MIA'S POV:

“Why am I not happy that Leon said he’ll only treat me as his sister from now on? Why do I feel sad in my heart?” I asked myself after my mother went upstairs. I sat on the black couch alone in the living room, waiting for my mother to return.

The living room was painted white and featured a flat‑screen television, a built‑in aquarium, a beautiful home theater, flower vases, and colorful lights to beautify the space.

“It’s because they are our mates—your future husbands—and you need to calm down, Mia, and follow your heart. If you reject them, you will be unhappy,” the soft, feminine voice whispered back to me, and I tensed.

“Who are you again?” I demanded, trying not to frighten the voice that had spoken to me before. I didn’t know if the voice was human or a spirit.

“I am Molly. Your wolf.”

“My wolf? Where are you?” I asked, looking around the living room, but I didn’t see any wolf.

So, where was she? I still had doubts that I was a werewolf. My body trembled with the realization that I was truly a werewolf, and my mother was right about me having the ability to shift into a wolf and a human.

“I’m in you,” Molly replied calmly as she purred in my head. “Do you want to shift to me? We can run around the woods with the others. Those triplets are ours and will be our mates once you turn eighteen,” she said in a sweet voice, making me speechless.

My heart fluttered, and heat rose up my neck.

“Mia,” my mother’s voice snapped me back to reality as she returned to the living room with the photo album. She gently descended the stairs and approached me on the couch, holding the photo album in her hand.

Mom was still dressed in her white nightdress that exposed her thighs, but she had put on her white, long‑sleeved jacket and tied it at the front.

As she plopped down beside me on the couch, she said, “Mia, here’s the album I want to show you. It’s my family album. When I turned sixteen and met my wolf, Kalani, I was so excited that I could shift like the rest of our pack members. And this is your father when I turned eighteen and met him. Your father and I were studying at White Hills Academy about twenty years ago. Your father was very busy with his research work even as a young man, but I loved him and thought he would stay with me and we would build a big family together. However, I am a white wolf, and he’s brown. So I’m thinking that you will have a white wolf too, given that you resemble me. Here, have a look.”

Mom handed the photo album to me as she showed me herself, her older brother, Blake, his wife, Lana, and their two pups, Veronica and Godwin, who were young children back then.

“So, Mom, Veronica is a werewolf and my cousin too?” I asked my mother with a look of shock on my face when she showed me a picture of my cousins, Veronica and Godwin Jackson.

“Yes. Veronica is a werewolf too; she is seventeen years old like you and studying at the pack’s academy as an accountant. Hopefully, she will turn eighteen this year and find her mate, too,” Mom replied happily, and I scowled.

“Well, Mom, Veronica and I aren’t close. She doesn’t like me, and I didn’t know she was my cousin,” I said through clenched teeth, knowing that Veronica was one of the female students at the academy who wanted the Triple L to notice her.

Veronica loves to go on errands for triplet and talk about them all day. Most of the students think Veronica is the Triple L’s girlfriend.

“Mom, Veronica always acts superior, like she is better than me. She doesn’t like me, and I am surprised that she is my cousin,” I said, my tone filled with surprise after closing the album.

Mom frowned and asked me, “Do you want me to call Veronica tomorrow and speak with her to get along with you at the academy?”

“No need, Mom. I have a good friend, Vivian Adams. But I’m afraid she is a werewolf too. She never told me anything about being a werewolf,” I said, disappointed by Vivian keeping this secret from me.

“I assume she doesn’t want to scare you,” Mom replied softly, and I nodded calmly. “Maybe.”

“Thank you, Mom, for telling me about myself. But I still have a hard time believing that I am truly a werewolf,” I said, just as my mother rose from the couch beside me and held the photo album in her hand.

“It’s fine, Mia. Once my parents return, we can have a family gathering. They traveled to China for their vacation, and I don’t know when they’ll be back. We will have a big family reunion party, and maybe I will introduce you to all of them. I will call my mother and tell her about the wedding with Alpha David. I’m sure they wouldn’t miss it,” Mom said, speaking about her parents, and I smiled.

“Alright, Mom. It’s late. Let me go to my room and sleep. Good night,” I replied, and I followed my mother to the top floor. She went into her room to join Alpha David, and I heard his deep voice speaking to someone on the phone in her room.

Sighing, I walked into my room, which was adjacent to my mother’s room. I shut the door and went to look at my reflection in the mirror.

“Molly,” I called the name of my wolf as I gazed at myself in the wide mirror.

“Yeah. I’m here. Do you want to shift to me?” Molly asked me calmly.

“No,” I replied softly, seeing my blue eyes glow in the mirror.

“Did I just do that?” I gasped, and Molly purred, “Yeah.”

“What else can I do—like magic?” I asked Molly, my voice curious.

“You can shift, talk to someone through mind link, and heal faster,” she said, and I found that fascinating.

“Alright. Later, you can give me an update. Now I need to sleep and hope that I’m not dreaming. Tomorrow is Saturday, and I won’t be going to the academy,” I said, relieved, as I went to my bathroom to relieve myself. Since I got back from school, I hadn’t even had my evening bath.

“How about the Triple L? Are you going to reject them?” Molly asked me fearfully.

“I don’t know how to deal with them. How can I have three boyfriends? And also, my mother is going to marry their father. I’m sure Mom won’t approve of them,” I said, and Molly groaned.

“Then don’t support your mother’s wedding,” she said.

