"Anything huh?" the older man stroked his chin and thought of what he should take in return to this young man's request. "My Lord, I am willing to give up anything for her - for you to grant my request." The younger man asked fervently, he is now clinging to his leg. "You?!" It was Kara's voiceless question, she never left her eye contact with this man. It was the same mysterious man whom she thought was a gruesome monster at school and had eventually saved her from Kendra. Now, here he is and saved her again in an accident that could have cost her life. "Are you a stalker?" It wasn't the question she was supposed to ask but it came up anyway. The man did not give up a hint of emotion this time, unlike their encounter at school. He gently put her back on her feet as he remained silent. "Who are you? Why are you here? Are you following me?!" Kara's tirade of questions. But the man just turned his back to her, preparing to walk away. She instantly grabbed his steel-hard, muscular arm. She's been here for hours now and has been screaming ever since. The dark had crept leaving the room in darkness. Kara is in a panic. She doesn't want to be left in this desolate stockroom nor stay here until somebody finds her. What if no one finds her? Will this place be her grave? She tried to focus, she must escape. Or the darkness will creep again and torment her. She needs a light. Her cellphone! She rummaged through her bag, where it is sitting at the bottom of her old, blue jansport bag. She opened the flashlight from her cell phone and somehow it broke the darkness. Is there a switch here? She thought and scanned the stockroom for any switch. There is one. "Where is she? What happened?!?" Martin, Kara's father demanded, shaking Kendra off. He has been looking for the children who were playing in the rest house's yard. "Are you alright?" It was a voice, so warm and crisp it melts in Kara's ears. When she looked up at the owner of the strong arms that caught her, he saw a pair of brown enigmatic eyes looking down at her. He has a perfectly chiseled face, his jaws were clenching, his skin bronze and smooth. His total aura is emanating with goodness. She gasped, is he an angel? She thought. She was just in there. Staring at the empty ceiling, feeling the world as it goes around her. In the warm glow of the lamp, her fears won't fade away. Just like all her other nights, this one is not different. She still cannot sleep no matter how she shut her eyes. "Mommy? Mommy!! Help! Help!!" Kara screamed, her arms flailing on the water, reaching something on the pool. Her eyes fixed on the toddler who had fallen on the water. Her eyes were already blinded by tears. She feels so helpless seeing her younger brother drown. Kendra came in to see the commotion. "You pushed him!?!" she blatantly shouted at her.
