ログインOLIVE BECKETT
"It's what this is, isn't it? You want Summer for yourself and you've come to destroy my engagement, haven't you? Are you still going to live that pathetic life ? Face it, Easton, not everything bends to your rules!" "She doesn't want you!" "And she wants you? Focus on your love live, it is clear you need some help in that department!" "Fuck you. I have a girlfriend." "Her?" He pointed at me. "Everyone here knows this is a facade. A big lie, I can tell. You guys are not dating." Easton held his face like as he watched his brother, Ethan. It was like a show-off and a stupid one, if you would ask me. What I didn't expect was the next thing he uttered. "You're right," he scoffed. "We aren't dating. That's because she is not my girlfriend. Olive is my fiance, and we are getting married." The room froze as I watched him lie. I sat there, speechless as our fake relationship turned to a fake marriage in a blink of an eye. ~~~~~~ 6 hours earlier He picked me up at seven on the dot. Where and why we were going was still a mystery to me. But I badly needed this fake relationship to work. “So, whose engagement ceremony are we going to stop?” I asked the moment I got in the car. “My brother’s,” he said, his eyes focused on the road. “Excuse me, what? Why are you stopping your brother's engagement ceremony?” “It's a long story.” “Yeah… one that you need to tell me about because I need to prepare for it.”He looked focused, like a different man from last night. “Okay… since you want an explanation. He is getting married to my best friend, and I can't let him.” “If she loves him—” “She doesn't love him,” he finished. “She doesn't love him. She's just making a stupid decision, like the other stupid decisions she has made.” The way his jaw flexed when he talked about the engagement showed the extent he was willing to go to stop it. It almost felt as if he hated the idea of giving away the woman he loved. Oh my gosh, that's it! “You love her,” I said. He blinked, and for a minute, I could tell he hadn't expected me to figure it out. “You love her, don't you? That's why you want to stop the engagement. But if she chose your brother, I think you should respect her decision.” “You don't know her like I do. She definitely does not want my brother. She made this decision because of something else, and I have to find out why.” “I didn't sign up for this, you know? The deal was a fake relationship, not an addition to family drama. Excuse me, but I don't want the additional perks.” He snorted, and I could see a little smile form on the side of his lips. “Don’t worry, I won't get you into any mess.” As if. You can never trust these hockey men, especially the rich and popular ones. Soon enough, we got to his family house, more like a mansion. The type you would see in an Indian series, where the extended family was part of the show as well. The gate automatically opened as he drove in. Grand facades featured towering gateways and ornate jharokhas, overhanging balconies with carved stone screens that allowed ventilation while maintaining privacy. Sloping roofs with terracotta tiles. It looked magical and homely. “Are you sure about this?” I asked him at the doorstep, our hands intertwined. “Yes, I am.” He rang the doorbell, and in a flash, the door opened. A woman, presumably in her late 60s, beamed at us. “Mom.” He rushed into her arms, and she squealed. “I'm soooo happy you could make it, Buttercup!” Buttercup? Interesting. “And who is she?” “This is my girlfriend, Olive.” I went in to hug her, and she placed a kiss on my forehead. “Now I know the lucky girl who captured my Buttercup's heart.” I faked a smile and she walked us inside. The living area was grand, decorated amazingly with gold and bronze. Top-to-bottom windows shone sunlight through the house. In the middle stood a man with a striking resemblance to Easton and another who had the same face, holding a beautiful blonde’s hand. “Guess who came?!” Easton rushed to the older man and hugged him. “Dad!” “Hey, slugger. I didn't think you would come.” “No way, there's no way I'll miss this.” “This is Olive, my girlfriend.” He introduced me to his father, and I didn't expect him to like me as well. “It was about time you brought a girl home,” the other guy said. “Olive, this is my brother, Ethan.” I could hear the difference in his voice. “Nice to meet you,” Ethan said. I took a good look at him. Sharp jawline, black suit, and an arrogant attitude underneath it all. Compared to Easton, he was the worst version—the overbearing kind. “Hi, I'm Summer.” A slim hand stretched out to touch mine. Oh- I'm guessing this is the girl. Thick blonde curls cascaded down her back, blue eyes that looked exactly like the sky. Soft porcelain skin with little dots of freckles underneath her eyes like beauty marks. Her voice sounded like she was singing a lullaby. She wasn't just pretty—she was beautiful, like she had just come out of a Barbie cartoon. “Summer.” I could tell by how he looked at her… focused on the way his brother held her hand and the way his jaw flexed. There was tension between the three of them, and anyone could tell. “Okay…why don't you go to your room and settle down with Olive, buttercup?” He