Daughter of Adonis

Xavier led Diana into his room and closed the door shut.

His eyes took in Diana's shivering form and his strong demeanor diminished like a pierced balloon.

His wolf prowled in his chest, willing him to console their mate.

Xavier engulfed Diana in a comforting hug.

Diana rolled her eyes when Xavier hugged her.

Obviously he would be so worried stiff about her she scoffed, her eyes pulled down in a bored expression.

When Xavier pulled Diana back to stare at her face, the scared shivering look was back on her.

Xavier's face was pulled into a tight frown as he took in Diana's shaken and terrified self.

If only he had been there when the bastard driver had tried to kidnap his mate he could have torn him to bits and left his remains for the bats and rogues to feed on.

He moved in to hug Diana again but she shifted away.

"It wasn't ordinary Xavier," she sniffed.

"The person who wanted me dead, it wasn't a coincidence. It was planned, Xavier! I'm telling you." She dissolved into tears.
