Coming out of the servant quarters, Henry went straight into the mansion. As he got closer to the main living room downstairs, he heard his parents and sister's laughter but he couldn't care less about the reason for their celebration or chatter. He just wanted to go to his room, drink himself to bed and take a 24-hour nap to clear his head. But there was a problem. There was no way Henry would get to the staircase that led to his suite unless he passed by the main living room. The last thing he wanted for his parents to pull him into any conversation. He was clearly not in the mood for that and he hoped they would understand.
Two days later.Vanessa woke up feeling uninspired to do anything, just like how she has been since Henry dashed out of her room. After randomly thinking about different things for a few minutes, She reluctantly got up from her bed and proceeded to do her morning rituals. By the time Vee was all dressed up and ready for work, it was almost 7 am. She stepped out of her r
Vanessa unconsciously found herself on the second floor of the Matthews mansion doing some cleaning inspections. She froze when she saw Henry Matthews coming her way. He was all dressed up for work. They hadn't been in touch since the night he stormed out of her room. They hadn't crossed paths either. All she knew was that he had been locked up in his room for two days now. She had wanted to reach out to him to know how he was doing but she couldn't. Not because of his mother's rule but because he was angry at her. The closer Henry approached Vanessa, the more nervous she became. He had a plain expression on his face and his eyes were fixed at where he was goi
Vanessa Maddox spent her day doing her chores. Once Eve and Logan Matthews had had their dinner, Vee stayed a while with Matilda in the kitchen. She assisted in doing the dishes, they also made random conversations in between. When they were done, Vee proceeded to her room. She spent a while on the phone talking to her parents and siblings. She made a mental note to seek permission from Eve for a weekend off so she could go visit her parents; either this weekend or next. Once Vee ended the call, She proceeded to take a shower and then called it a night.
Saturdays in the Matthews home were no different from every other day of the week. The only difference was that the families were prone to staying indoors. Laurel would only be found at home during the weekend if she was not on duty. Brian could stay locked up in his room, busying himself with work while Henry was the one that was more likely to go out on Saturday and Sunday.
A few days later.Vanessa was busy prepping all the ingredients for dinner. She decided to help Matilda out so she had her apron on. "Finally! I was beginning to think you ditched me when I'm only helping you out. Well, I'm glad you're here. I'm almost done cutting the vegetables. If we start cooking now, dinner will be ready on time." Vee said as she heard some footste
"It's almost midnight. I think I should get going." Vanessa whispered to Brian. The movie just ended but the duo were still cuddled up on the sofa. Vee's head was on Brian's chest and they had a blanket covering them.Brian looked at Vanessa. He began to caress her cheek. "Stay for the night, Please." He whispered. "There's no need to be scared; I promise to be on my be
As soon as Diane heard the sound of the doorbell, She dashed to the door, opened it and pulled her baby girl into a bone-crushing hug.Vanessa chuckled. "Good morning, mom." She returned the hug.
Although Vanessa planned on going to bed early tonight, it seemed impossible because of her younger sister, Katherine, who couldn't stop making conversations with her. Well, Vee wasn't complaining either. It wasn't every day she got the opportunity to see her sister and chat with her. The duo were in their room (the girls' room) on their bed to be precise when Vanessa's phone interrupted their conversation.
