CHAPTER NINETY-NINE

TAYLOR'S POV

After he said that, I knew I had one goal tonight; to stay wide awake still day breaks. Zephyr was so not going to get me tangled up with him tonight.

I wiped the dishes clean and stacked them back into the cupboard above the sink then I went outside, finding a seat by the stone table. The cool night breeze would be perfect for staying awake or so I thought. Half an hour later, I was passed out on the table, dreaming of a nice cozy bed in a manor far away from Zephyr.

It was Zephyr's gentle touch that woke me. He whispered into my ear while I tried to open my eyes.

“You will catch a cold. Let's go inside.”

“I don't want to.” I muttered, stretching out my hands. “I'm staying right here.”

“Taylor, are you running from me?”

I looked at him. “Why would I do that? I'm just enjoying the moonshine.”

“Taylor.” His voice was stern all of a sudden.

“Mhmm.” I placed my head back on the stone table, my eyes fixed on him.
