Focusing on doing your work is hard enough without your co-workers constantly stealing glances at you. I could hear all of them talking in hushed tones when my face was buried in my screen, but the moment I lift my head up, all of them would stop and pretend to be doing something else.
"Let's have lunch." Andrea suddenly appeared behind my cubicle. These are the times that I'm absolutely grateful that I'm working at the same company as my best friend. My mom did as she promised and immediately sent the details to me the very next morning. I know it was a rushed decision, but that was the only way I can think of. The song started and I couldn't believe his choice of song. It was a love song, more appropriately, a confession song. I knew this because it was the same song I sang for my first crush, Caleb when we were in high school. It's been a while since I heard this song. Gosh, the nostalgia. Our attention was then all focused on Gavin as we waited for the first verse to start. And when it did, my jaw almost hit the floor. And I wasn't the only one, I looked around and saw that everybody, except Gabby, was in awe as Gavin continued singing. His deep voice was so smooth that he can pull off the song so well, even the high notes. He sang with so much emotion that I can't help but be carried away by his singing.