nodded, held my hand, and walked us upstairs. —----------------------------------------------------- “So, what's the plan?” “I don't know. I'll try to convince Summer as much as I can,” he groaned, pushing his bangs all the way back. “Are you sure you're not making the wrong decision? I saw her, and she didn't seem like she was forced to get married to him.” “She doesn't love him. I know that.” “And you think she loves you?” He paused, then turned to me. “I know this is none of my business, and I know nothing about you and Summer, but don't you think you're living a delusion? Also, if you want to stop this engagement ceremony so bad, why did you agree to this fake relationship with me?” It made no sense to me. Why waste my time? What was my reason for being here? It was clear the girl wasn't into him like that, yet somehow, he believed otherwise. “If she sees me with someone else, it would make her jealous. Look, this is none of your business. No invading personal space, remember?” “But this became my business when you brought me here. If you really want my help to stop this engagement and eventually wedding, you need to tell me every thing else." He didn't respond and I nodded, going along with his attitude. He walked into the bathroom and, after a few minutes, walked out with nothing but a towel hanging low on his waist. Instinctively, I covered my eyes with my hands. “No worries, you can look. I enjoy the attention.” Prick. Three hours later, I walked down to the dining room for lunch. I had no idea where Easton had escaped to, but the show must go on. I didn't even have enough time to settle in when Easton walked into the dining room with Ethan following behind him. Ethan caught up with him quickly and pushed him aside. “What the fuck is wrong with you?!” Ethan shouted. “Is this it? This is why you're here, right?!” Summer walked out to where they stood. Everyone's eyes turned to them. “Stop it, Ethan. It's not his fault," She said. “Not his fault? Sure, you'll always take his side. You think Summer can save you this time?" “I'm not,” she said. “But you can't hit him because of me.” “Why are you with him?!” Easton shouted. “I know you, Summy. You don't love him. You told me yourself.” He looked straight at Ethan. “My brother is a narcissistic, arrogant airhead. Those were your words.” I got up, in an attempt to stop whatever was happening. It already looked embarrassing coming here, claiming to be his girlfriend while he pinned over his brother's fiancee. Ethan threw a blow and their parents got up quickly. They tried to stop it, but Easton didn't even try to fight back. He just let his brother hit him and then shove him. “I'm done with this shit! I'm done with always letting you get away with whatever you do! You're the golden child. The one that everyone forgives so easily.” He breathed heavily. “It's what this is, isn't it? You want Summer for yourself, and you've come to destroy my engagement, haven't you? Are you still going to live that pathetic life? Face it, Easton, not everything bends to your rules!” "Easton, leave him alone," I said. "No, I won't!" Everyone clawed at the both of them but it seemed impossible to stop them. Panic filled the room, faces filled with worry. “She doesn't want you! She doesn't love you!” “And she loves you? Focus on your love life; it's clear you need some help in that department!” “Fuck you. I have a girlfriend.” “Her?” He pointed at me. “Everyone here knows this is a facade. A big lie, I can tell. You guys aren't dating. You think I wouldn't know?” Shit! I was about to blurt out the truth when Easton caught me off. He held his face high as he watched his brother, Ethan. It was like a show-off, and a stupid one if you asked me. What I didn't expect was the next thing he uttered. “You're right,” he scoffed. “We aren't dating. That's because she isn't my girlfriend. Olive is my fiancée, and we are getting married.” The room froze as I watched him lie. I sat there, speechless, as our fake relationship turned into a fake marriage in the blink of an eye.EASTON CARTERI had called for a meeting with Ethan at the cafe. At first he was worried but I assured everything was fine right after. He dropped down from his car and walked right into the cafe. It didn't take long before he spotted me.“So, what was so important you had to get me out of an important meeting?” He asked while he sat, propping an eye brow.I sat straighter. I could tell he was trying to decipher what the actual problem was from my expression.“I want to propose to Olive. I want to make her my wife,” I blurted.“Woahhhhhh. I didn't…are you sure?” “Yes. I don't know.”“You're not sure if you want to make your girlfriend your wife?” “I…did that sound bad?” “I don't know,” he rested on the chair, arms crossing his chest. “Is it?”“Look, I didn't call you here to ask me questions.”“I know that. But you called me here because you already have a decision made and need my advice. But it doesn't seem like that.”“I've just been…thinking.”“About what? Does she not want th
