Chapter 5: Out of Airlines

The guard let Wayne in so I chin up high and head my chin low to proceed our walk into the exit of the port after Wayne grabbed his case and mine as well.

The middle spot of the port prevailed crowded with people that witness the incident.

I hold my weight and relax myself to slither out of the area without getting touched by someone while Wayne was pushing the others that blocking his path.

The people he pushed with his hand obviously complained and got mad to start an argument in the middle of the dilemma.

I pressed my proximal phalanx on my finger to activate the communication process through chips in our ears like telephones or maybe telekinesis.

I contacted Wayne, he was at the back of me, I believe or just a memory that I remember kept inside because I am losing a glimpse of him from making my way out of this crowded airport.

JhayV: "Hang your fat in there because I am occupied finding my way out to this airport as fast as I could"

    WayneZ: "You cactus motherf*cker"

JhayV: "Just pursue me steps and we will land outside shortly"

WayneZ: "Alright, do not f*ck this up and we are so lucky to flee there, if not, our heads will blow like that guy, who will bring this f*cking stuff in the airport though, does he have a f*cking conscience, or brain before entering the port?"

JhayV: "I do not know, maybe he dropped his brain somewhere in the plane"

Waynez: "Deadset, I bet it is"

I saw the neon lavender hazy sign that brings my eyes attention to it - it was an exit all along so I told Wayne that we are near the exit of the airport.

He sighed so I sighed as well.

"Going through! Excuse me please" I said to those passengers that are about to take themselves to the exit but blocking my way.

I turned to the left, and my chest was almost hitting the person's shoulder so I shove back and then walk away quickly.

As I step outside of the airport, I breathed in and breathe out for a second before checking Wayne if he catch up.

"At last! For Peter's Sake!" Wayne panted and then patted his shoulder and his hair after he glimpse me outside of the airport.

"Well we need to call a cab through that booth" I pointed to the calling cab booth across the road or it was just in front of the airport but it was pretty further away from us.

"F*ck it, looks defi like we need to wait for the green light to pop up on that pedestrian screen," Wayne said while we are standing on the verge of the airport's pavement to the entrance.

"The car is mostly above the road than below," I said while brushing my nose with my finger.

"Green light, let's shoot through," he said while fetching his cigarette down the pocket of his brown pants that the sides of it were yet impressed me because of the vertical stitches on the side as its design.

I followed him and the others from behind to pursue our steps as the green light was still on the pedestrian screen.

The buildings beyond the city were eye-catching and therefore I was thrilled to see them glow after the sky shifted its beauty to evening.

There are no trees nor plants that stand above the pavement as well in the front of the buildings - it was empty, nothing but concrete and glass.

Skyscrapers were crowding their area one another, the lane beside the building was compressed by neon shacks and stores and the structures of every building did not leave any space for others to stand as well upon this city.

All of them are gloomy and some are colorful which draws the society to that building as well as the other structures in Winter City.

I can't even see the sunlight as we get closer to the cab booth from the buildings that blocked the radiant of the afternoon.

Some bridges are connected to the other buildings above the road we are crossing, including the electricity network of each building that is now coated in this city and era.

"Alrighty haven, how on earth are we gonna tap on this screen? Is there a manual here?" Wayne scuffs his belly and gazes his confused eyes on me.

"Tap that red box labeled taxi near the publications and I bet this will phone a cab for us," I said while scanning my eyes into the screen while swiping up and down and to east and west.

"Why don't you tap it? you f*ck me dead at this kind of stuff" Wayne lifts his shoulders one at a time while he yet glares at me after he bends his lip down south.

"Alright, how stupid I am" I chuckle in the end before I press my finger on the red box to summon the cab.

We suddenly receive a buzzer from our chief in our head.

Wayne and I glanced at each other before accepting the call. We tapped our tragus after we countdown in a whisper.

WayneZ: "Sup Bozz and good arvo, we are flat out of loitering for the cab to pick us up to fling us to our destination you lend to us"

CapWolf: "Yes, I assume our master change the setting of your expedition in this City, from a week to a months now and I expect two of you will finalize the tasks that our ace objectively delivered into your chip in an exact time not late no excuse nor fails"

JhayV: "May I ask why he changes the time that kind of long period like kicking us out to stay here?"

CapWolf: "I have no clue for the reasons why he rewrite the setting to your given mission and we believe this city is a horrible and pleasant place so he expanded more missions to create this city a better place for living and so forth so good luck boys"

WayneZ: "This is just bullish*t chief, if this place is truly chaotic we would've been dead by now and our ace is giving us plenty of days to stay in from an unfamiliar place is no bueno to me"

CapWolf: "I apologize for the bad announcement but the good news is you will solve plenty of cases there and slay some sinners down the street for cash and kitties"

Wayne and I glimpse the cab above us putting its wheel down to lend us a ride after a few minutes that upheld from pausing.

JhayV: "The cab is here chief, thank you for calling us and providing us with an announcement and additional duties and I will never let you down, sir"

    WayneZ: "What he said chief"

CapWolf: "Break a leg boys and adieu"

The call ended as the cab stood in front of us.

The coolest thing I have seen once at my age is a cab with no driver running the cab. So we peek through the glass and the only thing we saw was seats and high-tech screens.

I was the first to unlock the door before entering the cab but as I pull the knob - the door lifted itself not pushing itself in front of me and then slips to the side.

"What in the actual f*ck? This is the coolest sh*t I had ever seen" Wayne and I dropped our jaw to the carpet and glued our eyes to the neon navy light inside of the cab with the lady standing on the screen.

We sat on a black seat and then suddenly the leash of the seatbelt tied around us instead of us.

The window swiveled into an opaque style so that no light can pass through nor sounds but we can still see the outside of the cab.
