All Akira could do was to nod .

The girl who compared even yogurt prices didn't even flinch while shelling out 3700 USD from her credit card . Her eyes were swelling with tears which she was trying hard to contain . The pain in her heart was hounding her and all that she wanted was a quick escape .

She held her boarding pass in hand and rushed for security check . She wanted to get far away from this place as soon as possible . This place was not for her, she wasn't meant to be here . After immigration, she went to the nearest information panel . As soon as she reached there, the screen flickered with an update .

Flight to JFK - Delayed . New Boarding Time - 03:30

Her flight was delayed by 2 hours .

Even her fate was against her .

Without batting an eyelid she kept looking at the screen . With each and every passing second, she was feeling crushed . She tried hard to compose herself, but she was failing . Tears were rolling down her cheeks so she rushed away from the information panel . She frantically started searching for a place to hide from the prying eyes of people so as soon as she saw the sign of washroom she immediately dashed towards it .

She clutched her purse and literally started sprinting . But before she could even enter the lounge area she bumped against someone . His built was rock solid, so he didn't move an inch but she fell down because of the impact . His musky smell was suddenly overpowered with the smell of coffee within a split of a second . His coffee had spilled and the documents he was holding was scattered all over the place . She immediately started collecting few of the sheets which were strewn all over, but she had no courage to lift her head up and look at him as she didn't want anyone to see her crying . She didn't want to be pitied . She quickly bowed and apologized to him and ran towards the washroom before he could even say anything to her .

She found an empty cabin in the washroom and rushed in . After crying her heart out she came out and started wiping her face in front of the mirror . At that point only, she realized how disheveled she was looking . She was wearing her Pajamas from yesterday night and her hair was in a messy bun . All this crying made her look like a wreck . But she didn't care .

She took out her phone which was in silent mode till now .

57 missed-calls . 2 from her brother and the rest from Anthony . She kept staring at the screen and then decided to check her W******p messages . She had 220 unread messages . All from Anthony . She started reading them one by one .

"Babe listen to me . It's not what you think . "

"Can you please pick up my phone? Can we talk like adults?"

"Do not jump into assumptions ok? At least hear me out . Do not overthink babe . Please just pick up my call babe . "

"Where is your trust? Can you just trust me this once? It's all in your head . I have nothing to do with her . She is just a friend and you know that . "

"I knew that you would prepare something for me and stay up late in the night . So I didn't tell you that I was back in the city . Trust me, babe, I had no other intention . I had no idea that Becky would come to surprise me . It was all her . "

Akira kept on scrolling down reading the messages . She wanted to believe in him so bad, as she couldn't accept what she saw with her own eyes . She had come all the way from New York to Singapore to surprise her Boyfriend . Little did she know that she instead of surprising him she would get the shock of her life . She gasped for air and then sighed .

She then tried to recompose herself and dialed a number .

"Bro !!! I am coming back . And yes, you were right . Anthony is an asshole . "

And she started crying again .
