*** Amanda's Office *** The door slams shut as Amanda hurriedly walks into her office. She seems a bit tense and looks quite anxious. She walks over to her desk and takes a seat on her swivel chair, reclining her head on the headrest and taking a deep breath. The office is silent.... and remains totally silent until she finally exhales. Amanda’s POVWith sluggish feet, I walked into mom's ward taking deep breaths. The sound of the heart monitor was the first thing that could be heard, her chest rising and falling as the oxygen mask covered her face. She had been on life support for some months now.
