At the airport, Eloise sat near the window, watching planes take off. Her phone buzzed again. This time it was Mandy.

“Mandy,” she answered.

“Boss? Are you okay?”

“I’m coming back. Meet me at the office tomorrow. I’ll hand over the contract.”

“So soon?” Mandy asked.

“No need to wait.”

Mandy paused for a second. “Pamela came by the office while you were gone. Said Richard’s sick. Asked if you’d donate.”

“I know,” Eloise said coldly.

“I just thought you should know.”

Eloise smiled faintly. “Thanks, Mandy. I mean it.”

She ended the call and stared out at the tarmac. The clouds were dark. The sky felt heavy. But for the first time in a long while, Eloise wasn’t afraid of the storm.

She was the storm now. And Pamela? She’d just been caught in the eye of it.

The city was soaked in a blanket of cold midnight rain as Eloise stepped out of the terminal. Her heels clicked against the pavement, echoing into the wet night like bullets. The taxi waiting at the curb was almost invisible t

  • Mated to her Enemy: Refusing his Rejection    Stupid Alpha.

Early in the morning...Jacob, now fully awake, called Eloise. “Start talking, what the hell exactly did he do to you?” Jacob's voice came through the line, rough and impatient. But Eloise didn’t answer. Not right away. She stood frozen, her fingers clenched tightly around the phone. Her entire body tensed up as her mind screamed for all the reasons she couldn’t say out loud. Her throat closed off.Jacob's voice came again, quieter this time. “Eloise? Because I know it’s not just that he licked your mouth in your sleep. So spill it out”Then she exploded. “Just fucking forget it, Jacob!” she shouted, her voice sharp like shattered glass. “Come take your damn Alpha today! I swear to god, I never want to see that bastard again!”Ainsley's voice broke in from behind her, desperate. “Eloise… if you don’t like me kissing you, I promise I won’t ever do it again. Please… don’t send me away.”Her hand started to shake. Her skull throbbed like someone was driving a spike through it. Her knees

  • Mated to her Enemy: Refusing his Rejection    Smacked!

Eloise sat on the edge of the bed, her spine rigid, her fists gripping the sheets like they might tear. Her eyes were hollow, bloodshot from yet another sleepless night. Her mind was a battlefield, scattered memories, lies, and a face that refused to leave her thoughts.Ainsley.The sound of the door creaking open was subtle, but to Eloise, it hit like a bomb in the silence. She didn’t flinch, didn’t turn, didn’t even blink. She already knew who it was. She could feel his presence as clearly as the weight pressing against her chest. That boy—no, that man, who had no right to be lingering in her space, yet somehow, here he was again. He stepped inside, barefoot, clutching that same ridiculous blanket she’d taken to the living room. He moved slowly, like he was approaching a wild animal; uncertain, wary, ready to bolt. And yet… he didn’t stop.Ainsley looked at her from across the room, searching for her reaction like it was oxygen. But she gave him none.No words, No glares, No rejecti

  • Mated to her Enemy: Refusing his Rejection    I'm Not Your son's Savior.

Outside, immediately after stepping out…..Eloise leaned back against the cold brick wall of the building, letting out a shaky breath. The night air slapped her face, sharp and bitter, but it was better than being inside. Her legs felt weak. Her arms wrapped around her chest as if shielding herself from the past that was clawing its way back. What if I could go back in time? She thought bitterly. What if I could choose again? She scoffed aloud, her phone buzzed. She looked at the screen and saw that it was a call from a strange number. She hesitated, almost rejected it. But her thumb slipped.“Why haven’t you been answering my calls?” Pamela’s shrill voice exploded from the speaker. "You blocked my number, didn’t you? That’s heartless! Richard has leukemia, Eloise! Are you really going to just stand by and let your brother die?”Eloise’s mouth parted in stunned silence. That voice, one she hadn’t heard in years, pierced through her like a jagged blade. It brought back memories of bein

  • Mated to her Enemy: Refusing his Rejection    Regrets, Maybe Pity.

