I looked deep Into the woods with intensity to see if maybe I would spot something, or someone, but there was nothing. I sighed and turned around, the cool wind passed again and I felt the chill in my bones. “Maybe I'm going crazy.” I whispered under my breath, my voice barely above a whisper. I turned around and fixed my eyes on the mountains again. The thoughts of Amelia consumed me. I had imagined countless scenarios of Amelia returning to me, perhaps I was just overthinking, clinging to the hope that she was alive and still out there. Just then I heard the snap of another branch. My heart skipped a beat and instinctively, I turned around and my eyes began to glow, and without a conscious thought, my claws extended, Sharp and deadly from my fingers. “Show yourself.” I screamed, my voice echoing with power and authority, cutting through the silence of the woods.
