*Piper's POV*

Matteo and I circled each other, baring our teeth as we waited for the other to make the first move. As we did the alpha of the rogues emerged which caused Jaxon to shift. More wolves joined us as the pack of rogues stood behind their leader.

There were a lot of them. How they had managed to accumulate so many is beyond me. There's no way all of them were exiled, some of them had to have chosen to be a part of this madness.

My eyes looked into Matteo's gray orbs. I was trying to read him, to see maybe where exactly his head was at. Unfortunately, he was blocking me out.
