Chapter 6

(Mia's POV)

"Why am I not happy that Leon said he will only treat me as his stepsister? Why do I feel sad?" I asked myself sadly as I sat on the black couch in the living room, waiting for my mother to return.

The living room was painted white and featured a flat-screen television, an inbuilt aquarium, a beautiful home theatre, flower vases, and lights to beautify the space.

"It's because they are your mates. You need to calm down, Mia, and follow your heart. You cannot reject them, or you will be unhappy," the soft voice whispered back, scared that I would reject her too.

"Who are you?" I asked, trying not to fear the voice that had spoken to me as I didn't know if the voice was human or spirit.

"I am Molly. Your wolf."

"My wolf?" I asked with doubt laced in my voice. My body trembled at the realisation that I am truly a werewolf, and my mother was right about me having the ability to shift into a werewolf and a human.

"Yes," Molly replied, her voice soft as she purred in my head.

"Do you want to shift to me? We can run around the woods and run along with the others. Those triplets are yours and will be your mates once you turn eighteen," Molly stated, her voice soft and making me speechless.

"Mia," Mom returned with the photo album, gently descending the stairs as she held the album in her hand.

She was still dressed in her short white dress that had her thighs exposed, but she had put on her white flowing long-sleeve jacket and tied it at her front.

As she approached me on the couch, Mom said, "Here's the album that I want to show you. This was me when I turned sixteen and met my wolf, Kalani. I was so excited that I could shift like the rest of our pack members. And this is your father when I turned eighteen and met him. We were studying at White Hills Academy then. Your father was very busy with his research even as a young man, but I loved him and thought he would stay. I am a white wolf, but he's brown. So I am thinking that you will have a white too, given that you resembled me. Here, have a look."

Mom handed over the photo albums as she showed me herself, her older brother, Blake, his wife, Lana, and their two pups, Veronica and Godwin.

"So, Mom, Veronica is a werewolf too?" I asked her, my eyes widened in shock when she showed me a picture of my cousin sister.

"Yes. Veronica is a werewolf. She is seventeen years old like you. Hopefully, she will turn eighteen years old this year and find her mate."

"Mmm," I frowned, knowing that Veronica was one of the slaves at White Hills Academy that wanted the Triple L.

"Mom, Veronica and I ain't close. She doesn't treat me like I'm her cousin. She always acts superior and like she is better than me," I said after closing the album.

Mom frowned and asked me, "Do you want me to call Veronica by tomorrow and speak with her to get along with you?"

"No need, Mom. I have a good friend, Vivian. But I am afraid she is a werewolf too. But she never told me anything about werewolf."

"I assume she doesn't want to scare you," Mom said, her voice soft, and I nodded and replied calmly, "Maybe."

"Thank you, Mom, for telling me about myself. But I still have a hard time believing that I am truly a werewolf," I said, just as my mother rose from the couch beside me and held the photo album in her hand.

"It's fine, Mia. Once my parents return, we can have a family gathering. They travelled to China for their anniversary vacation, and I do not know when they will be back. We will have a big family reunion, and maybe I will introduce you to all of them. I will call my mother and tell her about the wedding with Alpha David. I am sure they wouldn't miss it," Mom spoke about her parents, and I smiled.

"Alright, Mom. It's late. Let me go to my room and sleep. Goodnight," I replied and followed her to the top floor. She went into her room to join Alpha David, as I heard his deep voice speaking to someone on the phone in her room.

Sighing, I walked into my room that was adjacent to my mother's room. I shut the door and went to look at my reflection in the mirror.

"Molly," I called my wolf's name as I gazed at myself in the wide mirror.

"Yeah. I am here. Do you want to shift to me?" Molly asked calmly.

"No," I replied softly, seeing my eyes glow in the mirror.

"Did I just do that?" I gasped, and Molly replied, "Yeah."

"What else can I do like magic?" I asked Molly, my voice curious.

"You can shift, talk to someone through mindlink, and also heal faster," Molly replied, and I found that fascinating.

"Alright. Later, you give me an update about myself. Now, I need to sleep and hope that I am not dreaming. Tomorrow is Saturday, and I will not be going to the academy," I said, relieved as I went to my bathroom to ease myself. Since I got back from school, I haven't even had my evening bath.

"How about Triple L? Are you going to reject them?" Molly asked me fearfully.

"I do not know how to deal with them. How can I have three boyfriends and also, my mother is going to marry their father? I am sure Mom will not approve of them," I said, and Molly groaned.

"Then do not support your mother's wedding," she said.

"Well, I want my mother to be happy, and the only thing that can stop her wedding is if my father returns. If my father didn't return, then there is no way for me to stop the wedding or get along with the Triple L. They are bullies too," I said, and Molly groaned again.

"Can't you call your Dad to return back? Tell him that your mother is going to marry Alpha David. You will see your Dad return back immediately," Molly said, but I knew that was impossible.
