After a little while, Sammy squeezed me gently, "You should get some proper rest," he said, sitting forward and pulling some of the pillows out from behind me. I heard the snaps and snarls and growls as those behind me shifted again, following, but falling silent as a very different kind of snarls sounded from either side of me.
