Chapter 14

*Piper's POV*

The door opened and Jaxon let himself inside. There was a look of concern as his hazel eyes fell onto me. "Are you okay?" He asked as he came closer.

I couldn't help the desire that began to fill within me the closer he got. The more time I spent here the more I found myself wanting him. The mate bond kept me feeling like I needed him. It didn't help that I was upset with Matteo, but I didn't want him just because of that.

"Piper?" He called out as I had yet to respond. Instead all I could do was stare at him. "What's going on?"

I shook my head to try to gain my focus back. "Um, I-I-." I stuttered out but couldn't actually seem to find any words.

"Matteo mind linked with you again, didn't he?" Jaxon guessed.

I nodded. "Yeah. Well I reached out to him." I confessed.
