Naomi's POV

Soon, Malia was done and she was about to leave.

"It's past midnight already. I think I should get some rest and you should too. It's been a long day." Malia comforted me.

"Thanks, Malia. Thanks for always standing by me even when every other person despises me. I can always trust you in everything right?" I inquired.

She came back and took my hands while she stared into my eyes "I've always got you, Naomi. Whatever may happen and whatever our colleagues may do to you I will always hold your hands and I will always love you as my best friend. And remember that you will always be the sister I never had and our friendship will not be broken, not now and not in the future to come and not by anything. I promise you today." Malia concluded her words with a hug that lasted for twenty minutes with tears rolling down my eyes.
