LOGINMia's POV:
"Why am I not happy that Leon said he’ll only treat me as his sister from now on? Why do I feel sad?" I asked myself after my mother went upstairs. I sat on the black couch alone in the living room, waiting for her to return. The living room was painted white and featured a flat-screen television, a built-in aquarium, a beautiful home theater, flower vases, and colorful lights. "It’s because they are our mates, your future husbands. You need to calm down, Mia, and follow your heart. If you reject them, you will be unhappy," the soft feminine voice whispered back to me. I tensed. "Who are you again?" I demanded, trying not to frighten the voice. I didn’t know if it was human or a spirit. "I am Molly. Your wolf." "My wolf? Where are you?" I asked, looking around the living room, but I didn’t see anyone. So, where was she? I still had doubts that I was a werewolf. My body trembled with the realization that I truly was one, and my mother was right about me having the ability to shift between human and wolf form. "I’m in you," Molly replied calmly, purring in my head. "Do you want to shift into me? We can run around the woods with the others. Those triplets are ours and will be our mates once you turn eighteen," she said sweetly, making me speechless. My heart fluttered, and heat rose up my neck. "Mia," my mother’s voice snapped me back to reality as she returned to the living room with a photo album. She gently descended the stairs and approached me on the couch. Mom was still dressed in her white nightdress that exposed her thighs, but she had put on a long-sleeved white jacket and tied it in the front. As she sat down beside me, she said, "Mia, here’s the album I want to show you. It’s my family album. When I turned sixteen and met my wolf, Kalani, I was so excited that I could shift like the rest of our pack members. And this is your father when I met him at eighteen. Your father and I were studying at White Hills Academy about twenty years ago. He was very busy with his research, even as a young man, but I loved him and thought we would build a big family together. I am a white wolf, but he’s brown. So, I’m thinking you will have a white wolf too, since you resemble me. Here, have a look." Mom handed the photo album to me, showing me pictures of herself, her older brother, Blake, his wife, Lana, and their two pups, Veronica and Godwin, who were young children back then. "So, Mom, Veronica is a werewolf and my cousin?" I asked, shocked, when she showed me a picture of them. "Yes. Veronica is a werewolf. She's seventeen, like you, and studying accounting at the academy. Hopefully, she'll turn eighteen this year and find her mate, too," Mom replied happily. I scowled. "Well, Mom, Veronica and I aren’t close. She doesn’t like me, and I didn’t know she was my cousin," I said through clenched teeth, knowing that Veronica was one of the female students at the academy who wanted the Triple L to notice her. She loves to run errands for them and talks about them all day. Most of the students think Veronica is the Triple L’s girlfriend. "Mom, Veronica always acts superior, like she's better than me. She doesn’t like me, and I'm surprised she's my cousin," I said, my tone filled with surprise as I closed the album. Mom frowned. "Do you want me to call Veronica tomorrow and speak with her about getting along with you at the academy?" "No need, Mom. I have a good friend, Vivian. But I’m afraid she's a werewolf too. She never told me," I said, disappointed that Vivian had kept this secret from me. "I assume she didn’t want to scare you," Mom replied softly. I nodded calmly. "Maybe." "Thank you, Mom, for telling me about myself. But I still have a hard time believing that I'm truly a werewolf," I said as my mother rose from the couch, holding the photo album. "It’s fine, Mia. Once my parents return, we can have a family gathering. They traveled to China for their vacation, and I don’t know when they’ll be back. We'll have a big family reunion, and maybe I'll introduce you to everyone. I'll call my mother and tell her about the wedding with Alpha David. I’m sure they wouldn’t miss it," Mom said. I smiled. "Alright, Mom. It’s late. I'm going to my room. Goodnight," I replied and followed my mother upstairs. She went into her room to join Alpha David; I could hear his deep voice speaking to someone on the phone. Sighing, I walked into my room, which was adjacent to my mother’s, shut the door, and went to look at my reflection in the mirror. "Molly," I called the name of my wolf as I gazed at myself. "Yeah. I’m here. Do you want to shift into me?" she asked calmly. "No," I replied softly, seeing my blue eyes glow in the mirror. "Did I just do that?" I gasped. Molly purred, "Yeah." "What else can I do? Is it like magic?" I asked curiously. "You can shift, talk to someone through mind-link, and heal faster," she said. I found that fascinating. "Alright. You can give me an update later. Now, I need to sleep and hope that I’m not dreaming. Tomorrow is Saturday, so I won’t be going to the academy," I said, relieved, as I went to my bathroom. I hadn't even had my evening bath since I got back from school. "How about the Triple L? Are you going to reject them?" Molly asked fearfully. "I don’t know how to deal with them. How can I have three boyfriends? And my mother is going to marry their father. I’m sure Mom won’t approve," I said. Molly groaned. "Then don’t support your mother’s wedding," she said. "Well, I want my mother to be happy, and the only thing that can stop her wedding is if my father returns. If he doesn’t, then there’s no way for me to stop the wedding or get along with the triplets. They're bullies," I reminded Molly. She groaned again. "Can’t you call your dad and tell him that your mother is going to marry Alpha David? You’ll see, he'll return immediately," Molly said, but I knew that was impossible.Leon's POV:"Where is