Rose’s POV

“Do not cry… it pains me to see tears in your eyes,” Kavian said softly, his thumbs brushing away the tears that had slipped down my cheeks. His touch was warm and tender, grounding me in the moment.

“Can I ask you something?” I murmured, my voice trembling slightly.

He nodded, eyes never leaving mine. “Sure. You can ask me anything.”

“Can you… please kiss me?”

A faint smile tugged at the corner of his lips. He cupped the back of my head, his palm steady and sure, and leaned in. When his lips met mine, everything else faded—the ache in my chest, the heaviness of our earlier words. The kiss was gentle at first, then deeper, his warmth seeping into me, calming my racing heart.

When we finally pulled apart, breathless, he rested his forehead against mine. “Never ask me for this again,” he whispered with a faint, teasing edge. “My lips and body are yours to take anytime, anywhere. Why would you beg for something I crave just as much?”

I blushed furiously, smiling shyly as he ch

Rose’s POV “What are you doing?” Kavian asked as he came closer, his deep voice pulling me out of my thoughts.“Mm… I’m looking for Laura. I don’t know where she slept,” I said distractedly, my mind still replaying the old lady’s strange words — sacrificial lamb. They lingered in my head like a whisper I couldn’t shake off, so much that I barely met Kavian’s eyes.“Laura slept in Shirin’s tent,” he said, then his gaze sharpened on me. “Is something wrong?”“Mm… that old lady—” I paused, then quickly waved it off. “Forget it, it’s nothing. Can you please take me to the tent?”He studied me for a moment, as if trying to read what I wasn’t saying, before nodding. “Alright, come with me.”He reached for my hand, and I slipped mine into his, resting it against his arm as we walked. His warmth was comforting, grounding me when my thoughts still felt clouded.“So,” he said after a pause, his tone casual but edged with something else. “How was your night?”The question made me glance up at h

Author’s POV“I… I—” Laura stuttered, her face flushed and her voice trembling slightly.“You don’t have to worry,” Arman said calmly, his tone laced with reassurance. “I’ll leave the place for you and go sleep with one of my brothers. I don’t think Shirin will be making use of his room anyway.” The last part came out with a faint teasing note—his subtle reference to Shirin and Rose still inside the tent, their sounds of passion faintly echoing through the camp.“Thank you,” Laura murmured, her voice soft, almost hesitant, and she followed him quietly to his tent.“Alright,” Arman said once they arrived. “Make yourself comfortable. See you in the morning.”He turned slightly, about to leave—but there was a silent war raging inside Laura. Her heart hammered against her chest, battling between guilt and the fire burning low in her stomach. It took him nearly walking out the door for her to finally speak.“Wait,” she said quickly.Arman paused and turned back to face her. “Do you need an

Kavian’s POV I looked around and noticed all my brothers were still inside—except for Shirin. That could only mean one thing: Shirin was the one with Rose.Immediately, a strange wave of jealousy washed over me. It was ridiculous—I knew it was—but it didn’t stop the heat rising in my chest. She was his mate too, our mate. I thought I had gotten past this… that the possessive, selfish side of me had died the night we all mated her together. But clearly, I hadn’t. Because before I even realized what I was doing, I was already heading toward her tent, every step faster than the last, as if she were in danger and not simply… with him.I hadn’t even reached the tent when I heard her moans—soft, breathless sounds that sent a sharp twist through my chest. My heart clenched painfully, and I froze for a second, torn between turning back and pushing forward. I already knew what I was about to see, and I knew it wasn’t something I wanted to witness. But something inside me—something raw and ugl

Rose’s POV “You are the Phoenix wolf?” their father—Alpha King Armon—asked, his voice deep and commanding.I nodded, my throat suddenly dry. “Yes,” I said softly, my voice barely carrying under the weight of his piercing gaze. His eyes flicked briefly to his sons, then returned to me, sharp and calculating. “You really are the Phoenix wolf,” he said again, but this time it wasn’t a question—it was a declaration.I tried to steady my breathing, forcing myself to stand tall before him. “Your sons—my mates—told me about your wife, their mother’s condition,” I said, keeping my tone respectful yet firm. “And I want you to know that I’m happy to help in whatever way I’m needed.”He stepped closer, his presence filling the space between us. When he spoke again, his words were directed at his sons, but his eyes never left mine. “When I was told you had a special gift for me, I wondered what it could be. Now I know.” A slow, almost reverent smile curved his lips. “You’ve given me the greatest

Rose’s POVLaura and I were settled into a tent prepared just for the two of us. The space was surprisingly warm and cozy, with thick rugs spread across the floor and a soft glow from a lantern swinging gently overhead.“Stay here for now. We’ll come get you when our father is ready to see you,” Kavian said, his tone calm but protective. “In the meantime, is there anything you’d like me to get for you?”“No—wait, yes,” I replied, hesitating as a thought tugged at me.He arched a brow. “Okay, go ahead.”I glanced around, noting the nearby guards and wandering eyes. “Not here,” I said quietly.Kavian studied me for a second, then nodded. I took his hand and led him a short distance away, behind one of the larger tents where we could have some privacy. The sounds of the camp faded slightly, replaced by the steady rustle of the wind.“So,” he said softly, “what is it you want to ask?”I took a slow breath. “Is there something you’d like to tell me?”His brows furrowed. “I thought you were

Rose’s POV“Hope you’ve taken your sweater?” my aunt asked in her usual hyper mood, practically buzzing with energy.“Yes,” I replied with a small laugh.“And your water flask?” she continued, her voice full of motherly fuss.I couldn’t help but smile. “Aunt, it’s just a visit, not like I’m traveling or relocating. I’ll probably be back by tomorrow.”“I’m sorry,” she said, clasping her hands together, eyes glistening. “I’m just so excited—and nervous—for you.”I smiled softly. “I guess I’m a little nervous for myself too, but I’m sure I’ll be fine.”“Of course you will,” she said, squeezing my hands reassuringly.Honestly, I was only going with my mates to meet their father, but my aunt was acting as if I’d just been wedded off and was leaving for my new home. She was almost in tears—happy tears, I think.Afterward, I went to greet my father. He gave me one of his trademark serious looks before softening with a sigh.“Are you sure you don’t want me to come along? Or at least assign yo
