Wrong Turn

Jennifer laughed maniacally at my words as she strolled down the stairs with a basket of eggs.

Soon after, some other she-wolves trooped in out of nowhere. All looking dangerous and spiteful. One of the she-wolves holding a basket of tomatoes scoffed at me and she looks so much like Jennifer.

Evie, on the other hand, remained fear-stricken in one corner, she keeps fiddling with her fingers and glancing at me every second. She had informed me of these two ladies' power issues in the pack.

Nobody dares to go against them and they derive joy in abusing their power.

“Vickie” The lady called Jennifer started.

“You won’t believe that this filthy woman with traitor's blood dared to dream of living under the same roof as our Alphas,” she said.

Vickie faked a surprised gesture as she raised her long fingers over her mouth with her eyes widened.

“That’s blasphemy! To have an Omega serving me is much better than having you serve me as your lady” she said pointing her fingers at me.

I don’t know why I’m finding this funny instead of feeling fearful of them.

The kick was painful but one thing is I repudiate faster than any normal wolf. I stood up and dust my dress clean.

“You are getting ahead of yourself bloody hoes! There’s no way in hell I will be serving you two” I said.

They all looked surprised to hear such things coming out of my mouth. Their faces held shock and embarrassment flushed them over.

“Seize her” Vickie ordered some of the she-wolves to get hold of me and they wasted no time in bringing me to my knees.

Evie was already crying where she was standing.

Jennifer moved forward with a scornful look, she raised her hand and smacked my face.

“How dare you say that to your future Luna?! Have you forgotten what the Alphas said about your fate? We can do anything we so want with you filthy slave” she said and I chuckled.

“You missed a part… you can do anything but you can’t kill me.” I said.

“How did this wench grow such wings? Do you want your fingers cut off or your tongue?!” Jennifer yelled at me.

“Get it over with okay? I have no reason to fear any one of you.” I added.

“Such confidence from a bloody traitor's daughter,” she said with undisguised contempt.

And that was it before I lost my cool. There’s nothing I can do in the matter of strength, there’s no way I could stand against them with years of training with their wolves when I have no experience and no wolf.

“You both are just frogs looking for somewhere cool to lay your slutty ass,” I said and another she-wolf kicked me to the ground.

“She spent most of her life among humans that’s why she’s uncultured” I hear Vickie say to Jennifer.

Jennifer crouched in front of me and said “I will take my time to plan your death. It’s a promise” she said.

Immediately after she left my side, they all started throwing eggs and rotten tomatoes at me. With three of the she-wolves holding me to the ground.

Some minutes later, they stopped throwing eggs at me and everywhere went silent. I could hear silent voices and footsteps coming from afar.

With my closed eyes, I feel the air hit my sticky face and the dreadful atmosphere waking my senses.

The twin Alphas… perhaps one of them is near.

They have that powerful aura always radiating off of them.

Finally, I hear him speak “What’s going on here?” He asked, his voice deep and edgy.

I grabbed a fistful of my dress to wipe my face to meet the face of the Alpha but then one of the she-wolves stepped out with a low bow.

“She was being disrespectful to the two great ladies, Alpha,” she said.

His gaze wandered back to me immediately.

The look in his eye was blank and unreadable and I thought he would consider hearing me out.

He crouched down before me with a smirk playing on his lips, his eyes twinkled with slight traces of mockery as he raised my face with his middle finger.

I shuddered under his gaze and touch, it was like he had my entire senses trapped under his gaze. The tension was getting to me once again. There’s no way it could have been his Alpha power as I have no wolf in me to obey the command.

My heart rammed against the wall of my chest as I continued to try and decipher the Alpha’s identity. For a whole week, I still can’t tell them apart.

They never showed their faces before me until the encounter with them this morning. Secretly hoping and prayed for the one week to come when I don’t have to be torn up by my once best friend's behavior towards me.

I searched his eyes for traces of what we shared but behind his enchanting gaze lies a bottomless hole ready to swallow me whole any moment from now.

And then his lips moved “Do anything to her but don’t kill her” he said.

My heart sank to the far bottom.

“Yes Alpha Aiden” the She-wolf replied and Jennifer stepped forward with a proud step, standing beside Aiden with a white piece of clothing stretched out to him from her.

Aiden laughed at my helplessness, his eyes still fixated on mine “What were you expecting traitor? He said squeezing my jaw in his strong fist.

It’s like my whole world went crumbling down with my expectations. It’s time to stop hoping for them to see me as the friend that we once were.

“I... I am not a traitor” I sobbed quietly as hot tears prickled my face.

“A traitor’s daughter is also a traitor!” He wasted no air in replying to me.

I bit my lips to swallow the painful lump in my throat even though the lump was hard to swallow.

“Hmm… and what do I have for you?” He said as he slowly returned to a nearby seat.

I saw him wipe his hand as if he had just touched the filthiest person.

The onlookers were soon summing up to a large crowd of supporters who wants everything to go wrong with my existence in their pack.

Taking a glance at the crowd, I realize Ruby is missing and right now I know that there’s no one to save me.

There’s no love for me in the twins' eyes.

My secret helper has abandoned me… perhaps I was tricked here to die in the first place.

Tricked and abandoned to waste.

“Sierra Hendrix of the late traitors Hendrix household… on behalf of my people and my brother, we have decided to end your freedom here in the pack.
