LOGINLilith:
I held my breath as everything else around me seemed to disappear. All I could hear in my ears was a constant ringing and the fading sound of reality.
Kieran stood there, looking at me for what I could only guess to be around a whole minute. His eyes, glowing and reflecting my own reflection in them, showed how of a mess I was.
My hair ruffled up, my eyes wide with shock and a side of my mouth twitching from fear. Despite being under this monster, everything started to feel like it was okay. The fear started to subside as it crept closer, sniffing me on my face and around my shoulders. My breasts bobbed up and down from the deep breaths that I was taking at intervals, not wanting to piss him off.
I could hear Alpha Zander giving orders in the distance and without even looking, I knew that Ryder was somewhere cowered in fear behind his father.
My only worry was Seren. She was crazy enough to come running and try to attack this monster. Luckily for me and her, she didn't. After it was done sniffing me, it took a step back, allowing me room to sit up and probably stand. I moved cautiously and sat up, keeping my eyes peeled on its movement.
It was still baring its canines at me but watched me closely. My first thought was to get up and run for my life but that proved that it could've been the worst decision that I would have made.
If the beast in front of me nearly pounced on me again as I was about to get to my feet, wouldn't it have torn me apart if I tried making a run for it?
Judging from how fast it had closed in on me, with time to go through ten men like it was nothing, I wouldn't even have gotten the time to turn my back towards it before it strikes.
I remained seated, something that it might have preferred. With my back towards everyone, I could hear them call for me to run while others were trying to tell me what to do.
"Stab it in the eye and run,"
"Play dead. It'll leave you alone,"
Those were just but a few of what was being suggested. ' It's as if it can't hear you. It's not just a fucking wolf but also a human like you and me!' I snapped back at them, though internally.
I couldn't risk shouting with it so close to me. I got a better view of the aftermath of the men that tried to defend the pack.
Clasping my mouth in horror, I didn't want to imagine what it could do to me. Especially since it had killed all of them so swiftly and brutally like they were nothing.
'All those years of training for nothing,'
I murmured.
Just as things had died down, the sound of paws slamming on to the ground caught my attention. I laid down just in time for around three or five wolves jumped over me and were attacking the Exile.
That was my chance.
"Run!" Seren shouted at me bringing me back to reality fully.
I got to my feet as the fight ensued behind me. All I could hear was snarling, the sound of canines grazing each other as the wolves snapped their mouths at each other and even before I got far, I heard squeals and whimpers.
I was still quite the distance from the pack and just as I was contemplating whether to shift so that I cover the distance between me and them quickly, I picked up the sound of something flying through the air.
Whatever it was,it was big and it was moving fast. As I was about to trigger my shift, something hit me on the back sending me flying a few meters crashing and rolling on the ground.
Everything was hazy as I turned and groaned in pain. I had landed hard on my knee and it was hurting pretty bad.
As I was rolling on the ground, a shadow cast over my entire body. Trying to look up, it was Kieran once again, with the moon shining over him.
I wanted to run, I wanted to fight, but my body was exhausted and in pain. I was struggling and was slowly losing consciousness.
****
Waking up, the first thing that crossed my mind was: Why is the wind blowing on my face so harshly today?
I tried opening my eyes but everything was blurry. I could feel my body bouncing up and down, it was as if someone had tied a rope around me and was tugging at it.
I tried reaching around but all I got hold of was air.
Nothing!
Moving my feet, it quickly hit me that I wasn't on the ground. My face was looking down and the ground soon became clear but it was moving, no, I was the one moving.
And I was moving fast. I realized that I was being carried and when I looked to my side, I spotted two, black and furry feet that were running on the ground.
I looked at my surroundings and there were trees all over. That's when it all made sense.
Kieran was carrying me in his mouth and we were running through the forest.
In the distance, I could hear howls which seemed to be hot on Kieran's trail.
'Where is he taking me?' I questioned myself as I tried looking at him.
"Let me go!" I demanded, trying to pry his mouth open so that he drops me. No matter how much I tried, his canine's grip wasn't budging.
The running came to an abrupt stop as Kieran braked hard, nearly rolling over on the ground. He was growling and he didn't sound happy at all. Turning my head to look at him, his eyes were glued ahead and his growling was getting worse.
It was as if he had seen someone.
