"Hey, Legend. You can't keep doing this to yourself." Gael's voice said from behind the door. I hissed out and gulped down another bottle of alcohol. It's been a week since my father gave me that stupid options that left me dumbfounded. I could not even think of an escape answer for him. All I did was watch my mate leave from the window of my room. I sniffed in and took another sip. I had locked myself in and refused to attend the court meetings but one thing my dad does not know is that I was drinking. I belched and took another sip. I have missed her so much to the extent that I don't even think I can ever see her again.
But why will dad put my life at jeopardy all because of his own mate?!I shook my head and tried to stand up but I slumped back on the floor. I winced slightly and checked my arm. Her bite mark was still there. The place she had bit me one week ago. I would say her teeth is quite sharp to the extent that they left a mark. I tried to get up again but then I heard mighty steps coming towards my room. I know who exactly it was. I scoffed and looked at the door. I locked it already, there is no way he can open. I sat there with a pout as I expected his voice but none came. Instead my mother's so convincing voice came through and it saddened my heart that I can not see her like this but at the same time, my heart was saddened even more that she was the reason that father refused to accept my mate and I cannot even tell her about it."Legend." She called out and I hiccuped."Legend, why did you have yourself locked in there?" She asked. I so much wish I could tell you but no, I can't because I love you.Come to think of it, if I tell her. How would she react? No, I can't. My father would send me into exile and hunt me down to kill me."I am fine, mother. I just need some personal space." I yelled forcefully. My voice came out croaked but at least I replied her. I stood up and walked to the huge mirror. I looked at just how handsome I was. A sadistic smile broke on my face.I can not keep drinking around. There has to be a way that I will let this work.Wait, Leticia is a witch? She can help us. Right? Then suddenly, an idea struck my mind and I smirked.I need to meet her.I walked towards my bathroom and ran a quick bath and shave for myself before skimming through my wardrobe for clothes. I adjusted my shirt and combed my hair slightly. The effect of the alcohol was beginning to wear off slowly and I have come back to my senses.I walked towards the door and removed the padlock and was shocked to see my father, mother, Gael and some other palace attendants. My eyebrows creased in confusion with my eyes questioning them."Hmm, Legend. You got your mother so worried about you." Father said and I gave him the knowing look. I turned to my mother and grinned at her."Mother, I am really sorry for getting you all worked up and worried about your only son." I said as I pulled her into a hug."You smell like someone who's being drinking, have you?" She asked in a low key. Okay, I forgot that my mother's high sense of smell. I coughed slightly and moved away from her. I smiled stupidly at her and looked at Gael to help me send them away. He seemed to understand because he nodded his head."Alpha King sir and Luna Queen, I will take it from here." He said and they both looked in between us. And my father shook his head and took my mother by her hands and walked off.I breathed out and suppressed a yawn."Good for you." Gael remarked as we walked out of the palace. I rolled my eyes and shook my head."So why did you lock yourself in the room for a whole week?" Gael asked."My father wants me to reject my mate." I said and that was all I could tell him. He gasped."What?! Why would he want that?" He asked again."My father is unpredictable so who knows. See, I need to see someone very important. Call me if I am needed in the palace." I said and got into the car. He nodded his head and I ignited the car's engine before zooming away.*I got to Silver Moon pack since that was where I was told she was staying. Just as if the guards recognized me as the Alpha Prince. They did not question me. Instead they paved way for me and my chest swelled in pride. I walked towards the pack house and pushed the door. I was greeted with a sight that set my head and mind into crazy mode. Ryder stirred and tried to take over but I forced him down."I will do this my way." I said to him in my head. He scoffed and sat back. My mate, Leticia turned towards me with another guy sitting close to her. He was whispering some things into her ear and she was giggling.Has he mated her yet?But then I zoomed my eyes on the guy and I recognized him instantly. Wait, he is still alive? He is obviously.Well, let's put that aside."Alpha Prince Legend." Another voice greeted me, making me cut the eye contact. I looked at Damien who had this tight smile on his face."Leticia," A lady called her and she reluctantly stood up."See who is here. My supposed mate, Legend Brendon. What got your panties in a twist? Oh, are you here to apologize to me for the mistake you made by calling me your mate? Or are you here to kidnap me?" She asked with a snarl."Wait, don't forget who I am." She said with a smile. I scoffed and went towards her. She surprisingly did not move back. Instead she stood firm. I took her by the hand and led her towards the door and outside."Leave me alone." She gritted her teeth, trying to wriggle her hand away from my grip. I am always holding her tight. When I got to a place that was quiet, I dropped her hand and exhaled."First thing, I am not lying when I said you were my mate. And second thing, I am in a tight position. I really need your help." I said to her and she crossed her arms beneath her breasts. I swallowed lightly and looked away."And what kind of help is that?" She asked."I need..."