Liana's POV

I didn't have a lot going today, and for some strange reason, I really didn't mind. Usually, I loved to fill my days with a million and one activities. In fact, as many as I can think of, but recently, I'd begun to bask in the silence that came with not doing anything. Maybe pregnancy was finally starting to take a toll on me, but whatever it was, I found myself craving uneventful days even more

Maybe it had something to do with the fact that I had time to do whatever I wanted to do. I could lounge in the garden all day, I could even decide to turn on a movie and munch on my snack for as long as I wanted, and no one would bother me. Well, no one asides Tiva and Kieran though. Those two were obsessed with making sure I was safe during my pregnancy and whatnot, even though I continually told them that I was fine.

I flipped open the page of my book, all whilst sipping the glass of orange juice Tiva had set out for me. I was just about to go into the next page, when my p

Kieran's POV Shouts echoed in the distance, and even though I wasn't a fan of noise, I wouldn't be exaggerating when I said I loved the sounds that reached my ears. They weren't just meaningless echoes and what not, but instead, they signified my first step at the completion of something I've only ever dreamed about. The pack's own sustainable and renewable source of energy. Today was the official day for the beginning of the project, and it would be an understatement to say I was excited. My body thrummed like the mere thought of it all was sending goosebumps and shivers down my spine. Today, I was finally going to see one of my dreams come true. I stood rooted to my spot as I watched the man walk up and down. Each one of them were busy, some hauling wooden materials, and the others carrying heavy pieces of iron and what not. I was still admiring it all when someone tapped me in the shoulder. “Good day sir.” He echoed beside me and I realized he was one of the construction man

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 131

Liana's POV A small groan slid past my lips as I slowly stirred awake. A dull pain throbbed at my sides, and even though it was somewhat mild, my body still registered it as a threat to my survival. I tried to roll to the other side, thinking it was a good idea, but apparently, my body had other plans. I had barely come in contact with the cushion underneath me, before the pain I was feeling earlier intensified. The urge to scream rose up my throat, but I pushed it back down again. I wasn't even sure where I was, so screaming wasn't even the best thing I could come up with. Judging from the time and places I'd woken up in, I thought it best to be as quiet as I could be. What if I'd been kidnapped or hidden somewhere? Yelling was only going to bring me an insane amount of attention, and that was the last thing I wanted for myself. I muttered underneath my breath as I forced myself to sit up, all with my eyes closed. I let out another sigh as my back came in contact with a soft k

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 130

Liana's POV I wish I'd seen it coming, then maybe I would have been able to prevent it from actually happening. Or so I thought. Deep down, I knew my knowledge of what was coming, still wouldn't be able to stop it, at least not completely, but I would have still gotten an idea of when it was about to happen, and figured out a way to stop it, or at least reduce the pain that came with it. Instead, I was sprawled on the ground, an intense pain buzzing through my entire being.A groan slid past my lips as I tried to get up. I couldn't, because if I didn't know better, I would have said there was an invisible boulder pressed over me from above, because that was the only explanation I could give as to why I couldn't get up. My hands were twisted at an unnatural angle, and a small part of me couldn't help but feel like I'd probably broken them or sprained my ankle. Shit. I pressed my eyes shut, and my mind must have taken that as an avenue to recount the moments that led to this scena

Chapter 116Kieran's POV I had mixed feelings the moment I walked back into the room, just to see Liana already asleep. A part of me was happy that she was resting, but another part of me couldn't help but feel sad. I'd thought about spending more time with her when I got back from seeing the doctor out. In a way, I couldn't help but feel guilty. The only reason why she had passed out, was because she was alone and unattended to. If I'd stayed back just like she had asked, then it would never have gotten to this point. Guilt spread through my chest, and the more I stared at her sprawled on the bed, the more hurt I felt. Liana deserved the world, not to be abandoned for work. As I crawled into bed next to her, I made a promise to myself to stay away from work, till she was better. The doctor said she needed rest, and I was going to make sure she got it. Even if it was the last thing I did. I didn't know how long it was before I fell asleep, but I knew my hand wrapped around her he

  • Mated To The Alpha King   Chapter 128

Liana's POV A lot of things had been getting to me lately, and surprisingly, a good number of them had been coming from Kieran. I would be lying if I said I didn't understand. He was trying his level best to make sure I was happy and what not, but deep down, maybe my hormones or something, just didn't agree with him. I'd been trying to keep it in check, pregnancy was already harder than I thought it was, but it hurt that even the tiniest and smallest things, was all it took to make me mad. “Who is it?” Kieran's voice came from the other side of his office. I'd knocked a couple of seconds ago, and even though he didn't answer immediately, I knew he'd heard me. “Liana.” I let out slowly, my voice almost inaudible. I wasn't sure, but a small part of me could have sworn that he heaved a tired sigh.“Come in.” He let out after what seemed like forever. As carefully as I could, I turned the knob on the door, before pushing it open and stepping inside. As expected, Kieran was hunched
