It has been four days, four days of hell for Roy. Kimberly has refused to see him or have anything to do with him, which saddens and upsets him at the same time, causing him to lash out his frustration on his pack members. He didn’t mean to do any of that, but he desperately needed somewhere to let out some steam as his wolf was slowly losing it. It so desperately wanted to go into Kimberly’s room to mark and claim her as his for days now, but Roy has been trying to contain his wolf’s yearning for its mate and it was beginning to take a toll on him.
He needs to talk to someone and get this torment out of his chest and he knows just the right person to talk to.
With that final conclusion, he stood up from his study chair and headed for his bedroom to freshen up. He didn’t have an idea what his room looked like at the moment, as had deprived himself from having a proper sleep for days. He hoped that
Roy drove his uncle back to his house. When they approached the door, he suddenly stopped and turned to face Alan.“I want you to explain everything to her, carefully, because as it is, she is already mad at the fact that we aren’t humans… I want her so badly, but I don’t want to scare her away. I’m willing to go at her own pace, no matter how long it takes.” he explained to his uncle, who gave his shoulder a light squeeze, to assure him that everything would be fine.Alan could now tell that what was eating Roy up was the fear of rejection. The fear of waiting for so long only to get rejected. Roy had always been apprehensive about finding his mate. It took him quite awhile to convince his nephew that he wasn’t going to suffer the same fate as Hugh. Now that he has finally found his mate, that fear has returned. He gave Roy an understanding smile and the latter let out a deep si
“You knew my mother?”Kimberly couldn’t believe that this stranger knew her mother. How is that even possible? She wondered, but immediately shook off that thought. She wanted to know more about her mom from someone else other than her dad, who only told her how much her mom loved her and how she would’ve loved to see her grow into the woman she is today.“Your mother?” Alan asked, sounding even more surprised this time.“Y-yes. She was my mother.” Kimberly quietly replied, her brows furrowed in confusion.“You’re trying to tell me that you’re not in any way Hailey?”She nodded in reply this time, not trusting her voice as she was now aware that this stranger mistook her for her mom because she was her spitting image from head to toe.Kimberly had lived with that pain everyd
Kimberly couldn’t believe any of this. Her mom was a werewolf. All of this is crazy.“I’ll get us more coffee” Christine suddenly announced, walking to the coffee maker. They hadn’t realized that their cups were almost empty until Christine spoke up. They were glad she did because, it helped ease the rising tension. She refilled all the mugs before joining them again.Alan took a deep sigh and continued.“As werewolves, we usually find our mate at age eighteen, unless it takes longer due to some reasons.” he explained, stealing a glance at Roy who had his head low.Kimberly caught him as he glanced at Roy and she couldn’t help but do the same and noticed he had his head low. She realized from Alan’s statement and Roy’s current position that he hasn’t found his mate. She instantly felt pity for him.
Alan and Christine returned home later that day. Christine could tell how confused her mate was about the whole situation, as she could feel his guilt and discomfort. She knew he was feeling guilty because both men in question were his nephews and they both deserve a chance at love and being the person he is, Christine was certain that he had promised to help Hugh bring his mate to him, thinking it was Hailey. Now that he realizes that it isn’t her, he has no idea what to do.Taking a deep breath, she joins her mate on the couch where he was quietly sitting since they got back from Roy’s place. She placed her hand on his, entwining their fingers.“I understand how you feel.” She quietly said.“It’s not as easy as I thought. They’re all affected by this, especially Kimberly. She has no idea what this is all about and now the worse part is, she isn’t even
The moment Roy opened his eyes, his nose was filled with the sweet scent of his beautiful mate. He felt a weight on his chest and around his waist, but didn’t bother moving so as not to wake her up. He gently stroked her hair, letting her strawberry scent please him.“Rather than thank you for saving my life, I yelled at you. I’m… I'm sorry.” Kimberly murmured, making Roy stop what he was doing. How didn’t he notice that she was already awake? That wasn’t even what surprised him. The fact that Kimberly was apologizing was what shocked him. To say he was speechless was an understatement, he was stunned.“I-““You don’t have to say anything.” she cut him off before he could say anything.“I said so many hurtful things to you, which I now regret.” she continued.
Mr. Wright was now beyond worried about his daughter’s whereabouts. He had called the cops after it was impossible to reach her. The worse part now was that, she was nowhere to be found. Same thing as Ian who was long due to have returned back to sea.The cops had searched every resort, hotels and any other place they could think of, in California, but there was still no trace of Kimberly or Ian. This is getting more frightening as the possibilities of his daughter being kidnapped or even killed ran through his mind. He shuddered at those thoughts, hoping none of them were a reality. He prays his princess, his world and pride was okay, because if something bad happens to her, he doesn’t think he'd be able to live.At that moment, his phone rang. He didn’t bother checking the caller ID, hoping it was the cops calling with good news.“Ben, it’s Tony.”
Hugh still couldn’t believe what Alan told him, that his mate, Hailey was dead. Now he understood why he was going through immense emotional pain for so many years. He always had the feeling that his heart had been ripped out of his chest, causing him to feel empty. It was because his mate was gone forever. She isn’t coming back like he had always imagined. He feels like a complete idiot for not fighting for her love then. If he had fought to win her back, she would still be alive, by his side, as his Luna and the mother of his pups. Why did she have to make such a stupid choice? How was she even able to subdue her wolf from desiring its mate? Why did she reject him when she was fully aware that she’d be hurting not just him, but herself.Hugh couldn’t stop thinking about his deceased mate. So many questions were running through his mind, making him wish she was alive to answer them all. The thoug
“Hugh!” Roy growled and turned around, immediately shifting into his wolf form, running towards the direction of the woods. He was beyond enraged. Why would Hugh do such a thing? This was crossing the line. He swore to himself and the moon goddess that he would tear Hugh apart when he gets his hands on him.“Roy!” Alan called out, also shifting into his wolf form going after Roy, Elijah followed behind.“Roy, this isn’t the right way to go about this.” He tried stopping Roy through mind link, but Roy wasn’t in the mood for his uncle’s bullshit.“Roy, stop!” Alan warned, jumping in front of the larger werewolf who didn’t think twice before pushing his uncle aside and continued his journey. How could his uncle tell him not to do anything about it? This was his pack they hurt, the family he had swo
