Someone's Got Beef.

The next morning when I awoke, Max wasn’t in bed.

Showering and brushing my teeth, I headed downstairs to check if he was there.

On the island was a note, along with four failed attempts at making pancakes.

It read “I tried”

Laughing, I threw them away.

Only to see a burnt out pot in the bin.

“Max”

He replies, earning a blush

“From here on now, you are no longer welcomed in the kitchen”

“Yeah, messed up pretty bad”

The mind-link cuts off and I’m upstairs to pack.

Last night, we agreed that I’d move back.

I sometimes wonder if our pack was cursed.

Everything always seems so perfect when we’re away from that environment.

The best memories I have of us are from here.

Running the pack would be hard to do living out here.

But the selfish side of me wants to live in this city house forever.

A girl simply desires to be happy.