Seren's POVI didn't want to be left behind and miss out on such a great opportunity like that.If I did, I would have only myself to blame.Who knew that Lilith being friends with people as she grew up instead of being a stuck up jerk like Ryder would have someone willing to help me sneak out of the pack, despite the consequences that would result from it if it was known. So, I quickly packed two different outfits, a bottle of water, a compass, and the bear spray in my small backpack, that I swung on my back and tightened it around me.The search for Lilith meant that I would have to dig deep into my primal wolf side since I wasn't going to look for her in the city.No.She was somewhere inside the woods, and I knew that finding her was going to be next to impossible. However, I wasn't going to give up on her just because the odds were against me, for I knew that she wouldn't also do the same if she was in my shoes. If
Seren's POV"When are you leaving?" I asked them, knowing that if they had already thought it through, I would be stupid to let that chance go."We leave in an hour." Sophie answered. That was much sooner than I had expected them to be talking about. In my head, I was thinking about how I could have possibly have more time to think about a good plan on where I was going to look for Lilith. But with them expecting me to be out of the pack with them in less than an hour, it meant that I would have to come up with a plan on the move."An hour!" I exclaimed."We know it's sudden, but we also came to the consensus of bringing you along at the last possible second as well." Zack said."So, is that going to be a problem?" Malachi inquired.Slowly, I shook my head as I was thinking of how fast that opportunity had presented itself and how quick I needed to be if I was serious with finding Lilith."Which side of the border
Seren's POV"And how are the three of you going to do that?" I asked them. All three of them looked at each other for a couple of seconds, as if it was something that they had sat down and planned prior.Zack, who seemed to be the leader of the group, took a step forward and whispered,"We can't talk out here."I was still a bit skeptical about the help being offered. From the threat that Griffin had made sure that I wouldn't forget, I was assuming that he would be willing to throw me in a trap just so that he could put me in the dungeons. With Ryder obviously wanting to be the one to take all the credit of finding Lilith and bringing her back to the pack, I knew that it wouldn't bode well with him if I was the one to do it.The only problem with his plan was, it was taking too long and there was still one factor to be considered when it came to getting Lilith back. And that was, taking her from the Exiled Alpha.S
Seren's POVThe day was about to come to an end, and a lot had happened already. However, what stuck most out of the entire day's events were the words that Ryder had for Griffin,"If I can't have her, no one can!"He sounded so calm about it as he was telling it to one of the most dangerous men of the pack. But what bothered me most was how they were clearly talking in secret.I immediately started to think about how Ryder had been wanting to be crowned Alpha for so long and when the time had finally arrived, that opportunity got snatched right from his mouth.Well, he deserved that since he was also forcing Lilith to become his Luna, which meant that she was expected to be loyal, submissive and love him for the rest of his miserable life.Clearly she was never going to do any of that, and I guess that's why Kieran Blackwood chose that exact moment to attack. However, what I couldn't grasp was why Kieran would att
Lilith's POVKieran, who looked like he had been holding it for so long, finally walked up to the chair that I hadn't broken, and sat down.He leaned back, closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh.I never thought that I would ever live to see the day when I would be in the same room as Kieran Blackwood. And not only that, but I never also thought that I would ever see him hurt.Yet, both of those things had happened and they had done so in not more than weeks apart. From hearing about him like a myth around the pack members, to actually staying with him in the same cabin, and having the privilege of calling him my mate.Don't get me wrong, it's not like I adored the fact that Keiran and I were mated, hell no.I was still skeptical about how the hell that was ever going to work out.If anything, I had to be mated to the most vicious, ruthless, destructive and among many names, monster whose name was possibly banned from b
Lilith's POVThe tension that was in the room immediately vaporized as I stared at Kieran, standing in front of me with his shirt wide open.I was looking at his chest, and at least half of it looked like it had been burnt as there was a huge black mark that covered somewhere around the diaphragm to his collarbone. It wasn't just a huge black burn mark. On the sides, there looked to be streaks of what resembled lighting stretching to his back and down to his stomach. In short, as the burn mark faded from the edges, there were other marks that I could best describe that looked like someone had taken a picture of his veins, put them in black and white and traced then across his body. Some were so long that they even went to his back, and others over his collarbone to around his neck.'That is why he wore something loose.' I said to myself, looking at the marks that covered his body.I was shocked at how fresh the marks looked, and even
Lilith"Well, come on! Hurry up!" Seren whispered urgently, gesturing for me to move quietly and stay low. Her eyes darted around. I had no idea what she was so worked up about, but I followed her lead, my own heart starting to pick up its pace. She ducked behind an enormous, twisted tree, its root
Lilith:Two days had already passed. I was still getting married to that scumbag whether I liked it or not. In a matter of minutes, I'd have to kiss him. On the mouth?Just thinking about it made me retch, nearly vomiting all over the clothes I had on for the second wedding.I couldn't believe it,
Lilith:Standing there was Seren, in shock, the same shock that I was in but for different reasons.'This can't be heaven,' I said to myself as I realized that either this was my mind playing games with me or this was my afterlife. Perhaps it was my hell."You're up? You're up!" Seren said, the fi
Lilith:I turned my neck and tried looking into the direction that he was facing and that's when I saw it. He was looking over the edge of a huge trench that acted as the territory boundary for the Silverfang Pack. The trench stretched for miles and was around fifty feet wide. It was deep, around t
