~Leticia's POV~

I stared at him as he zoomed off. Honestly, I was too dumbfounded to talk. Like he literally stakes his claim and I could not do anything. Okay, I agree. I am denying the bond. That is because I don't want to get all too attached to him. Like I notice the way Damien and Ciara always behave. Not to talk of how Leo and Rose do.

Nah! I can't do that.

"So you know him?" Brian's voice came from behind me.

Gosh, I have forgotten that he was even here.

I turned to him and smiled.

"I should be the one asking you that question?" I said to him with a glare. He gulped down and looked away.

"So you were a wolf, like seriously? Wait, am I also your mate?" I asked him to be sure I am not between two guys.

"No, you are not." He said and my mind calmed down a bit.

But wait?

"Why?-"

"I lost my wolf already." He said and my eyebrows furrowed in pity.

"Hey, don't give me that look of pity. I am only with you because I love you but now that I found that that you are Legend's mate. I guess it's a goodbye." He said with a sad smile.

"Hmm, I..." He placed his hands over my lips.

"Legend happened to be my cousin." He said and my eyes went wide.

"What?" I asked in shock. His lips moved into that grin I had always loved.

"Yes, that's why whenever you ask me for my parents. I always give excuses." He said and I could understand.

"What of your parents?" I asked him.

"They're dead. It was in that war against witches. It also led to me losing my wolf. Actually, Legend was still young then and although his father wanted to take me in. I told him that I wanted to be free and explore everywhere since I would not be worried about some mate or so." He explained and I nodded my head.

"You are a witch and he is a wolf, I am afraid that his father will not allow it." He said and I breathed out.

"Do you accept him?" He asked as he carefully chose his words.

"The mating bond is quite strong. Even though I tried to deny it, I still feel attached in his embrace. So, yes, I do accept the mating bond." I said and he nodded his head.

"See ya." He said and exited the pack house.

Wow, breaking up with him was easier than I thought.

What Legend told me he needed earlier on crossed my mind and I knew I needed to go on a journey. Again.

But why will his father want that?

And besides what is the unsolved feud between them?

Wish I knew.

~Legend's POV~

I drove into the palace compound with a smile on my face. My father thinks he is cunning and sensible enough, well I also got that trait from him. I switched the car's engine and stepped out of the car. Locking the door, I whistled my way into the palace with the car key jingling in my hands.

"Oh goodness, you are back." Gael said as he walked towards me.

"You went out for so long." He said with a frown and I frowned back.

"Since when do you start taking track of the time I stay out of the palace?" I asked him as he walked behind me towards my room.

"Since the time I was required to help save your ass." He replied sarcastically and I rolled my eyes.

"Good day, Prince." The guards and maids that were passing by me greeted and I waved at them in dismissal.

We entered into my room and I pulled off my T-shirt, still whistling.

"Tell me why you are so energetic after drinking yourself to stupor for the last one week." He asked as he looked at me with scrutiny.

Okay, I might have said that Gael is my best friend. But while I was growing up, my aunt who is Brian's mother. Well yes, my mate's supposed fiance is the same person. Anyways, she told not to trust anyone. Not even the closest person to me. That is why I usually keep some things from Gael. And not to add, his strict kind of father. I can't handle him forcing his son to tell him things about me.

So, yeah. I will keep this from him also.

"Nothing. Just that I have got lots of things on my mind and I can't let it rule me. I mean, I am a man and the Alpha Prince. So... Yes! I need you to tell father to call for an urgent meeting with the royal court. I bet I have some words to say there." I said with a wink and he gazed at me.

"Words like what? I mean you are keeping me in the dark." He said with a huff.

"My father wants me to reject my mate and I am going to or else, I will be giving up my position which I don't want to. So I am going to be making a decision today." I said to him as he opened his lips wide.

"Close your mouth before the flies find their way in." I said and passed by him to take a singlet.

"Tell some maids to bring me some dishes, I am really hungry." I said to him and he nodded his head before walking away.

I breathed out and sat down. Then I heard a sound from somewhere, seems like someone was breaking in. I sniffed in the air and scoffed.

