Chapter 5: Anything

"You?!" It was Kara's voiceless question, she never left her eye contact with this man. It was the same mysterious man whom she thought was a gruesome monster at school and had eventually saved her from Kendra. Now, here he is and saved her again in an accident that could have cost her life.

"Are you a stalker?" It wasn't the question she was supposed to ask but it came up anyway. The man did not give up a hint of emotion this time, unlike their encounter at school. He gently put her back on her feet as he remained silent.

"Who are you? Why are you here? Are you following me?!" Kara's tirade of questions. But the man just turned his back to her, preparing to walk away. She instantly grabbed his steel-hard, muscular arm. He looked at her with such intensity that made the heat creep to her cheeks. Good thing it was dim and whether she is blushing or not, it is not obvious. She instantly withdrew her hands and kept them beside her.
