February 21st - Interrupted

"Oh shit, sorry, lil bro. Do you have company under you there," Eli winked as he looked at his brother, who was shirtless and panting.

"Fuck Eli, get out!" Ethan yelled out. Watching as Eli started to make his way closer.

Riley covered her breasts with her hands while blushing and trying to sink into the couch while hoping Eli didn't walk any closer. This was not the way she wanted to meet the rest of Ethan's family.

Eli held his hands up in the air and said, "Fine, fine, take away all the fun of letting your big brother have a peak of whatever delicious little creature you have down there."

Eli sniffed the air. Whoever she was, she smelt fantastic. He had never smelt something so good before. The air smelled of sea salt and coconuts, like he just took a tropical trip to a far away island. His wolf stirred and didn't want to leave, but Eli needed to give his brother some space to finish up. He would get a chance to meet his little brother's new play thing eventually. Ethan never was serious with whoever he dated because he knew he would end up like Eli, having to choose a mate based on his parents' pickings unless he found his fated mate.

As Eli left, Ethan sat up and grabbed his and Rileys belongings. He passed Riley her bra and shirt, which Riley quickly straightened herself out. Ethan threw his shirt over his head again.

"I'm so sorry about that, Riley. I didn't expect anyone would just walk in like that," Ethan said sadly.

Riley grabbed Ethans face and gave him a kiss, "Don't worry about it. I don't think he saw me, and I didn't mean to get carried away so quickly. Maybe it was for the best."

"You're probably right. It was amazing, though. I honestly can't wait for the next time we get to hang out. Anyways, I should get you home now."

Ethan grabbed Riley's hand, but before leaving, he gave Riley a hug and another deep kiss. He really didn't want Riley leaving but knew it was time for her to get home. Ethan led Riley out of his room and down the stairs, out into the night air where his SUV was parked. They both climbed in, and he took off towards her home. Once they reached the house, Ethan walked Riley to her front door.

"Thanks again for tonight, Ethan. I really enjoyed our time together," Riley said as she tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Can I see you again tomorrow? Maybe breakfast at the pack house and then we can go for a walk?"

"That sounds great. I can't wait."

The door opened, and there stood Rileys dad. What was with everyone interrupting them tonight?

"You're home! Come on in and celebrate with us!" Jack said as he looked at Riley and Ethan with a huge smile on his face.

"Celebrate? What are we celebrating?" Riley laughed as her dad's excited aura and smiling felt contagious.

"Well, come on in and find out!"

"I better get back home, but it was a pleasure meeting you, sir. I'll see you tomorrow, Riley," Ethan said as he walked away back to his SUV.

Riley waved and walked into the house. There was champagne in glasses around the dinner table where Sarah and Landon sat.

"Welcome to the party," Landon said, "you missed the big moment."

"What are you all talking about?" Riley questioned as everyone was smiling and laughing.

Sarah extended her hand, which sported a giant diamond, and it could only mean one thing, dad had proposed! Riley couldn't believe it. She covered her mouth in shock and happiness and then titled her head as she awed at her soon-to-be step-mom. She ran over to Sarah and embraced her with the biggest hug. Sarah felt overjoyed and welcomed.

"Congratulations, Sarah and dad. I am so happy for the two of you!" Riley said as she let go of Sarah and rushed over to her father to give him a hug too. Last but not least, she ran over to Landon and hugged him as well. He would become her brother after all, and he should feel just as welcomed as Sarah did.

"That's not the only news we have, though," Dad said as he walked to stand beside where Sarah was sitting.

"You're both going to be siblings again!" Sarah said proudly as she rubbed her belly, signaling that she was pregnant with a new pup.

Riley gasped and clasped her hands over her mouth in shock and happiness. Tears ran down her face. She never thought she would be an older sister at 20, but here we are. Riley always wanted to be a big sister. Now, she was going to have the chance with Landon and the new baby.

After a couple more hours of spending time with Dad, Sarah, and Landon, Riley finally called it in for the night and headed for her room. Sarah and Landon ended up staying the night. Sarah stayed with Dad while Landon took the spare room. The spare room was technically Landon's anyways as that was where he stayed whenever they spent the night.

Riley still couldn't believe all the good news. It had been such a great day, and she felt on cloud nine. Once changed for bed, Riley flopped onto the bed and grabbed her phone. She texted Lily all that had happened. Although her, Ollie, and Lily had a group chat, she didn't feel like including Ollie in this conversation after what happened. Riley still hadn't processed all that had happened with Ollie, and she felt there was a change within their friendship she just couldn't control anymore. She left the details of her interaction with Ollie out to save Lily from having to pick any sides. Riley also noticed a notification reminding her to start packing. In a weeks time, she would be moved out and on her own in her own apartment closer to school and the pack house where the patrol training grounds were. She couldn't wait to start this new chapter in her life. She would have independence and control of her future. This would also give dad and Sarah a chance to decide where they would live. Maybe she would mention to them that they could move in here and use her old room for the new baby. She was sure they would be thrilled with the offer.

All of a sudden, there was a small knock on Riley's window. She looked over and saw another note taped to it. Her first thought went to Ollie, and her heart broke. She just wished he would move on as this obsession and crush on Riley was getting a little old. She walked over and opened the window as she sat on the bench of the bay window. She grabbed the note and opened it up. It read that she would always be his... Who was he? Was this from Ollie? And why would she be his? This note made absolutely no sense, and so she tossed it in the trash and walked over to the bed. It was probably just a prank, or Ollie's trying to make amends with their friendship. Whatever it was, she didn't care and had happier things on her mind as she closed her eyes and went to sleep.
