Chapter 8

DONOVAN'S POV

As I eat on the cafeteria table with the rest of my friends, I cannot stop myself from glancing over at Alexis' direction where she is seated all alone by herself, eating her cheap free meal. It is no surprise to anyone in RedWood Academy why students like Alexis are not offered rich exquisite foods like the rest of us.

The answer is quite simple and obvious. They are scholarship students who were lucky enough to be accepted into the Academy. Our school is for high class kids and people like Alexis didn't quite fit in. And yet, I am quite impressed with how non-chalant Alexis is about the whole situation and never acted pathetic or sorry for herself. She did not even try to fit in and lick the asses of the elite kids for some sort of validation or acceptance like the other scholarship kids did.
