Cade’s anger faded away as I ranted. “Tate, you kept pushing against him.”

“I don’t need your fucking help!” I screamed. “Maddox was doing just fine on his own. I was getting there, before you decided you needed to force me into things. Maddox was breaking through my shell without your input. I would have gotten there. Now this? Now that I am under Maddox’s complete care…. a member of his pack, you still think you can control my life? Control what I can and cannot do?”

“YOU ARE MY SISTER!” Cade yelled, shocking Jo. I was ready for it. Ready to have it out with my brother. “I will always care about you! No one else did!”

“What has your panties in a twist more? The fact that you don’t trust Maddox to make good decisions when it comes to me? Or the fact that I don’t need you like I used to?”
