Aphrodite

Who was I kidding? Asher was dead serious about the guards. I thought he was bluffing and just being paranoid about my safety, but as always, I was wrong.

It had been almost two weeks since the incident, and I had been cooped up in the mansion ever since. The goddess knew if I didn't get out soon, I was going to lose my damn mind.

Asher was working tirelessly to find a way to free Brielle from that psychopath, but with little to no leads, there was nothing he or anyone else could do. I had tried to contact Elijah, but it seemed he didn’t want to be found or contacted.

Today was like any other uneventful day. I was sitting at the window sill, a book I’d been reading for days by my side, while I stared out the window, lost in my thoughts.

The sound of my cellphone ringing snapped me out of my reverie. I glanced at the screen and narrowed my eyes at the unfamiliar number flashing. Could it possibly be Elijah? After all this time? I quickly answered and held the phone to my ear

  • Mated to the Devil Alpha    Bonus Chapter

It was a bright, sunny day, with birds chirping happily in the trees, as if they too were celebrating Princess Celeste's tenth birthday. The garden was adorned with bright colours, and tables were filled with sweets and appetizers. The party was in full swing—children ran around laughing, and their parents mingled, chatting cheerfully.Aphrodite had just finished greeting the latest guests when she noticed something odd: the birthday girl herself was missing. With a sigh, she turned away from the crowd, wondering what mischief her little rascal might be up to."Your Highness!" a soft voice called out. Aphrodite turned to see Hilda standing arm-in-arm with Alpha Sebastian, both of them beaming.“Luna Hilda, Alpha Sebastian,” Aphrodite greeted them warmly, returning their friendly smiles.“I’m so glad you both could make it,” she added, tucking a strand of her golden locs behind her ear.“Of course, we wouldn’t miss it for the world,” Alpha Sebastian replied, throwing a brief but loving

  • Mated to the Devil Alpha    Epilogue

Aphrodite’s eyes fluttered open slowly, her vision blurry at first as she blinked several times, struggling to focus. Gradually, she recognised the familiar surroundings of her and Asher’s bedroom. She was in their bed, staring blankly at the ceiling.A low moan escaped her lips as a deep ache settled in her chest—a hollow emptiness that felt like someone had carved out a piece of her soul. The pain was so profound that she wanted to scream, to let out the agony that threatened to consume her, but her body was too weak to move. Even screaming seemed impossible.Tears began to trickle from the corners of her eyes, trailing down her temples and soaking the pillow beneath her head. She knew, deep down, what this emptiness meant, but she couldn’t admit it—not out loud. Saying it would make it real would make it her truth, and she wasn’t sure she could bear that reality. She wasn't sure she could bear to leave with the loss of the other half of herself. The sound of the door opening did no

Asher My wolf tore through a halfling’s neck, its flesh and blood splattering across my snout. I looked around the battlefield, which was now littered with dismembered bodies, but Elijah was nowhere to be found.I growled low, prowling around the corpses, searching for any sign of that bastard, but he was nowhere to be found.“That was the last of them, my king,” General Jurgen said, coming to stand beside me. I nodded in response, still scanning the area. I watched my warriors prod each body, checking for survivors.“Burn the bodies,” I ordered. The warriors bowed in acknowledgement and began stacking the corpses. Turning away, I focused my attention on the trees, listening intently for any sound beyond the battlefield. It didn’t make sense. Elijah wouldn’t have sacrificed so many of his halflings without a greater plan in motion. It hit me then—I hadn’t heard from George since we parted ways. I hadn’t seen him either. I tried reaching him through the pack’s mind link, but there was

George barged into Asher's office, his eyes wide with alarm. Asher immediately rose from his seat, sensing that something was wrong.“What’s going on?” Asher asked, his brow furrowing as he waited for George’s response.“They’re here,” George growled, and Asher wasted no time. He grabbed his keys off the desk and rounded toward the door, with George falling into step beside him.“How large is the bastard’s army?” Asher asked, his voice steady but laced with tension.“I can’t say for sure, but it’s probably less than a thousand. They haven’t breached the perimeter yet, but we need more men on the ground,” George replied, his frown deepening.Asher nodded slowly, calculating his next move. “Get General Jurgen on the phone. Tell him it’s time.”George gave a quick nod before Asher’s next question came out, more urgent this time. “Where’s my mate and Lara? I know they had a meeting scheduled this afternoon with a potential client, but I haven’t heard from them since.” Asher questioned, hi

Several Hours EarlierAs soon as Elijah stormed into his makeshift lab, his anger boiled hotter than lava. With one violent swipe, he sent everything on his desk crashing to the floor, glass beakers shattering into tiny pieces. The sound did nothing to quell the fury raging inside him. His chest heaved, fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles had turned white.“Fuck!!” he roared, tugging at the roots of his hair, feeling the sting of self-directed frustration. He had messed up. Badly. He should have known better. Should have anticipated that Asher—the bastard—would never risk Aphrodite for anything or anyone. It had been obvious, yet Elijah had walked straight into their trap. He chuckled bitterly at his own foolishness, realising how easily he'd been outmanoeuvred. Now he was sure that Brielle had likely spilled her guts out on everything she knew about his operation while he held her hostage. Asher must know who he truly was by now, and it was only a matter of time before he was

Aphrodite "Did my husband put you up to this?" I asked, narrowing my eyes in suspicion. I knew Asher was perfectly capable of orchestrating something like this. Sebastian’s eyes widened at that while he quickly shook his head in denial."Of course not, my queen. I’m here of my own volition," he assured me. I still wasn’t convinced but remained silent."So, why now? Why apologise all of a sudden? Is there a reason you decided to apologise now?" I asked, tilting my head slightly, my hand resting on my bump for support. He sighed deeply."I was foolish, and I realise that now," he admitted. "When I saw the way you spoke during the meeting and how confident and strategic you were, I felt... threatened. It unsettled me that a She-wolf had a better grasp on war tactics than I did. But I know better now," he confessed, his voice tinged with regret. and I stared up at him in silent surprise. His admission surprised me. It took a man who was secure in himself and masculinity to acknowledge hi
