Orin's pov

The sound of bones breaking filled the night, but I couldn’t move. I sat there in my mate’s blood, my hands trembling. The warmth around me was fading, just like the life in her eyes. My chest hurt so much it felt like my heart was being ripped out.

My lips trembled as the words slipped out, barely a whisper. “What… what have I done?”

My throat tightened, and my chest felt heavy, like something inside me was collapsing. I looked down at my blood-stained hands, the sight making my stomach twist.

“How… how could I have done this?” I choked out, my voice breaking. My fingers shook as I reached toward her, or what had remained of her, but I stopped halfway, afraid to touch what I had destroyed.

I was still crying, my hands shaking and covered in blood, when I heard people screaming and running in every direction.

Then I felt it.

I felt Veythar.

His growl started deep inside me, low and rough, but it kept growing louder. My chest burned as if fire was crawling under my skin.

Kaelis's pov“What do you think?” I asked as I took a gown from the wardrobe and held it against myself. I looked down at it, adjusting the fabric a little so I could see how it fit, then turned slightly to get a better view. I waited quietly for an answer but none came. I turned to Elaris, who was giggling, her eyes glued to her phone.I groaned as I looked down, my lips turning downward as a crease formed between my brows. "You'd better be looking for good fittings on Pinterest, Ela."She slowly raised her head up as she jerked a little when she noticed me watching her. Her phone slipped in her hand as she quickly locked the screen, pretending she hadn’t been doing anything."I… I wasn’t doing anything," she said, forcing a small smile. But her voice wavered, and the way she held the phone close to her side looked almost defensive.I tapped her lightly with the dress, and she let out a small, dramatic moan. It sounded so silly that we both started laughing right away."Do you..." I

Orin's povThe sound of drums and excited chatter floated up from below, filling the hall with energy. Today was the day I was going to make Kaelis mine, the day everything I had wanted would finally fall into place.I stepped in front of the mirror, studying my reflection. A slow smile spread across my face as I straightened my posture. For the first time in a long while, I felt whole. Finally, Veythar wouldn’t be lonely anymore, and I could feel the pieces of my life clicking into place.'Something doesn't feel right, Ashvale,' Veythar said. His tone was sharp, like a blade that could cut through the air, and there was a weight in his words that made my confident smile falter for the briefest moment.“Don’t be so negative, Vey,” I said, trying to sound calm. “Be happy about this. Tonight we finally get our mate, and someone else joins us. It’s what we have wanted.” I smiled, but my stomach felt tight.'I’m excited too, Ashvale…' Veythar’s voice rumbled in my mind, strong and low. 'B

Kaelis's pov"You got this, Kaelis," I whispered to myself.I stood outside the hotel as the sun's rays bounced off the glasses. I took a loud gulp before heading into the building. My mind had not been at rest since Draven had confronted me. And maybe he was right. Maybe I was always so stuck up about myself and never really thought about anyone else. The building inside was grand and elegant. The floor was made of smooth marble that shone under the golden lights. A huge crystal chandelier hung from the high ceiling, scattering light across the room like tiny stars.Tall pillars lined the hallway, and gold details ran along the walls. The air smelled of roses and expensive perfume. Soft classical music played in the background, adding to the place's rich, calming feel.Plush velvet chairs and glass tables sat neatly around the lobby. A fountain in the center flowed gently, its water sparkling under the lights. Everything looked polished and perfect, like a place built for royalty.I

Draven's pov"Where the fuck is he?" The voice called out, followed by the sound of glasses crashing on the floor.I quickly switched off the shower and wrapped my soaked body with a towel before stepping out of the bathroom. The cold hair hit me first but I paid no mind as I walked to the room.I saw Elaris tearing through the room, trashing everything, while Jax held her and tried to stop her, but he was doing so with little to no effort. "Elaris!" I shouted. She turned to me slowly. Her jaw was tight, and her hand shook as she held the glass high. The veins on her arm stood out, and her eyes were fixed on me without blinking. For a moment, I didn’t know if she was going to throw it or not.“Put it down, Elaris,” I said firmly, reaching my hand out toward her.Elaris looked at me and slowly let her hands drop, but she still held the glass firmly. “Days, Draven!” she burst out, her voice cracking as the words tore from her throat. Her chest rose and fell fast, and the glass in her

Draven's pov I took a slow drag from the lit cigar, hoping it would calm me down, but it only made things worse. The smoke burned my throat and filled my chest, making the anger inside me grow even stronger.“Fuck!” I shouted, my voice echoing through the study. My chest rose and fell too fast, each breath sharp and heavy, too wild for any man or wolf to control.I couldn’t go out for a walk or do anything at all. Every part of me felt weighed down with hate for myself. I had broken one of the few promises I ever made to Kaelis, and ever since then, I hadn’t stopped tearing myself apart over it.I had almost told her about Lucero… The thought hit me, and I let out a scoff. But instead of the usual wave of anger that came with it-- a small and bitter laugh slipped out.I walked over to the drawer by the wall. It held all the car keys I’d collected over the years. I grabbed the key to the Lambo, my fingers tightening around it, then hurried out without a second thought as I headed to
