I walk silently beside him, his hand latched in an iron grip on my arm making it ache and I know by morning there will be a bruise. “You’re so slow,” he hisses. I tilt my head up, scowling at him, “well I am barefoot and walking in a skin tight dress, I wasn’t exactly expecting to get kidnapped was I?” I snap back. He shakes his head and glares down at me, “once we get out of the tunnels we’ll get you out of this dress.” We continue along the path and I notice that not once has Gabriel looked at the map that Karlile gave him. It remains tucked into the back pocket of his jeans. Yet he still seems to know exactly where he is going. It surprises me as I don’t even know all the secret passages and this is my home. We continue the silence and after a few more turns the night sky finally reappears above us.

“Follow my steps exactly,” he whispers. He’s agile like a cat, slinking along the shadows and I do my best to keep up. Willow’s fate is riding on this and I know that Azrael won’t be a

  • Mated to the Devil, becoming the fae Luna   Gabriel

Hushed voices are speaking when I wake again. The young girl from before is back and she comes over and helps me sit up, placing a cool pillow behind my back as I lay against the bed. My back feels much better than before but is still sore. There are two other wolves in the room aside from the girl and I. One looks like an older version of the young one at my side and the other I can only imagine is the Alpha based on his presence. His anger is evident as it comes off him in waves as he struggles to control his aura. The woman I’m assuming is his Luna is just angry as her brown eyes bore into me and if looks could kill I would be dead. “Alpha and Luna I presume?” my voice cracking slightly. My throat feels like sandpaper and I’m handed a glass of water by the young girl. The Alpha’s jaw locks angrily and he nods, “I am Alpha Kane and this is my Luna Cynthia. You will address us as such.” I swallow the water and nod. “Leave us Kylie.” The Luna nods to her sister. Kylie bows to them

Blinking my eyes open, I notice I’ve been washed up onto a river bank. It’s night out so I must have drifted and been out for a long while. Shifting I try to pull myself to a seated position, when a searing pain shoots across my back. Biting my lip until I taste blood to not cry out in pain after what feels like forever I’m finally able to drag myself to a seated positon, carefully resting my back against one of the very large trees in the grove. I don’t get long to relax before I hear a slight rustling behind me. So soft that even a pair of unstrained ears wouldn’t be able to detect it. Three sets of four paws start closing in, wolves. I close my eyes and let out a deep sigh. “No use trying to sneak up on me. I already know you are there.”It takes a moment but I hear the cracking of bones popping back into place, meaning at least one of them has shifted back into their human form. “What are you doing here young hunter? You are trespassing on pack territory.” I crack open an eye to

I hide my smirk behind my teacup as Dre hurls his glass across the room letting out an angry roar as it shatters against the wall. It was the fourth hunter Dre had brought in this week and instead of looking terrified like the other three, this one carried the similar air of indifference that Gabriel carried. As soon as Dre discovered that he wasn’t able to use the talisman himself, he went on a rampage throughout the house, yelling at everyone to bring him any hunter they could find. So the witch hunt for the hunters began. The other three we saw this week trembled in fear at Dre’s presence, obviously younger and weaker hunters, and had no idea what the talisman even was. The fourth however was different. Dre was already pissed off at him for not addressing him as Alpha.“So you know what this is?!” Dre shouts at him, holding Gabriel’s talisman up for the hunter to see.He just rolls his eyes, as if that was the stupidest question he could have possibly asked, “Now now no need to sho

“What is it you brought me out here to talk about Dre?” I say, picking up a rock and throwing it into the river. I feel him tense at the blatant disrespect that I was giving him. It was late, the moon was out and we were deep into the forest surrounding the pack. I had a feeling that he would get suspicious of me soon and try something. He thought he had everything planned out and no longer needed me in the picture now that he had seen the reaper. Little did he know that that wasn’t the case. In my heart I was starting to see that not all of the supernatural beings were bad, but the ice that surrounded it wasn’t completely thawed. Tink was helping me see otherwise. I regret my choice of taking her away, while I still despised most of them. I had chosen to align myself with the exact type of people that caused my parents death. The hardest thing was feeling like I was betraying my parents by feeling any sort of sympathy towards her. I’m a hunter, I kill all the things that are not hum

I follow behind him, thinking about what he just said to me. Was the ever so cold and callous hunter having remorse? I don’t know what changed within him but instead of feeling relief I felt a sense of unease. He was always so careful and kept his feelings neutral. Never letting anyone know what he was feeling or thinking. Sadly I didn’t have much time to think about it because the next morning when I woke I opened the door to my prison to find his door across the hall wide open. Something was wrong. Carefully stepping inside it was a mess. Clothes thrown about, a lamp shattered where it was knocked off the nightstand, someone was looking for something. Glancing around I notice a folded up piece of paper, shoved under the bed. Bending down I pick it up. My ears twitch as footsteps hurry down the fall towards me. I quickly shove the paper down my bra and stand up. Keeping my back to the door as the footsteps make it to the doorway. I don’t need to turn around to know that it’s Dre st

The next few days proceeded the same. I spend most of them locked up in this ridiculous room only being taken out for meals or if Dre wants to torment me further with all of his absurd future plans to make me his mate. On occasion Gabriel was allowed to chaperone me in the interior gardens. The only safe place I have is my bathroom, so whenever I can I go there to work on harnessing my powers but I try not to spend too much time there so as to not arouse suspicion. I haven’t been visited by Nikolai since the first night and my heart hurts with what he’s going through. I don’t know him well but I’m sure watching the people you have been tasked with to protect die and the only thing you can do about it is to destroy a sacred bond is taking its toll. I can’t imagine the amount of devastation that would come to our world if he was forced to succeed in that task. Gabriel has slowly been opening up to me. He is tasked with watching me when my other guards are, predisposed. There is somethi