OLIVE BECKETT “How is that I just walked round and picked out things that I liked and I'm this exhausted?” I complained from my spot in the kitchen as I watched Easton prepare dinner. He had sent the servants home for the night, so it was only the two of us in their big house.“Walking around can be really stressful you know?”I groaned in agreement then took a sip of my orange juice. “I should have drank a lot of red wine and champagne at your parents anniversary,” I said with a deep sigh.Easton chuckled and dropped a plate of seedless grapes in front of me. “You can have the raw materials of red wine though,” he teased with a smile.“It's not the same,” I groaned and threw one into my mouth. “Oh, this is really good.”He laughed, returning back to the cooker. “The duck will be ready in some minutes.”Smiling as I ate more of the grapes. “Your talents in the kitchen is really impressive. Some months ago, you couldn't even boil rice to save your life and now, here you are preparing
OLIVE BECKETT I could feel myself being carried at first then nothing. I couldn't feel or hear or smell anything.Just darkness. It felt like I was trapped and stuck. I couldn't scream or shout for help. It wasn't a weightless nothingness, the darkness had weight. It pressed into me from all sides.I was…Sharp bright light suddenly filled my vision, I blinked, trying to adjust to the light. Sweet relief filled me as I took a deep breath, I could feel my body.I felt sore in some places but I was okay. Blinking, I looked around, trying to recognize where I was.“Olive,” someone said, their voice light. I felt their hand in mine almost immediately after.I blinked at the direction the voice came from.Who…?Easton. My heart rate increased as memories flooded my head. My vision became blurry with tears. This wasn't the first time I lost consciousness, so why had it felt like that?Something was different.“The doctor is on his way,” Easton comforted me. “Everything is alright. I'm he
OLIVE BECKETT Easton was packing my lunch when I walked into the kitchen all dressed and ready to go.“Thanks babe,” I kissed his cheek. His cooking had gotten really good lately and luckily for me, he enjoyed cooking for me.“Anytime.” He hugged me and handed the bag to me. “I'm having practice today so I won't be able to pick you up.”“Alright. I'll take my car then.”Nodding, he went to bring the keys for me.“Babe, did we later discover who ordered the pizza last night?” I asked.“No. Don't think too much about it. Stuff like this happens once in a while.”“They get the address wrong and deliver things to your house?”“Yep.”He gave me the key and took my bags from me. “As long as the security wasn't worried, everything is all good.”I sighed, “Alright. Thanks for preparing lunch for me. Have a great day.”“You too sweetheart.”We kissed, I took my bags from him and left the house.I couldn't stop thinking about it though. The timing just seemed weird to be just a coincidence. Pl
EASTON CARTER Olive couldn't make it to the meeting with my brother because of work, so she called Summer yesterday to apologize. I was here for both of us.“How does one plan a surprise party for billionaires?” Summer complained from her position on the couch, my brother's lap to be precise.I blinked at her. “I don't understand why you're so worried. They will love anything we prepare, you know this.”This wasn't exactly our first rodeo when it comes to preparing a surprise party for our parents. Given her relationship with me, Summer was always a part of the planning and executing team but most importantly, she used to be the messenger between my brother and I. Granted that it had been a while since we did something like this, it still didn't explain her nervousness.“Yeah but I wasn't their daughter in law then. That changes everything.”I glanced at Ethan to see if he understood what was going on, he shook his head in response.“It's about making a good impression, big oafs,” s
OLIVE BECKETT There was no other soul around here but us and no light either apart from the one coming from streetlights in a distance, I had checked.I went on my toes and kissed him. His lips tasted like salt and his own taste mixed together, I loved it.I heard the wet shirt fall with a thud, Easton wrapped his hand around my waist and took over the kiss.Moaning, I clung harder, rubbing my body against shamelessly his hard cool one. He groaned and proceeded to fuck my mouth with his tongue. Whimpering, I let him, goading him on with little licks.Panting, he pulled back and followed slightly with a whimper.“Fuck sweetheart,” he growled, his thumb tracing my bottom lip. “We're outside, wait for moment and I will give you what you want at home.”I shook my head and took his finger into my mouth. I couldn't see his face clearly but his shiver told me everything I needed to know.He wanted this, just as bad as I did.I spoke around his thumb. “Please? No one is here.”Easton chided

EASTON CARTERI fucking hate hangovers. The painkillers should work, sure, but today was important. Last night, my team had scheduled a modeling session with a fashion brand—here in Jersey.I got out of the bathroom, took out a good pair of clothes, and put them on. My phone was pinging with notifi

I tried calling her line and thankfully spotted her friend, Nurse Cici.My chest hurt for some weird reason, and I wasn't at peace. Something was wr
