Chapter 10

Jasmine threw her handbag in a random direction, gazing towards the dark, empty room with her distinctive scent lingering in the air. Somehow, every time she returned to that room, it felt like she wasn't coming back to a place she desired. There was no one welcoming her home or even acknowledging her presence in the house.

She reached out to switch on the room light when a large hand wrapped around her waist, causing Jasmine to flinch slightly. However, the familiar scent reassured her of who was currently embracing her warmly.

"You've been working hard today. Are you tired?" asked the deep voice, accompanied by warm breaths brushing against the nape of Jasmine's neck, causing her to close her eyes.

"Not too much," Jasmine answered, sounding like a whisper. Seth then leaned towards Jasmine's still face nestled in his embrace.
