ALEXIS' POV

As soon as I get to work, Ms Bell hurries me back towards the door and a frown appears on my forehead as confusion takes over me.

"Go. Go. Go. You have to take a break." She says as she shoves me out of the door but I halt to my feet, refusing to budge anymore. I purse my lips and look at her in utmost oblivion and surprise.

"Why should I take a break."

"Because I said so." She lifts a brow at me.

"Are you firing me, Ms Bell?" I ask and a short moment or realization crosses her eyes followed by a small laugh as she shakes her head at me.

"No. Not at all. Come on, Alex. What are you saying?" She continues to laugh. "I am not firing you, girl."

Even though I feel a bit of relief now that the woman is not firing me like I feared she was, the frown on my face doesn't wear off. I am still taken aback by the idea that Ms Bell wants me to take a rest. The Ms Bell I know wouldn't care less if I turn out to become a chronic workaholic.
