Maya
Javier settled me on the bed, as we continued the make out session. My thighs were assembled around him, clinging to him as if my life depended on it.
I could feel a certain heat and fire in me. Wasn’t even sure I could control myself, which was a bit unusual.
“You’re in heat.” he murmured.
I sighed the minute his hands disconnected with my body. Javier rolled away, standing up from the bed.
“W-What is heat?” I chewed on my lips, asking him. His eyes scanned me interestingly before he paced to and fro, as if he didn’t know where to begin from.
“What is heat?” I asked again, wondering why he was acting strange.
“For every vampire, heat turns up when you’re newly bitten. It happens to every female and male and only your companera can quench it. That’s what you’re experiencing now…”
“What is companera?” My words were clear, yet, desperate.
Javier leaned on the bed post, purposely avoiding any limited space with me. I liked his distance but my skin hated it, my body wanted him closer and it frightened me.
“Soulmate to a vampire royal blood. For normal vampires, not seeing or touching your companera is bearable. For royals however, it can be torture.” he explained, demonstrating with his hands. “In heat, it could be so much worse…”
I bit my lips, clenching my fists to prevent me from doing anything stupid.
“Especially when you bite your lips like that.” Javier’s eyes dilated into a pure black, with strings of darkened veins at the underneath. “Your scent becomes much more attractive, desirable, you are tempted to want to fuck the shit out of your companera.”
I crawled a bit away from him, feeling on guard instantly.
“Get.Out.”
“Why?” he smirked, narrowing his dark eyes. “Don’t you trust me enough, not to break my promise?”
There was something about the way he looked at me. It was just like Javier was becoming strikingly handsome than before. His biceps outlined a bit from his black shirt, which embraced his chest muscles. His lips were a lush shade, almost like it was calling out to me.
Why didn’t I notice this then?
“I.Don’t.Trust.Me.”
My embarrassed face definitely tinted, in tune with my cheeks from the tingles I felt. I tightened my hands more, only to be propelled forward towards him. CLASP! I took a hold of the beginning of the poor bed post.
A low guttural tone of laughter, followed suite. I widened my eyes, with trickles of sweat on my forehead at Javier, aware he was currently mocking me.
“Oh sugar, we could just end this here…all this rebel and I finally take you.” he whispered, earning a pang in my heart.
“But I’m certainly not taking advantage of you in this state. If anything, your desire should be real and not bond triggered.”
While I glared at him, his hands patted my hair softly. I clenched my teeth, sighing irritably as he majestically walked out the door.
“I hate you!!”
Tears flickered my eyelids at everything that just happened. My sensitivity these days was greatly appalling…
…
There would be a grand dinner tonight.
Javier said we won’t attend though. He was currently learning about 21st century and has been busy figuring how the vampiric royal policies work now.
“Hey, friend.”
Delilah was worried about me. She had brought this news, but I didn’t even acknowledge her. I had been mute, after Javier left. Maybe it was shock…
Maybe I was just tired of it all…
“Maya, talk to me.” she said. Those days when she did this, I held her in my hands out of insecurity. Delilah was always my number one since my parents passed.
“I want to cry so hard.”
I said to her, in thoughts though, hoping she’d hear like how she did to me. At my words, she leaned in. We were both sitted on my bed.
“Here, my shoulder is here, Maya. It’ll always be.” she murmured.
Her hands reached pulling me into her arms. At Delilah’s warmth, I begun to cry so intensely. It wasn’t a cry of normalcy, instead one of those ones where you let it all out. The sounds can be heard by anyone around, but you don’t care.
“I don’t know what to do.” I told her. “I wanted to see my parents but then it got complicated. Now…”
Her hands swooshed my head, cutting my words.
“You’ll figure it all out, friend.” Her words sounded re-assuring. It was overall sweet. But then, why did I still feel terrible?
“Figuring it seems hard. Everyone except you and Javier, are my enemies. I just wanted my parents.”
My mind lurked to Julian, as I thought of the events. Did he go back?? Was he still with Garza? The uncertainty of this made me feel terrible.
