People poured in at the Martin residence at the crack of dawn. Reporters were outside their house, letting the world know about the heinous murder of a teenager who was accused of killing her boyfriend, not once but twice.

Neighbors, former teachers, friends, and distant relatives all sympathized with Jane and Harry, who had just lost their only child.
