Chapter Thirty Four

“I can't believe this is happening.” The words escaped my lips in a whisper, filled with wonder and disbelief. The idea of having a family member, especially a sibling, was something I had never dared to imagine. I had only ever had myself; even when Jasmine came to me the first time, I couldn't believe it. I was lucky, and I knew it.

As the carriage pulled up to the grand entrance of the royal castle, I couldn't help but feel a nervous energy. The prospect of meeting my brother, of finally having a piece of my past and my heritage come to light,

“Eliza, please. Don't worry. Everyone here is extremely friendly, and you will be looked after. Nobody will bring any harm or problems to you.” The King insisted as he placed a hand on my arm. It was as if he had read my mind.

“Thank you, your highness.” I bowed my head, causing him to chuckle and shake his head. “You don't need to address me as King. I am your father and would prefer to be called that if you would like.”