“I’m sorry, friend.” she suddenly breathed out. “I shouldn’t have used you for my own personal benefit. I shouldn’t have used you to be a whole vampire again.”
My heart thudded faintly on what kind of creature she was. I untangled my hands around her, looking into her eye.
“I’m happy you became real.” Having a doll come to life was creepy but not with her. “Please don’t blame yourself for leading me to this.”
She only advised me. I used my hands to open that box myself…
I yawned, suddenly feeling the urge to sleep. “Go to rest now, Maya. You seem tired and worn out.”
Did I? After the contact with Javier’s father, not been worn out would be an understatement.
“Okay.”
As I replied her, I stood up walking to bed. I collapsed on it with my hands spread out. I heard Delilah walk to the door. “The banquet is tomorrow, do prepare your mind and body for it.”
She closed the door behind her. I could feel my heart racing at the mention of the banquet. A feast full of vampires? What nightmare was worse than that…

Javier As I walked away from Maya’s room, someone paced behind me. I pretended not to notice and then when I felt the presence again, my dark reflex was the first to act. The person got pinned on the wall, in a millisecond with my fangs out. As my face connected with my previous lover, Scarlett, my eyes bolted at her. “Scarlett?” I snarled unbelievably. How was she here, alive? Didn’t she die in the rebel? “Still as dangerously wild as always…” she whispered, drawing nearer and nudging her nose with mine. I moved away. “That’s what I like about you, Javier.” I studied her features, which were still intact. Almond brown eyes, brunette hair and a robust figure. I could see her breasts pump from her outfit, which was a raven black long dress with a corset. It looked like she was in the 18th century. “Come with me.” I said, pulling her hands along. I had some questions for her. Judging from her outfit, she had just woken up from a box too. As I slammed my room’s door shut, Scarlett
Maya “My Princess…” My eyes flew open, at that voice. “Wake up, we are here to deliver your clothes and accessories.” I stared at the maid in front of me. From her smell, she was a vampire, however, she directed her face to the ground. It was more like she was afraid of something. “W-what?” “Where is Delilah and Raven?” Since they were the people that led this entire thing, weren’t they supposed to be here at least? “They are helping Queen Zoraida with the banquet arrangements. Please come freshen up and check your clothes.” she stated. “We arranged it already for you, in the closet. The light is also fixed.” At her words, I jumped up excitedly. Hell knows I didn’t come here for this, but what girl didn’t want this? In my purple tank top and lemon SpongeBob shorts, I walked rapidly towards the closet. I heard the maid snap her hands— about 7 other maids rushed in. “Wow,” I said, eyeing the renovated closet. Everything was in a transparent glass, like a fashion design shop wou
Maya I kicked my legs quick, faster, more rapidly. I did it till I was gasping and just when I went out of breath, I collapsed on the floor with a glare at Delilah. “Why did you stop?” I cleaned the sweat off my forehead, with a frown. “Why am I even doing this? I mean, I came here for something entirely different.” “Thought we went over this, Maya.” She drew nearer, bending down with a pat on my back. “Nobody’s your friend here. While you wait, the best form of attack, might be defense.” Her words sounded meaningful. Whenever I remembered how I was compelled to marry Javier, however, it fumed me. “I-um, have to go.” I murmured, standing up and walking out hurriedly, pacing my footsteps. “Maya!” she called after me. “Maya, wait!!” I groaned when her hands brushed my shoulders, the minute I was outside. “What??” She stared at me astonishingly, “You can’t give up, yet. We’ve barely begun anything.” “Why do we have to begin anything? I didn’t fucking ask for this.” I seethed at
