Bella's Pov

"We are here." My father stated after driving for a long time. My brows furrowed as I looked around. All I seen was what looked to be an abandoned hospital.

The engagement party couldn't be here right? The building looked like it would fall apart at any second. It looked like it was haunted with its boarded up windows and bricks that looked like they would fall at any second. It looked like someone had went to knock it down but got a call right as the recking ball knocked into it.

"Where are we?" I asked in disbelief as both my father and Lucas climbed out of the car. They couldn’t seriously believe that an engagement party would be perfect here?

I grabbed the car door handle and tried to push it open but it didn’t budge. I looked down and pulled it towards me and pushed it again. My brows narrowed as the child proof lock prevented me from opening up the doors.

I quickly tapped on the window like a caged animal earning a small smirk from Lucas. "Open the door." I demanded. My father turned to look at me for just a second before he was disregarding me and turning back towards Lucas.

They didn’t think I would stay in the car did they? I gave the door one more push as I looked at the front door that was still open.

A mumble left me as I climbed towards the front not showing any regard for my father car. The dress I had on was an inconvenience and I could only take my anger out on the car seats as it got caught on something causing me to have to wiggle and push forward with all my might. My head hit the dashboard and a small whimper left me and I lazily lifted my head up.

A loud slam had me looking over and cursing. My father had closed the door while I was dazed. I quickly shimmied over and reached for the door just for it to not open.

"You." I grit out as I got situated in my seat and grabbed the handle. No matter how hard I tried to open it it wouldn't budge. How was it not opening when the child proof locks should've only been in the back?

I huffed as I slammed by body back against the passengers seat. I was being punished for what I said and it was unfair.

Had my grandfather trusted in me to manage the company I wouldn't be having this problem right now. He thought I would grow up weak but I didn't.

The sound of tires and a quiet engine had me lazily looking over. A black truck with tinted windows was slowly pulling up towards us.

I looked over at my father and Lucas and back at the truck. What was happening? Were they meeting with this person?

The truck turned off and what looked like a biker stepped around the truck. His black shirt clung to his body too tightly and he had sun glasses on for no apparent reason. His brown beard seemed to be untamed and his jeans seemed to tight. He was definitely a biker that was driving a truck. I could only imagine how loud his shoes had to be against the concrete.

I watched as my father pointed to our car as he talked to the man who I could only assume was a criminal. Was this some type of drug deal? I had seen this kind of scene in movies that I had snuck and watched when my mother wasn’t around.

The man looked at me with a smirk as he gave a slight nod to my father. As he started to walk towards our car I took no time into quickly making my way back into the back. I had seen to many movies to not understand that this couldn’t be good.

The door was opened and a dark chuckle filled my ears as my waist was grabbed by two large hands. An ear piercing scream left me as I kicked anywhere I could on his body and fought to get away from him.

"Help." I screamed when he restrained my arms and pulled me out of the car. Desperation kicked in and all I could do was turn towards my father as I tried to wiggle free.

"Daddy help." I begged even though I wasn't dumb enough to think that this wasn't his doing. Why else did he point to the car? He set me up.

The man lifted me in the air and I could do nothing besides kick at his legs that seemed to be made of steel. Tears were flowing down my face without any help from me as I wrestled to free myself.

When the man turned me towards my father I gained a little hope. "Daddy please. I, I'm scared." I pleaded desperately as I tried to wiggle out of the man's calloused hands. I was tough to a point and I think I drew the line way before this big burly man.

My father gave me a tight smile that didn't reassure me at all. My mom had warned me that he didn't love me. I should’ve known he would hurt me if he didn’t get what he wanted.

"Sweetheart I." Loud music had him pausing and me looking over towards a limited edition gold Lamborghini that was definitely lost.

The car sped towards us before whoever was in the car hit the breaks causing the wheels to create skid marks. The car stopped directly next to Lucas and the music lowered right as someone stepped out.

"It took you long enough." Lucas mumbled with annoyance as a guy with blond hair stepped next to him. I would have gained a little hope if he didn’t look at me with disinterest. There was no way he help any type of empathy for my situation.

"I would have been quicker had I not had to help Brandon clean up your lovely fiancées mess." The man wryly stated causing me to stiffen. My mess?

"I haven't done anything." I rushed out desperately. They couldn’t punish me or blame me for anything when I didn’t do anything besides talk. “Are the guests still there?" Lucas asked completely ignoring me. Did nobody seem to care about my predicament?

"Yes but people are starting to whisper that you guys are late because Bella doesn't want to marry you." The guy stated with a grim expression on his face.

A small smirk formed as Lucas turned towards me. My chest tightened as I tried to wiggle free from the man's hold. The crazed look Lucas gave me had me less afraid of man holding me and more afraid of him. He was extremely handsome and I could only assume that with all the good qualities on the outside, he had to be crazy on the inside.

"Bella I'm going to give you two options." Lucas stated with a deadly expression that had me shivering from fear. I looked over at my father praying that he would care but of course he was looking at me with narrowed eyes and presses lips.

Lucas slowly walked forward and I flinched back as he reached for my face. His fingered grabbed my face gently and a wry smirk formed on his face as he rubbed my jaw.

"I won't hurt you, you are going to be my wife and I like my things in tact." He stated nonchalantly. A small amount of defiance overtook the fear and I was quick to try to look away. I was nobody’s property.

“I, I am not yours.” I stuttered with faux confidence. The smirk Lucas gave me would’ve had me fawning over him if I was the proper fiancée.

"Princess I would hate for tonight to go horribly wrong, especially since your mothers freedom depends on it." My father stated from my side.

I felt the color draining from my face as I took in his words. Her freedom? Did they have her? Did she not run away?

"Now that we’ve got your attention here's your options." Lucas started as he gently forced me to look into his green eyes. The gentleness in them could only be described as possessives.

"You will either come to the engagement party clinging to me like I am the only thing that gives you life or you will go home and be locked away forever never to see your mother again." He stated as he gently touched my lips with his finger. I couldn't focus on his actions when his words made it hard to breathe.

I wanted to believe that he was lying but part of me always believed that she wouldn't leave me no matter what. That she loved me with all her heart and that she would've stayed forever trapped in our house if it meant that she could protect me.

"Which will it be?" He asked lowly. I took a deep breath and willed myself to relax. It was one night, all I had to do was pretend than I would call the guy that my mother planned to marry me off too and ask him to ask his family for help. They had to be able to help.

"I, I will go to the party." I stuttered as my chest tightened. A small smirk formed as he stared into my blue eyes.

"I hope you make a good impression. One slip up and there will be no second chances." He whispered lowly. The smell of mint and wood assaulted my senses leaving me lost. Someone as cruel as him should've smelled like the worst musk in the world not like the perfect midnight snack.