**I looked back at her as she stared at me with scrutiny. I smirked and blew her a kiss which she cringed her face too. I snorted as I got into my car. I don't know why she keeps ignoring and denying our bond when I know she can feel it.She walked faster into the woods. Her heart hammering against her chest. She was scared. Scared that she will lose her mate. Scared that she will be be unable to have a taste of the bliss of a being Legend's mate. Of being anybody's first mate. Her hand subconsciously gripped the orb in her wrist. A ray of light flashed swiftly before her and she halted to a stop instantly. What was that? She thought. She was about to continue walking when she heard walking behind. Preparing the spell she would use on the attacker immediately, she was about to say it when a smile on Brian's face stopped before her. Her brows furrowed in confusion and shock as she looked at h for his head to toe."Hello," Brian greeted with a dimpled smile. She was still thinking about what happened to Legend and now, Brian was here, standing before her like he did not know anything was happening in the palace. Are they in any way related?"Brian, what are you doing here?" She asked, seizing him up. He shifted uncomfor
~Third Person's POV~Leticia looked at the stone glistening in her hand. She knew Legend was in a dangerous situation. She was beginning to shake in fear and anxiety was eating through her veins. What was happening to him? She thought as she paced to and fro. Leo stood gazing at her, taking in the way she was shaking. He folded his arms and walked towards her. She did not notice him as she bumped into him. She let out a sharp cry and jerked back in shock. Looking up, she saw Leo eyeing her with a deadly gaze then she swallowed lightly as nervousness reeked out of her."What happened to him?" He asked. He had already found out about Legend not rejecting her but she still refused to tell him more details but then he was bent on protecting his sister."I.. I... Erm... I feel like he is in some sort of trouble." She stuttered out as obvious worry crossed her face and his face softened a bit, his muscles relaxed a bit as he understood how she must be feeling. But what was happening to Le
~Third Person's POV~The moon was dim tonight as if trying to give a sign to the offenders that the day of their punishment already arrived. The shrews made their creaking sounds, making everywhere give off this eerie feeling. Strong and hidden guards stood outside the small apartment in preparation for the upcoming mission. His heart hammered against his chest as he paced to and fro with beads of sweat flowing down his forehead. In fact, his shirt was already soaked. He was finally caught. They finally caught him. How could that have been possible? He was careful about it, right? No wrong. How could they have found out about it so soon at that? To say he was even yet to accomplish his mission was another thing. He looked around for his phone but the motherfucking technology made item was no where to be found. Way to go. Good. Just good. All he could just do was expect the worse."Just come out in peace. Now!" Legend said calmly. He was in no mood to yell at all since he knew that th
~Legend's POV~I walked into my chambers with a throbbing head ache only to meet Ava sitting on my bed comfortably, dressed in a flimsy dress like the other day. More to add to my throbbing ache. I fought so hard not to scoff at her."Your highness." She said coyly and came towards me. I looked at her with fake acknowledgement. She looked scared, more like frightened. "Ava, there is nothing to be scared of. I will not let anything happen to you. And besides, Liam is here with you in the palace also. You can meet up with him and confide in him since I am always busy." I said all at a go. I don't want her sulking up to me like I am her prince in shining armor. Heck, I am not even close to it.She seemed to relax a bit. "Can I sleep here with you tonight?" She asked. What?! Why would she ask that?! No ways. "What if there is an attack, I can't protect myself with you here." I said, just have to give any stupid excuse. I sighed, gripped her shoulders tight and
~Third Person's POV~He jumped down from the window into the darkest part of the office. He winced hard as his foot made contact with the hard floor. Biting back the groan that was threatening to escaped, he tiptoed into the office, looking around consciously and making sure no one him or was even there to see him.He was here for some thing but one thing is that he did not know the thing was kept. He practically didn't know where it was. Moving towards the stack of papers that was on your shelf, he pulled them one by one and saw nothing. "Where did this dumbass keep it?" He whisper-mused in annoyance. Exhaling deeply, he looked around and could not fathom where the ring was hidden. The ring... It held the royal power. And he was in search for it.He cursed incoherently as he stood before a huge portrait he had never noticed was there despite having been in here for more hours than he can count. "Huh?" He thought as he looked at what was drawn on it. It was nothing unusu
~Third Person's POV~"Dominic, I am very sure Gael won't do some thing like that. Legend may be mistaken or may have mistaken him for the culprit. Gael will definitely not betray the werewolf kingdom. At least you know so well how I have brought him up. And I don't know why Legend did not consider that this same Gael was the person he grew up with, together. He does not even trust his own Beta." Ethan said as Dominic was busy playing with goldfish in the pond before him.Dominic exhaled deeply and turned to him because he knew his long time Beta won't drop the topic since this was concerning his son's integrity and also his lineage was in danger. "You and I both know we are like fire and ice. There is absolutely nothing I can say that will make Legend revoke his order on your son. He will never listen to any word as long as it comes from me. All I will say is that you should probably investigate this matter very well and dig up counter evidence to the ones he saw." Dominic s