Javier She’s not leaving me. Hell damnation, she just isn’t. Even if she wanted to, our bond won’t make her to. It won’t allow any of us to live with it. Not telling her that though… She was going to learn… “Is that everything?” I arched my brow asking her. Delilah went for shopping with Claudia and didn’t even know about my companera leaving. She’d be so disappointed on finding out. “Yeah, I um, returned the stuff you bought except the undies… I guess.” Maya replied. Her face seemed shy from the mention of that, cheeks reddening. It was really cute. “I don’t mind, they’re your stuff now. The princess is entitled to a myriad of luxuries,” “That’s nice, but I’m not that anymore, am I? This union was fake…” she stated, with half a chuckle. “…we should get going, Javier.” “I’m not taking you, snowflake. I’m still in the process of learning how to drive well.” I smirked at her, saying. “Ambroz is.” I helped her lift the little bag, watching her startled expression. “Oh…” she trai
Javier “There’s no way you’re allowing your companera walk that forest alone, is there?” “Nope.” I answered Ambroz immediately. “It’s too dangerous. She wouldn’t have understood if I told her that.” I took some of my stuff from the car. It included a blood bag, my wallet and phone. There was no way I was going to feed my mate to the wolves…. … Maya Coos, clicks… There were croaking sounds of ravens and crows in the sky. It could be creepy for a first timer, but certainly not for me. I’ve been used to this for a long while… Have traveled on foot alone, growing up. “This isn’t a big deal, dammit.” I snorted out, muttering to myself. A gentle breeze blew and so could I hear the rustles as I moved. I couldn’t wait to meet Julian. I had so much to tell him! Of course, apologizing was the first on my list, for not coming back… Goodness knows how he must have been worried. “Breathe in, Maya.” I told myself, with an intent to use my vampiric speed to my advantage. “Out…in, let’s
Maya *Back to reality* … I woke up on shore after surprisingly blacking out. My clothes were tattered and torn, barely hanging on my body. Luckily, my sunlight pendant was still on my neck. Yet, I felt nauseous, my heart ached for something. I let out a cough, gasping out water which definitely entered my system after almost drowning to my death. “Damnation…” I trailed, after I realized I had gone off my path. I didn’t even know where this route led to. It was the other side, of the waterfall. More like the end… My eyes widened at the realization that the wolves might come searching for me on this side. “Fuck!” I hissed, standing up and dusting the sane parts of my clothes that could be dusted. Where was Javier and Ambroz? “Maya…” A voice seeped into my head, from the waters. I looked down, watching it crawl to where I stood. It was slippery, blue and natural looking. “What…do you want from me?” I gasped, holding my throat. It seemed like I was choking. Tears formed in my e
Maya “Get out.” She seethed at Julian who held a resistant look. “D-do I have to?” “I said get out!!” she shrieked angrily, demonstrating with her stick. I watched Julian drop the napkin in his hands, scurrying out like Senora Savannah had asked. At the slam of the door shut, I straightened my back stretching and yawning widely. “You’re still with this stupid rebellious behavior,” She strolled towards me, before stamping her foot in assertiveness. “I should have isolated you since you were a child. You just seem to disrupt everything here, breaking rules, thinking that makes a statement but it doesn’t.” I looked at her, then up at the ceiling, wondering what this old woman was all about. Her face was stern, filled with hate and disgust at me. “We never did get along,” I muttered. “What?!” She moved nearer, raising his stick. “How dare you talk back at me you mannerless—” “Aish…that’s enough!” I replied just as she hit me with her walking stick. On her face was a startled expre
Javier I started losing my senses few fucking seconds after I returned Maya to her district. It was safer for her there, but my darkness got pissed. I hated the fact that I couldn’t tease her like before, or even piss her off… The most annoying damn thing that followed this, was the threat sent to my breakfast table by an unknown person. “What is this?!!” I yelled, with my nose flaring in anger at who dared to put garlic in my bloody food. “Who.Did.This.” About three servants rushed inside my room, and I threw the spoon at them. They dodged it instantly, trembling on their spots. “Who prepared this food?” I snarled, baring my fangs. “Forgive me, my Prince. I deserve to be punished whole fully for this!” The head servant bowed at me, stretching his hands on the floor. “Forgive us, Your Highness!! This is all our fault!!” The remaining two trembled on their spots, shivering as my darkness surrounded the room. Vibrations riveted through, as the entire room begun to darken. I knew
