We left the pack compound and headed into the dense woods, I could feel small shivers going through my body. I was tense, and it was obvious why.

“Get a hold of yourself Kayden.” My wolf's voice ran through my mind, it had been a while since I heard him speak.

“I'm okay.” I responded stubbornly. I could hear a small growl, sounding like a sarcastic sound for. “I can't argue with you.”

The air was heavy and strong with the scent of pine and earth, the sounds of rustling leaves and distant wildlife echoing through the trees.
