The entire night was filled with restlessness as I tossed and turned, feeling the duvet cover suffocate my body as it wrapped tightly around me. I sat up, running a hand over my head. I needed to see her. My wolf and demon were restless and until they had both seen her with their own eyes, there would be no sleep for me.

“Fine, I’m up,” I growled at both of them, pain in the ass that they were. As I headed the many stairs, the castle was quiet at this hour. Only a handful of night guards and patrols were present, acknowledging me with nods or baring their necks, occasionally whispering “alpha,” as I walked by.
