Mine

Reyna acted without thinking, her reaction was based on her instinct, Glen had her parents in his clutches and she couldn’t let Cain hurt him while he still held her parents in his hands, she was scared, anxious and nervous and when she got nervous she would act impulsively like right now. She only wanted to distract Cain but once her mouth landed on his, Cain pretty much took over. His mouth crushed against hers, Thalia gasped when he nipped on her bottom lip, once her lips parted he forcefully thrust his tongue inside her mouth sweeping against hers. The kiss was dominant and possessive just like him, he meshed his lips with her demanding the response he wanted from her.

Cain collared her throat possessively while the other skimmed down her side encircling her waist, Reyna didn't even know that she was itching toward his body planting herself against his solid chest. He was like a goddamn drug and she had no doubt about getting addicted to him, his warmth melted all her worries and she melted right in his arms like a puddle. Helplessly, she moaned against his mouth, she dig her nails into his back loving the sound of the deep growl that rumbled in his chest.

Cain hadn’t thought of taking things too far, he wasn’t the PDA type of guy, despite being a shifter he didn’t like anyone watching him in action. But then Reyna just had to throw herself in his arms, he knew that she did that to distract him from mauling Glenn and he just wanted to tease her a bit before stopping but -  hot dang, she was so responsive to his touches, it was like she was an instrument that he knew all the keys off, her soft whimpers and the scalding heat of her body seemed to be searing right into his skin lighting a fire that he didn’t even know he had in him. She was sweeter than his favourite orange popsicle, and he couldn’t help but revel her taste and her scent it was driving him crazy. It shouldn’t have been possible for someone as tiny as her to fit right into his arms but surprisingly she did, she was snuggled into his broad and burly physique like a missing piece that he might have lost long ago. Her soft body went pliant against his, and Cain wanted nothing more but to flip her on the ground and take her right here and now but the awareness of the nearby threat stopped him from doing so, he pulled back and looked down at Reyna, her eyes hazy and her lips swollen because of the kiss they just shared.

Then he looked at Glenn over Reyna’s shoulder, their gazes met and Cain smirked holding Glenn’s gaze he moved his hand from her throat and knotted her hair in his fingers, Glenn must have understood his intention because the pupils of his eyes dilated as his eyes widened in surprise and warning. The latter made a sudden move to stop Cain from doing what he was but the fight had already taken a toll on his body, his feet staggered after a few steps and if not for the enforcer standing next to him Glenn would have fallen on the ground, his fall didn’t deter him. Pushing away from the enforcer who was helping him up, Glenn straightened up “ Don’t you dare, Covington!”

Cain ignored him, he kissed Reyna and nibbled down her throat before settling on the juncture of her shoulder and neck where Glenn had marked her, hating the very sight of the mark, Cain scraped his teeth on her skin and bit down hard, he broke her healed skin and tasted blood, all the while holding the gaze of the enraged Glenn. He was warning Glenn not to try anything, Reyna was no longer his - she now belonged to him. He sucked on her skin, the patch where he has bitten her, no one can misunderstand his mark for anything else except what it was-a claiming.

A buzz of sensation zapped into her mind, she felt a sort of snap and then she felt herself connected to Cain’s pack link. She had felt the same thing when she had swore her loyalty to Glenn. She knew that it was done, she was his mate - she felt her connection that she shared with Glenn disappear and replacing it was a new connection that she shared with Cain. Her new Alpha and mate.

Glenn must have sensed the connection disappear too because a second later she heard a distant roar of fury that shook her to her extremities, startled she turned around to face Glenn whose eyes were glowing, his wolf was on the verge of surfacing again. Reyna inhaled a sharp breath then ignoring the acidic prickles on her skin she sucked in a breath and blew out a puff of glittery white mist, the mist wafted over to Glenn, surrounding him like a silver cocoon. She felt a burst of emotions, rage, betrayal and anger - mostly anger, Glenn was angry at losing her, this perfect pawn in his fucked up but a perfect world.

“ I knew it, I knew you will help me, Rey,” said Glenn an obsessive glint in his eyes, his eyes were no longer flashing wolf but it hardly made a difference, he was still the same, the same non-empathic, psychotic self. Reyna didn’t know what was going on in his sick head but she knew that if anything the bastard just levelled up another stage of being an emotional less crazy maniac “ I knew it. You feel something for me too, right? That’s why you stopped me right now. You are worried about my injuries -“

Reyna rolled her eyes, feeling her goosebumps tremble “ No Glenn, I stopped you because you still haven’t answered my question, where are my parents?”

“ Come with me and see them by yourself”

Reyna opened her mouth but Cain stopped her. He gripped her in a possessive hold and growled “ she isn’t going anywhere”

Their gazes collided, and sparks flew like clashing lightning.

Glenn straightened up to his full height despite the severe cut on his abdomen from which his guts were nearly hanging out “ then I think I will send Mr and Mrs Aniston to meet their maker, “ then turning to Reyna he grinned “ sorry Rey, you can only see your parents in hell now”
