CHAPTER 66 – TERROR

-SIANNA'S POV*

The pounding of my head greeted me as I forced my eyes open in the bright room. My throat feels sore, my limbs ache, and my heart smoldering. Confused and in turbulence from the severe pain in my body, I can't move.

"Vance" My calls are empty, and I can't feel him.

I am lost, sad, and wrought with fear. Petrified that the world had disappeared and left me alone. In my bones, every joint ached and I knew that Vance was in trouble. I can't seem to mind-link anyone. My numb soul left me in a bottomless pit of terror. Whatever was happening was disastrous. My love would never leave me, and the more I consider how hurt he might be, the worse my headache got.

It's an excruciating pain accompanied by a force that pins me down. I feel like I am falling even though I am still lying in bed. Alone, and at home, I feel deserted. Thinking of contacting Blayne or Duke, I try both but my mind-link failed consistently. Something is wrong, what's going on?
