TAYLOR’S POV

“I knew something was wrong immediately you turned around and began to run away from us. I figured immediately that you must have seen something but when I did see it too, I knew it was a trick to keep us from getting to the flower. Probably the fog of doubt. So I cashed after you. But you are quite fast, My Luna. I almost didn’t catch you. But I had decided I would be break your landing if I don’t catch you.”

I stared at the commander, with my swollen eyes, he was wrapping my broken leg and tending to the other wounds I had. He spoke calmly like what just happened wasn’t worth being worried about. I exasperated, suddenly feeling the urge to laugh out loud. He obviously has no idea what I had just been though.

“You will have to rest well before we start going my Luna.” He raised his head. “Rest your mind too. You know you have not asked me how I know about the fog of doubt.”

I furrowed my brow. ‘Was I supposed to?’

TAYLOR’S POVI leaped over a cracked tree branch, landing on rocking ground. The pebbles dug into my leg, I groaned, dragging myself out of the dirt floor. The fog was still coming. It couldn’t stop. I stumbled, shifting into my half wolf-form again. I ran on, tearing everything in my path.I tripped, I crashed into a few more branches and rocks. I ha d no idea where I was going. I just kept running. I could feel my body embracing the weakness. I had hit on obstacles so much that I was bleeding everywhere. But I still didn’t… I just couldn’t give up. I can’t get trapped in that fog. I leaped off the ground, swinging in the air and landing hard on the ground. My leg missed stepped and the sound of my ankle crack, filled my ears. My body could stay up, it crashed into the ground. I struggled painfully, scurrying on the sand, trying to get up with my broken leg. I couldn’t. The pain was too excruciating. I kept falling back down.I stopped. I couldn’t move anymore. I turned my head and

TAYLOR’S POV We walked for hours. It was sun up when we started but when we stopped, the sun had left the sky. I guess my mind was so occupied with the Mission that I didn’t notice time passing until the commander of the ghosts came up to me and pointed at the clouds. The darkness of the night, was approaching. We needed to find a place to rest now before daylight fleets completely. “You are right. Let’s focus on figuring out where exactly we can lay out head for the night. We continue tomorrow.”He nodded, turning around the next second. “Two people for firewood. Two for gathering thick leaves the Luna can sleep. Two for finding a place to lay down and throw remaining four will stay here and guard the Luna while I scout for incoming danger, if any.” I glanced behind me. The ghosts in black were moving. There was no argument, no hesitation, no shuffling; they broke into groups so smoothly and head out the very next second. I had never seen this kind of coordination. It’s a though

TAYLOR’S POV“Are we set?” I asked immediately I met up with the ghosts at the garden. There were four of them, just like I had specified.“Yes we have everything we need for the journey. We packed extras too, just like you instructed in the note. A boat is waiting at the lake not too far from here. It will take us at least four miles from here. That is a very good head start. We will continue on foot front there. The path to the frost mountains is dreaded by all. We will not find anyone along the way so we brought enough to keep us as we go back and forth.”I smiled, a breath of relief leaving my lips. I patted him on the back. “You have done well. Let’s go.” They bowed and picking up one bag each they handed me the lightest load we were carrying. They turned around and started walking I took one step forward. A sensation, out of no where, rippled through my skin. I froze, instantly. “Taylor.”My heart stopped. My breath seized. I knew it was him the instant I felt that sensation.

TAYLOR’S POVWhile Zephyr and I focused on the problems of the pack, and fishing out the rest of the witch’s men, Oscala tried everything he could to fix Daisy’s problem. Long story short, nothing worked. Instead they hurt her more then the poison was hurting her. Theodore was still not cold and Daisy was slowly drawing nearer and nearer to the day of labor. For some reason, the witch and all her activities were dormant. Somehow that was an opportunity, a chance to fix some things that wouldn’t be attended to again when we start fighting her. Do everyday that passed without anyone planning on how to get that Jasmine Flower, the more impatient I felt and the less my concern for everyone became.By the end of that month, I was done. Done waiting for Oscala to find a Solution. I was done caring about Zephyr’s feelings. Asides Theodore, no one else understood how much I loved Daisy. How much she meant to me. Before Zephyr ever learnt to live me, before I crushed on Oscala, before anythi

TAYLOR’S POVAfter he said that, a spell of silence fell on our lips. There was a sudden conscious realization that we would have to wait for some kind of miracle because we were really unable to do anything for her. I shut my eyes for a moment and sucked in a breath. I could feel the hopelessness creeping in like a freezing cold. I hugged myself, shivering all of a sudden.‘He is lying .’ I raised a brow immediately. That was Pandora’s voice. ‘What did you just say? He is lying, are you sure? Oscala doesn’t lie. He can’t.’ I reacted to her words in my mind. I heard her scoff loudly, she sounded like she thought I was the stupidest person in the world because I thought so.‘You are so gullible and so dumb, Taylor’ she finally said her feelings out loud. I frown physically, forgetting I was around people who couldn’t hear Pandora’s voice. ‘He seems incapable of lying but he damn as hell does it pretty well. He is thinks doing you a favor by lying. If you really want to get the truth
