"What is it?" I asked, not raising my head to look at Jared who had just walked into my office. "She's awake now" he said and I stiffened. "Fine. You can go now" I told him. As soon as he was out of my office, I leaned back on my seat and rubbed the back of my neck. Zeke had found Rylee passed out in front of the gates. He told me that she'd told him that she was heading out for a night walk.I didn't want to think about the fact that my words might've pushed her to do something as reckless as that. I let out a sharp exhale and rubbed my eyes as I pondered on how to fix the mess I'd created. My head was hurting and I was feeling cranky. This was not helping with the situation at hand.