"You know as they say if you don't pass through the main gate, you can be labelled as a thief." I said and it was his turn to scoff.

"Says someone who does not know how to make a choice." He said and carried the bottle of alcohol I had hidden. He opened it and gulped down.

He scrunched his face as he brought the bottle down from his lips.

"Long time no see." I said and he laughed out.

"If you had not met me there, I would have gotten her to lay with me." I knew what card he was playing but I am not going to give him a reaction.

"Do you even know that she is yet to let me touch her? Except for kisses and all." He complained with a pout and I looked at him unwaveringly.

"What?" He asked.

"Whatever, I am going to reject her anytime soon. I guess you must have heard what my father said. You think I don't know he keeps check on you and also talk to you about the palace issues that too including me." I said and his jaw hardened.

"You might appear to be all too existent and free but I know that you so much want a mate and you are saddened that you can't." I said to him, suppressing the smirk that almost forced its way to my lips.

What I wanted to say was not what I said. Well, his mother taught me lots of things before she died. Even though I was younger then. I still relied on those words.

He licked his lips and took another sip from the alcohol.

"Well, I already broken up things with her. But with the way, you want to reject her. I think I should hold her back to me. Or what do you think?" He asked and I smirked. Loud steps started towards my room and he hissed out.

"Thanks for having me here. See ya." And with that, he's gone.

Gael pushed open the door and walked towards me.

"His highness said that he has heard and the court would be opened in few minutes." He informed me and I stood up.

Guess I need to dress like a Prince. An hot prince who is ready to hit the courtroom with a wrecking tornado.

~Third Person's POV~The moon was dim tonight as if trying to give a sign to the offenders that the day of their punishment already arrived. The shrews made their creaking sounds, making everywhere give off this eerie feeling. Strong and hidden guards stood outside the small apartment in preparation for the upcoming mission. His heart hammered against his chest as he paced to and fro with beads of sweat flowing down his forehead. In fact, his shirt was already soaked. He was finally caught. They finally caught him. How could that have been possible? He was careful about it, right? No wrong. How could they have found out about it so soon at that? To say he was even yet to accomplish his mission was another thing. He looked around for his phone but the motherfucking technology made item was no where to be found. Way to go. Good. Just good. All he could just do was expect the worse."Just come out in peace. Now!" Legend said calmly. He was in no mood to yell at all since he knew that th

~Legend's POV~I walked into my chambers with a throbbing head ache only to meet Ava sitting on my bed comfortably, dressed in a flimsy dress like the other day. More to add to my throbbing ache. I fought so hard not to scoff at her."Your highness." She said coyly and came towards me. I looked at her with fake acknowledgement. She looked scared, more like frightened. "Ava, there is nothing to be scared of. I will not let anything happen to you. And besides, Liam is here with you in the palace also. You can meet up with him and confide in him since I am always busy." I said all at a go. I don't want her sulking up to me like I am her prince in shining armor. Heck, I am not even close to it.She seemed to relax a bit. "Can I sleep here with you tonight?" She asked. What?! Why would she ask that?! No ways. "What if there is an attack, I can't protect myself with you here." I said, just have to give any stupid excuse. I sighed, gripped her shoulders tight and

~Third Person's POV~"Dominic, I am very sure Gael won't do some thing like that. Legend may be mistaken or may have mistaken him for the culprit. Gael will definitely not betray the werewolf kingdom. At least you know so well how I have brought him up. And I don't know why Legend did not consider that this same Gael was the person he grew up with, together. He does not even trust his own Beta." Ethan said as Dominic was busy playing with goldfish in the pond before him.Dominic exhaled deeply and turned to him because he knew his long time Beta won't drop the topic since this was concerning his son's integrity and also his lineage was in danger. "You and I both know we are like fire and ice. There is absolutely nothing I can say that will make Legend revoke his order on your son. He will never listen to any word as long as it comes from me. All I will say is that you should probably investigate this matter very well and dig up counter evidence to the ones he saw." Dominic s