Mia? How can you remain standing outside here by the gate instead of going inside the mansion to see if she's alright?" Luis and Liam growled at me simultaneously when they arrived at the front of our father's black gate and found me standing there."Chill, guys. Mia is stable now," I said, grasping their shirts as they wore similar blue shirts like mine, paired with black trousers and black boots."Mmm," they gritted their teeth, and Luis raked his hand over his head and asked, "How do you know she's stable when you didn't go in to check?""Dad is inside, and Dr. John has already arrived to check on her," I said calmly, looking at my brothers' faces. They were worried, pacing back and forth."Still, we need to see her to be sure she's stable. I'm going inside," Liam said before walking away."Let's go in with him. We can tell Dad we heard Mia fainted. Now is the perfect time to move back in," Luis suggested, and I agreed, following them into the house."But what
Leon's POV:Due to the unexpected rogue attacks at our pack borders the previous night, where some shops were vandalized and the rogues stole from many of our pack members-most especially the market women and store owners-my brothers and I were busy. We ensured that the warriors were dispersed to secure the pack borders and maintain maximum security. We didn't have time to check on Mia either, as we were caught up in other duties.Initially, we chose to avoid her because the closer her 18th birthday got, the more we could smell her intoxicating vanilla scent, hear her heartbeat, and sense her arousal. We could even pry into her mind and mind-link her, but we hadn't done that yet.I had warned my brothers to keep their distance from Mia because she was getting ready to reject us.With Veronica's birthday the next day, my brothers and I were discussing whether we should attend it or not. Veronica was my father's beta's daughter, and my father didn't know that I had ended my relationship
Mia's POV:I didn't know why I was uneasy about Veronica's birthday the following day. Was it possible that she was going to become mated to any of the Triple L? Why was I having these restless feelings because Leon had avoided looking at my face?I was the one who used to avoid him, but now, he and his brothers had disappeared, and I couldn't see them.Shaking my head, I knew that Molly was the one having these silly thoughts about the Triple L, not me. I could not miss them, and I did not care if Veronica was mated to the triplets or not.My heart ached painfully as I said that. Before I knew it, I fell to the ground and slumped."Miss! Miss!" Mr. Andrew's voice reached my eardrums, but I lost consciousness.A few moments later, I awoke and saw myself lying on my bed in my room. My mother sat on the room chair, and I thought it was just her in the room, but as my eyes peered around, I saw Dr. John standing near my bed too.Dressed in a white dress shirt and black trousers, Dr. John
Mia's POV:When I got out of the car, I pondered what to purchase for Veronica as her birthday present. As Mr. Andrew drove the car along the pack's road, I peered at the open shops displaying some fancy wear and other items they sold.Sighing, I made up my mind to buy a beautiful golden watch for Veronica. After all, she was Leon's girlfriend, so what could I possibly give her that would surpass what her boyfriend normally gave her? When the car tires screeched to a halt, I got out and made my way into the shopping complex. As I walked through the mall, I caught sight of a shop that sold watches. The clerk, a young man in his early 30s, welcomed me. He was a Delta wolf by rank, as I could feel his wolf aura by glancing at his face."Welcome, miss," he greeted me politely. He was wearing a brown shirt and black slacks, featuring a pair of black shoes. He was tall, with striking blonde hair like mine, and he looked handsome."Thank you," I replied with a smile, realizing I had taken so
Mia's POV:Upon arriving home, I got out of the car, breathing out heavily."Is everything alright, miss?" Mr. Andrew asked in a concerned tone, but I forced a tight smile and peered at his face."Yes," I replied weakly. The more my birthday drew closer, the more I felt the bond and connection to the triplets.Molly had been dormant, but once Veronica spoke about me rejecting the triplets, Molly had risen to the surface, wanting to attack. The last time Molly did this was when Jacob had attacked me in the hotel's restroom. There were many things about my wolf that I didn't know about. She could act on her own and take control. It took a lot of resilience from me not to acknowledge the Triple L as my mates."You don't have to deny the bond, Mia. The triplets are ours!" Molly growled at me before shutting me out.Sighing, I strode ahead to Alpha David's mansion. The surroundings were calm, and the guards and maids lowered their heads at my arrival. It felt like I was their princess and
Veronica's POV:When I saw Liam and Luis walking up to me, I shrank back to run away; however, I collided with my elder brother behind me.My heart was racing, fearing that the Triple L wanted to discipline me in front of the multitude of students at this Academy, but seeing my older brother brought me relief. He held me possessively, hiding me behind his back, and he faced Liam and Luis."I will talk to Veronica. You guys don't have to humiliate her publicly because of a small misunderstanding," Godwin said, his voice stern as he peered at Liam and Luis."You should warn her to keep off from Mia. The next time Veronica does something like this again, not even you or Leon will plead with us on her behalf," Liam warned, his voice furious, and I trembled at the ferocity of his tone."Got it," Godwin replied to them, and they glared at me before walking away.Breathing out heavily, I stepped away from my older brother to thank him, but he questioned me with a hard voice, "What did you do
