Kimberly stared at Mr. Gareth with confusion written all over her face. How did he notice? Was it that obvious?

The ride home was equally quiet, making Kimberly’s thoughts drift back to her conversation with Mr. Gareth.She could tell, he still felt guilty and remorseful for his past choices. Kimberly decided to pay her dad a visit the next day. She woke up pretty early, leaving a sleeping Ian at home. Kimberly was impressed with the cabin once she got inside. It was simple and had a homey touch to it. There was a fireplace in the living room to keep them warm at night, two sofas and a recliner which can certainly accommodate the six of them comfortably, a small dinning room close to the living room and then there is a kitchen.A staircase led to the bedroom. “Baby, are you okay?” Ian worriedly asked a shaken Kimberly who was on the ground with her knees to her chest, hugging her body tightly.Kimberly slowly lifted her head from between her knees at the sound of Ian’s voice.
