ANMELDEN
The girl looking at me in the mirror was troubled. She was a warrior, not a fucking princess. They did not train her to sit behind a desk and plan parties, but her old fashion mate believed she needed to be. Piercy was technically 25 years old. Even though he looked closer to 30, his shaggy blonde hair and very square jaw stirred something on me I kept pushed down. Every day I dreamed of his tatted fingers entering my body. Catching that itch that I can’t do myself. I couldn’t give in. I couldn’t be the luna he wanted, and that destroyed me.
Still, I laid down my rules if he wanted me to follow him to his pack. First one, get Maddox and Cade to trust him. He wasn’t an Allie of either of them, so I was immediately skeptical. Second, he had to be okay with me fighting. Third, Tatum needed to approve. Piercy said he won’t let females fight. After everything we been through with Tatum, he still told me he didn’t know he could allow it.
Knock! Knock!
Fuck, if this was Piercy again, I was going to lose it. Ripping the door open, I was ready to let him have it.
“Cade?”
“Can we talk?” He raised an eyebrow at my attitude.
“I mean, you are the alpha.” I said as I stepped aside, it was fun watching his eyes roll as he walked in.
“Attitude, Brett.” He growled, but it never bothered me.
Shutting the door, Cade took a few steps towards my boxes before he hesitated. “What do you want?”
“Why are you so bitchy with me?” Cade turned to look at me. “I literally walked in here.”
“You never come see me. I’m not expecting good news.”
“You are leaving tomorrow. I assumed you wanted to switch packs.”
“Excited to get rid of me?” It stung more than I cared to admit.
Cade opened his mouth, but stopped himself. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.”
“Fucking hell.” Cade pushed his alpha aura on me, making me fall to the ground. It turned my neck at a painful angle. “Tell me the truth. What the fuck is wrong?”
“Everything! Fucking you. I’m so mad at you!”
“Me?” Cade pulled the aura back. My pride just took a fucking hit, and he wanted to offer me a hand?
Slapping it away, I jumped up. “What did I do to you?”
“What didn’t you do?” Now the doors were open, it all came out. “I had no one growing up but Tatum. My dad was Kyle’s beta. He might have died a year ago, but he wasn’t a dad. Tatum was there for me. I tried to be another sister to you. I tried to be your best warrior, so you finally accepted me. I saved Tatum as a child, and all I got was blamed. If Tatum did anything bad, it was my fault. I took it because of your dad, but I took it. I took it because she was my only true friend, and I had to. You never saw me, never accepted me, and never fought for me. You barely stood up to Piercy. You moved mountains for Tatum, but tossed me to him and said, figure it out. You don’t care how I feel about living with him. No, you came here to finally get rid of me. Even after I got Tatum out of that house, I’m still not good enough for you.” My rant ended, but Cade didn’t speak for a moment. “Can you please leave, Alpha? I’m tired and would like to go to bed.”
Taking a few steps to the door, it opened quicker than I expected. Piercy stood on the other side, partly falling in from the sudden movement. “Cade?” He looked at my face. “What’s going on?” “I came to ask
Brett about switching packs.” Cade stood up straight as he looked at Piercy.
“Ah, well…” Piercy sighed, “Maybe we can do that tomorrow? I would like to talk to Brett, please.”
“Sure.” Cade didn’t look at me as he walked out. Only put his hand on Piercy’s shoulder and closed the door behind him.
“Is that really what he wanted?” Piercy sighed and sat down.
“It is.” Pushing my feelings down, I just looked at this man. “We already talked, so what is it you want?”
“I decided I didn’t like how it ended.”
“Shocker.” Rolling my eyes, I just sat down across the room from him.
“I’m serious, Brett.”
“Piercy, we haven’t had a personal conversation in a month. The only thing we have discussed is protecting the twins, fighting about me fighting and what Maddox and Tate dealt with. The only time I have seen any form of emotion from you was after I got kidnapped. Otherwise, you barge into my room and demand I change my way.”
His jaw flexed as I fought him. Something that made my panties wet, but I learned how to hide it. “I did what you asked. I protected the twins and they are both my allies.”
“Do you even like them?”
Piercy snorted. “Like them? I’m not a girl, but yeah, they are cool from what I know of them.”
“Look, I’m meeting you halfway. I told you I would come to your pack if you did what I asked. You did, so I’m coming, but I’m not switching packs until I decide if I’m staying.”
This was the same argument we have had over and over. Putting my face in my hands, I just groaned in frustration. I wasn’t looking forward to leaving. Go to a pack where women need to be silent? Fuck that. Yet, here I am. Doing exactly that.
“Spend the night with me.” Piercy leaned forward. His elbows were on his knees. “Stay with me. We can watch a movie and eat popcorn. Just spend the rest of the evening together.” Looking up, his stupid face was giving me that half smile that made my knees shake. “Please?”
I remember the feel of his lips on mine and I wanted that. We haven’t went past that. Shit, I haven’t even spent a night in his bed. “We can start with a movie.”
