Ava's POV

“Mira!” I screamed as Mira slumped onto my arm, her whole weight collapsing against me.

Everything had happened in a flash. I had seen Lyra rush toward me, but the knife had been hidden until it was too late. I tried to move, tried to escape, but then Mira suddenly appeared in front of me, her back turned toward me. The next moment, I saw her stumbling down, blood spilling out.

“No, no, no…” Lyra whispered, her voice shaking as she let go of the knife, her hand trembling. Her eyes widened in shock, her lips quivering like she couldn’t believe what she had just done.

“What did you just do?!” I screamed, my voice echoing. My gaze fell on Mira, blood gushing out nonstop. “Did you realise you just stabbed your sister?!” My chest tightened, my heart racing. Damn it, she was losing too much blood. What am I going to do?

Lyra’s face went pale. She staggered back like her legs were about to give up under her. “I… I wanted to stab you… Why did she jump there?” she stuttered, her voi

  • Mated To My Master's Beta   Chapter 84

Ava's POV The car sped through the road, every bump making Mira groan softly, and each sound tore through me like claws. I pressed my palm over her hand, whispering broken prayers even though I wasn’t sure who I was praying to. Please, just keep breathing. Please don’t leave me. If anything happens to you, I’ll never forgive myself. It should have been me, not you. By the time we reached the hospital, my hands and dress were soaked with her blood, her eyes closed. The sight made my stomach twist. I stumbled out of the car as soon as it stopped, shouting, “Help! Someone help us!” Nurses rushed out with a stretcher. They lifted Mira carefully, their faces tightening as they saw the knife wound. “She’s losing too much blood!” one of them shouted. My chest caved in at those words. My legs shook so badly I almost fell, but Briane caught my arm and steadied me. I followed closely as they wheeled Mira inside, my heart pounding in my ears. And i saw Thorne standing in the hallway, his

  • Mated To My Master's Beta   Chapter 82

Lyra’s POV ****************************** They had thrown me onto the hard floor of my room and slammed the door shut, locking it behind me. My knees stung from hitting the ground, but the pain inside me burned far worse. “No food. No water,” I whispered bitterly, repeating Darien’s cruel order. My voice trembled, half from anger, half from the dryness already crawling down my throat. He had denied me like I was nothing. Like I was trash. My stomach twisted, both from hunger and from anger. I had planned on going to the kitchen to get something to eat before i had saw that bitch poisoning Darien’s food. My fists balled tighter just thinking of it. How could they not see what I saw? I pounded my fists against the heavy door until my skin throbbed. I knew they hadn’t locked it with a key...no, the guards were leaning their bodies against it, treating me like a prisoner. “Dammit!” I hissed. My arms shook from hitting it so hard. “Idiots! All of you are idiots!” I screamed at the

  • Mated To My Master's Beta   Chapter 81

Alpha Darien’s POV “No!” I gasped, my chest heaving as I tried to push away again. But he was relentless. Each bite, each claw, stripped me of what I was. My flesh ripped and blood sprayed everywhere. My body was breaking piece by piece beneath him, and I couldn’t stop it. For the first time in my life, fear slithered in. A cold, ugly fear that twisted my insides. Not because of death—I had never feared death. But because this… this was humiliation. To be slaughtered by the very dog I had raised in front of the people I had made to fear me–my pack. I tried again, one last time, to reach inward, to call my wolf. “Shift, damn you!” I screamed in my head. “SHIFT!” But there was only silence. And then his fangs hovered above my throat. My pulse hammered so loud it was deafening. My vision darkened at the edges, my breaths shallow and wet. If he bit down… it would be the end. Then, to my surprise, Thorne stepped off me. His wolf form shimmered and cracked, his body twisting back i

  • Mated To My Master's Beta   Chapter 80

Alpha Darien’s POV When Soren, one of my bodyguards, had told me a few hours ago that he noticed Thorne was gathering some men in secret, I had known something was wrong. Tell me—why would Thorne gather armies when I never asked him to? Why would my Beta hide soldiers like some rat unless he was preparing to bite the hand that fed him? And when Thorne had come to me himself, pretending to be loyal, saying we should meet the supplier here of all places… my suspicions had been confirmed. He thought I was blind. Fool. That was when I had prepared my own army. Taking Thorne down myself would have been nothing but a piece of cake, a sweet little reminder of who made him. But I wanted to end things quicker, so I had ordered my soldiers to stay back at home and watch the clan instead, to kill anyone trying to break through. No matter what little plan Thorne had cooked, I had thought I was ten steps ahead. “You’re too weak, Thorne. I told you…” I scoffed, twisting the blade inside his si

  • Mated To My Master's Beta   Chapter 79

Ava's POV My gaze stayed locked on the door like it would open any second and Thorne would walk through. I moved slowly and sat on the bed, but my chest kept rising and falling fast, like I had just been running. I pressed my palm against my stomach, trying to calm the butterflies that refused to settle. “He’s gone,” I whispered to myself, my voice shaking. “He’s really going to do it.” But the silence of the room made my thoughts echo louder. The weight of reality pressed hard on me. Darien, the monster who had controlled every single breath I took…soon, he would be gone. It didn’t feel real. It felt like some kind of dream I might wake up from at any second. A small laugh escaped my lips, nervous and shaky. Was freedom really this close? Could it really be mine? But what if something went wrong? My throat tightened. What if Darien already suspected him? What if Darien hurt him during their fight? No, no, Ava. Be positive. You can’t let your mind go there now. You’ll break apart