“Well, I want my mother to be happy, and the only thing that can stop her wedding is if my father returns. If my father doesn’t return, then there’s no way for me to stop the wedding or get along with the triplets. They are bullies, too,” I reminded Molly, and she groaned again.

“Can’t you call your dad to return? Tell him that your mother is going to marry Alpha David. You’ll see your dad return immediately,” Molly said, but I knew that was impossible.

Mia's POV:"What's wrong with you, Mia? You gave me a scare right now. Not only me, but the Triple L too, with the way you ran away from the dining table," Mom said, her tone laced with disappointment as I walked out of the bathroom and headed to the bed in my room to sit down.I was still overwhelmed. How did I admit the truth to all of them?Mom left me and went into my closet, and she came out with the gift box that Grandma Khloe had asked me to go and wear."Tell me, Mia. What stops you from wearing this to find your real mate? It's not too late to still wear it," Mom said, as she pulled the box open to reveal the pink diamond necklace nestled within."I do not want to wear it, Mom," I said, and she peered at me with disappointment."Why? Why don't you want to wear it? It will help you find your mate. Go on," she encouraged me to take it out and put it on around my neck, but I refused."I don't need this to find my mate. I have already found my mate," I said, and my mother gasped

Mia's POV:Standing up from the dining table, I turned to face Grandma Khloe."I don't want to wear it," I said, and the room fell silent."Why? Don't you want to find your mate? Have you found him and don't want to tell us?" She asked, her voice filled with concern for me, but I felt bad that I was lying to my grandmother."It's complicated, Grandmother. I want to finish my studies first before I find my mate. I don't want to get distracted," I said, my tone soft as my eyes darted to peer at Leon and his brothers. Their eyes were fixated on me too."Mia," Grandma Khloe spoke softly, her anger calming down as she said, "I know that you are anxious about finding your mate, but I promise you, you can also grow together. You don't have to keep your mate in the dark. He will love you, please, go and bring it and wear it. It's for the best," Grandma insisted, and Alpha David called to my attention."Mia, do you have the necklace in your possession? Although I am not in support of witchcraf

**Mia's POV**The next day, I was startled awake by the loud noise that cheered, "Happy Birthday, Mia!" The voices squealed in my room, and my eyes fluttered open to see everyone in my room. They wore white pajamas, and I thought it was a dream.Alpha David stepped forward with a bottle of wine in his hand and said, "Cheers to the good life, Mia. I wish you happiness as you join adulthood.""Thank you, Alpha," I squealed as I watched Alpha David pour a drink and take a shot.Mom happily walked up next to my bed and said, "Happy birthday to you, my baby girl. I am happy to see the young, beautiful woman that you have grown up to become, and I wish you eternal happiness.""Thanks, Mom," I replied as my mother stepped back because she couldn't drink due to her pregnancy. I watched Alpha Liam step forward next."Happy birthday, little sister. I wish you a lovely birthday ahead," Luis said, his deep voice making me smile on the bed, and I replied, "Thank you."Liam came forward next, his f

**Mia's POV**Striding downstairs, I caught sight of the family seated around the dining table. The delicious smell of food hung in the air, and I gulped hard as my throat began to salivate. What surprised me the most was seeing Veronica seated next to Leon at the table, with Luis and Liam next to her. They had saved a seat for me at the head, opposite my mother.I tried to ignore them as I walked towards the table and greeted Alpha David. He was wearing a yellow shirt and black trousers, and seemed like he had just returned before being invited to have dinner with us."Good evening, Dad," I greeted Alpha David with a smile as I settled across from my mother."Thank you, Mia. How was your day at the Academy, and with getting ready for your birthday party tomorrow? Have you found your mate?" Alpha David asked softly, and I tried so hard not to look at the Triple L.I could feel their gaze crawling over my skin, so I gulped hard and replied, "I am still searching for my mate." I thought

Leon's POV:Walking out of Mia's room with Veronica, I knew that the sight of my brothers with Veronica would affect Mia a lot, but if we didn't do this, she would be unconcerned of how her actions were affecting us too."Thank you, Alpha Leon. I hadn't expected to share your room with you," Veronica said, giggling but I made it clear to her. "We are friends, Veronica. So it's nothing bad if you share a room with me. You're like my sister and I want to see you become better."Veronica nodded and asked, "How about you take me as your girlfriend, Leon? Please… I want you and I am not a kid anymore.""No, not now. Let's focus on helping you improve with your grades, okay. And I will take care of you. When you pass the exam, then we can take our relationship to the next level," I said, not wanting her to think that I am using her to get back at Mia."Really? Aww. Then I will study hard," she said, her lips curling up with a smile while I showed her to the closet to keep her bag."Leon, ho

Mia's POV:I wasn't happy with the way Alpha Leon cut my mother off. Even though he was the Alpha after his dad, he had no right to speak to my mother like that."Alpha Leon, I don't care if you want Veronica to share your room too, but don't speak so lowly of my mother," I challenged him and he smirked."I am not, I respect your mother, but you have to respect my decision too. Come on, babe," he rose from the couch and lifted Veronica in his arms.Couldn't she walk with her legs? Why must he carry her like she was his girlfriend?Veronica purred and hugged Leon, resting her head against his chest. The doorbell rang as I stood watching them walk past me.I tried to act like I was not affected by the sight of it all, but I was.As the door swung open, Godwin stepped in with a black box and handed it over to Luis, before he turned to face my mother."Good evening, Aunt.""Yeah, welcome Godwin," my mother replied with a forced smile, while Godwin didn't even spare me a glance at all.