Just as Eloise was about to disappear through the door, Jack caught up and suddenly pulled her into a tight hug. “Eloise,” he whispered, his voice hoarse and desperate, “don’t go like this.”Eloise froze in place, her arms limp at her sides, her lips pressed together tightly. She wasn’t used to anyone touching her anymore, especially not like this. Her body tensed, and her fingers curled into fists.“Let me go,” she muttered, her voice shaking with anger. But Jack didn’t loosen his grip. “Eloise, I know I’m probably the last person you want to see. I know I messed everything up... but I just….. Can’t pretend you don’t matter to me.”Eloise’s jaw clenched. “You’re confusing pity with affection.”“No,” he said, shaking his head against her shoulders. “No, I’m not. I used to think I wanted your love, but maybe all I ever needed was your forgiveness. I don't even know anymore.”She pushed against him hard. “Forgiveness, Awn! Really? Is that what this is about now?”Jack finally let her go

For the next week, Eloise vanished into her room like a ghost haunting her own life. She barely slept. Days and nights bled together as she drowned herself in the project, using it like armor to keep the world out. Papers scattered across every surface, coffee cups piled beside untouched meals, and the blue glow of her laptop lit the shadows under her eyes. She didn’t want rest—she wanted escape. Escape from the memories, from the quiet pain that crawled through her chest, and most of all, from him.Jack, however, became a constant in her silence. Sometimes, he knocked with lunch in hand, offering it with a casual, "Thought you might be starving in there." Other times, he sprawled on her couch, his phone in hand, whistling a tune, saying nothing but being present.Eloise grew used to him. His silence. His presence. She didn't mind him anymore.Mandy had stopped calling. Now, she only texted."Ainsley's doing fine. He's healthy and eating."Each day, Mandy sent a new message, and Elois

Jack glanced at Eloise. She quickly said, “No need, really. I can head back on my own.”Jack caught the flicker in her eyes, the way she needed to escape. He smiled gently and didn’t insist.“Of course,” he said.He turned to Eddy with a polite nod. “No gentleman lets a lady walk off alone though, right?”Then to Chris, he added smoothly, “Could your secretary do me a favor?”Eddy caught the hint and played along. “Chris, would you kindly see Eloise back in her room?”Chris bowed slightly. “Yes, Mr. Eddy.”Jack watched Eloise go, his expression unreadable again. Then he turned and lifted his glass toward Eddy with a smirk. The clinking of crystal glasses echoed faintly as the large reception room quieted down. Eloise and Chris had just left, their footsteps fading into the hallway, leaving only Eddy and Jack amidst the lingering warmth of expensive scotch and heavy silence.Eddy strolled to the bar counter with his usual elegance, casually pouring himself a glass of whiskey. He swirle

Eloise stood in the hallway, frozen. Her eyes locked on the floor, her hand resting on the doorframe as if her fingers were afraid to let go. Last night… The memory flared hot in her chest, a storm she couldn't escape. ‘I held his… oh moon goddess, what the hell is wrong with me?’She pressed her fingers into her temples. ‘It was a mistake. He was scared. It meant nothing. I was trying to help him since he forgot how to vent … that's all.’ But no matter how she spun it, her mind kept replaying the weight of him in her palm, the raw vulnerability in his eyes as he whispered her name. Heat prickled across her cheeks.‘Snap out of it, Eloise. He doesn’t even understand what happened.’She took a deep breath and stepped into the kitchen, her expression stiff. The sunlight poured across the counter, painting everything in golden light. Ainsley sat at the table, his knees tucked to his chest like a kid, his fingers tapping against his bowl. He looked up when he saw her, his bright eyes full

“Ainsley,” Eloise covered her eyes as if hiding her pain. “I’d rather be the one who lost my memories.”She hoped there was a reset button. If she pressed it, her life could restart from the beginning.“Eloise, don’t cry. It’s my fault. I was wrong.” Ainsley panicked.Eloise closed her eyes, tears streaming down her face. “You just don’t get it, do you? I’m tired of this.”She loathed Gary the most; he drained the company's capital and turned the Anthony Group into an empty shell.“Eloise, I was wrong.” Ainsley was bewildered and didn’t know what to do. He could only hug Eloise tightly. She didn’t push him off immediately.Eloise's lips curved into a mocking smile. Ainsley called her as if he were calling the love of his life.“Let me go.” After a long moment, she gently pushed Ainsley away from her warm embrace. “Ainsley, don’t take cold showers again.”Eloise spoke to Ainsley as if nothing had happened. Only she knew she still had unfinished business. That was the reason why she cou
