Kael – POV

The walk to the pack hospital was quiet.

No one said a word.

Damian was in the lead, carrying her like something fragile. She didn't stir. Not even once. Just laid there—bloody, bruised, and barely breathing.

I kept pace behind him, my thoughts spinning.

I'd felt the bond hit. Deep. Low. Like it had wrapped around my spine and refused to let go.

Fated.

The word kept echoing in my skull like a threat.

I'd always believed in the bond. I just never thought I'd feel it for her. Whoever the hell she was. And definitely not at the same time as the others. That part still had me rattled.

The pack hospital came into view—lights glowing faint through the trees, nurses already waiting on the front steps. Damian didn't break stride. He marched straight through the double doors without so much as a glance back.

Lucas slipped in behind him, still too quiet for his usual cocky self. Even he felt the weight of this.
