Luca put on a superhero movie he seemed particularly fond of, and grabbed a couple of throws, putting one across my lap before relaxing back next to me. Jess and Quentin came up not long after, both of them give us a quizzical look, "Wow, they actually let you out on your own?" Jess said, teasing. Luca frowned sightly at that, "They got called away, something urgent. Thane gave me pup sitting duty."He gave me a playful wink, but his comment seemed to make them both feel uncomfortable, "All three of them?" Quentin asked, sounding surprised, and Luca nodded. "Did they say..?" he started to continue, but stopped as Luca shook his head, "Nope, just not to let her out of my sight, for any reason," he said, making them frown at each other. "Well, three pairs of eyes are better than none," Jess said with a shrug, sitting herself on my other side and reclining her section of the couch back. "Right," Quentin agreed, turning around, "How about some drinks and popcorn then?" Luca grinned at hi
I woke up feeling just as disoriented and unable to move, but for different reasons, I quickly realised, feeling my wrists and ankles bound to some kind of frame. I tried to open my eyes, and found them covered, and made myself completely still again, listening. I couldn't hear anyone, and with any luck, perhaps my captors hadn't noticed me wake. Not that it could help me much right now, but surely it wouldn't hurt to have some element of surprise. I could feel the fog in my mind slowly beginning to lift, and wondered how long it would be before they dosed me again. Surely they wouldn't let me try to contact.. Thane! I suddenly remembered hearing his voice, after I was drugged, through the mindlink. I tried to link with him again now, but it was still too thick, and all I could feel was Lisbet, seething in the back of my mind. 'Do you know where we are?' I asked her, and felt her anger rise, 'No,' she said, her fury clear in her tone, 'Whatever they gave us was particularly nasty, a
I felt Lisbet beginning to pull hard at the cuffs and chains then, trying to break them, and I began to wonder if she'd lost it. 'You heard them,' I said to her quietly, within our mind, 'They're solid iron, even a Lycan couldn't break them.' She didn't stop though, and I could feel the pain in our ankles and wrists as she continued, 'It's a good thing we're no ordinary Lycan, then,' she answered as she gave another hard yank on the wrist chains. 'Stop, Lisbet!' I cried out, feeling the sharp pain more with each one, and tried to take control back, but she fought hard to keep it. She snarled suddenly, and a different kind of pain filled our shared body, through every bone as she began to turn. A long few moments of agony followed, added to by the hard metal digging into our flesh as it morphed into our wolf - no, Lycan form. That surprised me more than anything, as we turned into a huge, silvery-white furred beast, crouched in an upright position, and much larger than any wolf could
I leapt aside, terrified, and turned sharply, realising he'd leapt at Quentin behind me, the two of them now engaged in fierce battle. 'I'm right behind him little wolf,' Thane's voice said, and I felt a wave of relief as I heard another bike coming through the tunnel, but it was quickly diminished as I saw Finn get thrown across the ground, staggering slightly as he pushed himself to his feet again, blood dripping from deep claw wounds across his chest. Fury rose up inside me then, and as Quentin stretched up and howled, no doubt calling the others to his side, I dropped my things and launched myself at him. It took him by surprise as my jaw went straight for his armpit, my long canines penetrating deep, right where I knew I'd hit a vital nerve network, and potentially an artery. I clamped down hard, and he snarled loudly, using his whole body to try and shake me off violently. I released him just as quickly, letting him throw me several metres aside where I rolled quickly back ont
Thane reached over to squeeze my shoulder gently, as he saw the look on my face, then headed over towards Jess. She started screaming, "What the fuck are you doing?! Why aren't you helping him?!" sounding panicked and heartbroken. She tried pulling his arms up and hoisting him over her shoulder, but his the weight of his huge, limp body made her stumble. "Jess," Thane said softly, his voice full of sympathy, and she looked up, wiping her tears with the backs of her now-bloody hands. "Why aren't you helping him?" she asked helplessly, and Thane sighed, shaking his head. "He was involved, Jess," he said heavily, and she stared at him as though he had two heads, "Of course he was, that's why he's here, he obviously came after them.."She trailed off as Thane shook his head sadly, "What are you saying?" she asked, her voice sounding choked, "Did.. did you do this?" She glanced between Thane and Quentin, her eyes wide as she shook her head. "No.. you know he wouldn't do this, Thane, he co
The ride home was rough, with the adrenaline from the chase and subsequent fight well and truly gone, and the cold turning bitter as night began to fall. It didn't help any being half naked, with my legs exposed to the icy wind for all of the long ride home. By the time the bikes slowed and pulled into the garage, I felt frozen, numb, and trembling. I stumbled as I tried to dismount, and Finn caught me, steadying me before he dismounted too, taking my helmet. I only shivered more, trying to tug the hem down on the hoodie and wiggle my fingers to warm them, and they both looked at me with expressions of deep concern. Cole took the helmet from Finn, gesturing for his jacket and gloves too. "Let me put everything away and go and check in, get her upstairs and into a hot bath," Cole said, coming over and pulling me against him while Finn took his gear off. I snuggled into his warmth and he kissed me softly, resting his head and looking into my eyes, "Don't worry, little mate," he said s
I woke up a short while later, as I felt him lowering me into steamy hot water, and I blinked my eyes open, looking up and giving him a grateful smile. "Hey little wolf," he said quietly, as he settled me between his legs and pulled me back against his chest, "Is that better?" he asked, and I nodded, sighing softly as I felt the heat penetrating through my skin. "So much," I said softly, still feeling sleepy, "Thank you, Finn," I added, and he wrapped his arms tightly around me. "You're welcome, little wolf," he said, sinking a little lower in the water, until it reached my shoulders, and resting his own head back and closing his eyes. He seemed exhausted too, I realised, and I suddenly felt guilty. "I'm sorry for making you worry," I said quietly, "the last few days must have been horrible for you, not being able to find me." He lifted his head then, turning me around and frowning at me, "It's not your fault, little wolf," he said as he cupped my face gently, "You have no reason to
They watched me with amusement as I rolled up the bottoms of some drawstring-waisted pants that Finn had found me and tied the shirt to the side, trying to make them look like they at least somewhat fit. He threw me some warm socks too, and we headed down a moment later, greeted in the main hall with many relieved-looking smiles. We'd barely entered the kitchen when Maggie swept me up in a sudden, warm, tight hug. "Oh, dear, I'm so happy to see you back safely," she said with a huge smile, though she frowned a moment later, as she saw the marks all over my face. "Are you okay, my sweet? Have you seen Dorian?" Finn and Cole nodded, both smiling warmly at her, "Yeah, he just checked her over. Said we've gotta feed her," Cole said playfully, and she swatted him with her kitchen towel. "What do you feel like, dear?" she asked me, and I looked around at the busy kitchen, noticing smiles from a few of the Omegas too, who looked like they were working on dinner. "Uhm, what's for dinner?" I
