Chapter Forty Five: Allergies

After a while, Ella finally let go of Austin. She didn’t want to imagine what would have happened if his men had not come and the thugs had managed to kidnap them.

“Are you okay?” Austin asked in a whisper.

“Yes I am,” Ella answered. “You idiot, there was no need to put yourself in danger just because of me,” she chided.

Hearing Ella scold him assured Austin that she was really fine. He couldn’t describe the anger he felt at that moment when Ella was being humiliated.

It made him forget everything including the fact that the thugs had their guns pointed at him.

“I couldn’t control myself when I heard him say those things,” He explained.

Ella touched the cheek he had been punched on lightly. “And what would I have done if something had happened to you?” she asked.

Marcelo, who was standing beside them, wished to be anywhere else but there.

Didn’t the two realize that they were in a public place surrounded by people? Why were they acting so lovey dovey with each other?