Slowly, we walked up to the stone steps. I couldn’t help but look at the obvious bullet holes that told a story I needed to know. However, there wasn’t a porch. Just massive double doors that separated me from the outside world. “Ready?” Gavin grabbed the handles and looked at me. “No, I enjoy looking at the stone under my feet.” “BRETT!” Piercy snapped. Plastering a smile, I looked at Gavin as he was fighting for his life. “Oh, please open the door for me so I can go see what new fresh hell is waiting for me behind these doors.” Looking over at Piercy, he had his eyes closed. “Was that better or should I try again? I only wish to please you.” A deep warning growl ran up his chest as he looked at me. “You are seriously pushing it.” “Yes, please open the fucking doors.” I said, looking at Gavin. “Yes, Luna.” However, he wasn’t looking at me. He was smirking at Piercy. Anything bitchy I was going to say got stuck in my throat. I could see up three stories with a massive crystal
Piercy closed his laptop and stood up as I grabbed my bag. “I’ll take your things to our room. If you need a few minutes, that’s fine. However, I would like to take you on a tour of the grounds before we eat supper.” “Great.” Holding his gaze, his eyes narrowed like he expected me to argue. When he didn’t say anything, I just walked forward and opened the plane door. This was too stuffy in here. What I didn’t expect was an absolute unit of a man to be standing at the back door to the limo that awaited us. He was leaning against the door, arms folded, and looking bored as shit. His hair was a few shades darker than Piercy’s, covered in tattoos and piercings, but had this playful smile on his face as I walked down the stairs. “Brett, this is my beta, Gavin.” Since he didn’t introduce me, I assumed Gave knew who I was. “Pleasure to meet you, luna.” Luna? “Name’s Brett.” His eyebrow shot up as I opened my own door, forcing him to move out of my way. “Like it or not, my pack will add
“Fuck..” he growled and tossed me off him.I couldn’t help but laughed. “Your turn.”“Kiss your partner where ever you want. For one minute.”Well shit. The look in Piercy’s eyes was almost too much. His hand pushed me back across the couch. All I could do was watch as he pulled my joggers down. My arousal filling the cabin of the plane. Hitting play, Piercy moved down between my legs. Kissing my clit, I had weeks worth of build up frustration that was coming out. “Ah, fuck!” I moaned, but I was gone. My orgasm hit just before the time we went off, but Piercy didn’t stop. He rode out my orgasm until the pressure built up and then he pulled back. “That was longer than the time….” I said with labored breathing. It took me a second to sit up. Since my joggers were gone, I didn’t bother grabbing them. “Take off your shirt.” Pulling it off, I just had on my bra. “My turn.” Piercy pulled his out and raised his eyebrows. “Three turn ons. Okay, I loved forward women in the bedroom. I love
Maddox snorted. “Completely different pregnancy so far. Can’t stop eating.” “Happy for you.” To make things better, I actually believed him. “Thanks.” The dining room was packed. Sitting across from Tate, she was eating sausage over a chocolate chip waffle with gravy. “I can’t even eat…” Jo glared at Tate. “Your food makes me want to throw up.” “I have zero sympathy for you.” Tate just stayed in her own world and ate. “Do you have what you need?” Jo looked at me. “I do.” I like her, but not as much as Tate. “I’ll get the rest of my stuff sometime.”Jo waved me off. “Whenever. I’m not changing your room. It will be there.” With one last glare at Tate, Jo stood up. “I’m sorry, I can’t.” Covering her mouth, she ran past Cade out the door. I watched him follow her, making my heart drop a little. However, I was used to it. As the guys talked and laughed, Tate was in her own happy place. “Maybe you can get a snake bite….” Tate broke my focus. As hard as I tried to not laugh, I still
“Well, since you already spilled the beans, I just finished it off.” Tatum sighed and sat on the toilet as I turned the shower on and got undressed. “He feels like shit for following Jo and not saving me. Now, he feels like a failure to you.” “I don’t need him to start caring now. I just need him to not force me to change packs until I’m ready.” “How is that going?” “About the same. He wants a submissive Luna, and I won’t give that.” “Brett. I know I have had my own shit, but I’ve listened to that lie a few times. Try again.” “You Collins are annoying.” “And you need to diet. Try again.” Dark humor was our way of coping. “Tate. I’m still having nightmares about Rowan, Michelle and Tina. I can’t let Piercy help and then get attached if he won’t let me be who I am. Then it gets messy, and I’d have to move back…” Tate was quiet for a moment. “Yeah, I’m still struggling. Maddox helps, but sometimes it is too much for him and he fights Cade to get the stress out. Doesn’t help he tr
Piercy frowned, but nodded. “What movie?” Sighing in defeat, I grabbed whatever was on top. The Fast and Furious collection. “I guess this.” Piercy held the door for me as I walked out. He had gotten used to putting his hand on my back or thigh, never trying anything more. “Go ahead and put it in and I’ll get the snacks.” Piercy’s room was much bigger than mine. The T.V. was pointed at the couch. Thankfully, that meant I wasn’t getting into his bed. Hitting play, I grabbed a blanket and sat down off to the side. Not against the armrest, but not in the middle. “Here you go.” Piercy handed me a glass of Crown in ice. “Thanks.” Setting the popcorn in the middle, we fell into this comfortable, yet awkward silence. The kind you feel when you’re in high school with your crush, but his parents are in the same room… yeah, that weird awkwardness. “Are you done?” Piercy looked at me and looked at the half eaten popcorn. “Yeah.”“Need a refill?”“Please.” It felt like I could finally brea
