Chapter 7:Jealous

"Okay, here we go Bea..." She mumbled to herself when the bell finally rang at exactly four PM.

It's the moment she has been waiting for since early in the morning. Together with the courage and renewed spirit she has, she is now willing to put her battle towards Thyago's heart to the next level and take a risk and do something more than the ordinary. Her friends are definitely right, it is now or never. What may be the outcome of this, at least she tried. If Thyago can only offer friendship, she would gladly accept it. At least she got a chance to be close with him. Grabbing her things going out of their classroom. She walked fast without caring if she might bump into someone or she might slip and meet accident for being a careless one. Her destination is at the Student's Park, where she knew Thyago usually goes.

A smile automatically formed her lips when she saw him seated on a bench located under a willow tree then. Instead of wearing jeans and an oversized tee blouse like she usually does, she wore a denim skimpy skirt and a peasant top partnering it with white sneakers. She let her curly hair loose and put a light lip tint and light green shadow on her eyes for makeup. Hannah helped her do the makeup while Macky helped her to choose what outfit to wear. Fixing her hair after checking her breath, she then composed herself first then took a deep breath before she decided to come near him.

"Uhhh, Thyago?" Thyago's attention automatically went through her when he heard her call his name.

Come on Bea, breathe... Don't mind those attractive queering eyes of him. Yes, he was captivating and breathtaking but set those silly feelings aside just for now and focus on your plan!

"Uhhhhhh..." She started out. Pretending to look uneasy and hesitating, she comes more closer and sits on the bench beside him. This is part of her plan. She needs to be looking hesitating and a bit shy in front of him.

"I kinda have this problem and I would like to ask you a favor. Uhhh... W-well, I was hoping you could help me because you're one of the few persons I knew who can help me out on this problem of mine." She started.

"What is it?" He curiously asked.

This is it, Bea! Make your acting very convincing...

"To tell you honestly, I have gathered a bunch of strength and courage before I came here in front of you. I know we are not close but you see when you are in need, you tend to be desperate and hang on to possible prospects who can help so I set aside all the shame in me just to ask you this favor. Call me brazen-faced but I still ask you this favor." She stated acting uneasy and a bit shy. But honestly, a part of her is not really acting. She was indeed uneasy and embarrass but not the same reason she was trying to tell him.

"What is it?" He asked smiling.

Oh, that smile again... Stop it please because it's melting my concentration...

"Please teach me in our Math lesson. I know you're a Math geek so I'm definitely sure I came to the right person." She told him then grab her hand that made him surprised. His eyes widen in shock then looked at their now clasping hands. He then showed a mischievous smile as if he was amused by her.

Hope this was convincing. Oh gosh, why his smile and gaze make me lost my mind and forget my plan, dammit!

"What made you think I'm good in Math?" He asked with eyes flickering with amazement.

She then rolled her eyes before she answered:

"Come on Thyago, beyond the fact that you are good in all terms and known to be genius in Math which according to our Math teacher Miss Perez- you're her favorite and best student in Math. You might not know this but she always mentions your name in our class almost every day saying she has never seen a good student on math that can beat you. She keeps on proudly stating that you won 1st place in the National Math competition last year and you beat up all the Senior students in the contest knowing you're just a junior. Now don't tell me I came to the wrong person?" She said wittily while cocking one brow.

He stared at her for a moment having that amused and pleased look. Her eyes suddenly widened out when he laughed out loud after he heard her tailed those words. Her heart fluttered with joy hearing that laughter and knowing she's the one behind it, it really makes her glad.

Now I can make you laugh...

Your laughter was simply my happiness you know...

"I didn't know you know me that well, uh? Tell me Bea, do you have a crush on me?" To her surprise, it's as if she got choke on her own saliva the reason she coughs sequentially. Never expecting he will frankly ask her that question, she felt her cheeks heat with embarrassment. She got stunned for a moment and didn't know what to say or do.

"I'm just kidding." She heard him chuckled that finally made her loosen out.

She was glad he said that because she was caught off guard. She couldn't find words on how to deny the truth. She was not very good at lying, her Dad always knew whenever she was lying and she remembered telling her she was not good at it so never try to do it because it might put her into trouble. She just has to secretly heave a long breath to compose her feelings out of jeopardy.

"And what lesson in Math you exactly want me to teach you, Bea?" He said with a glint of mischief in his eyes.

"It is about Cartesian Coordinate Plane and on how to graph ordered pairs. Actually Macky and I got caught by Miss Perez chatting during the class. I know it's our fault so we got scolded for not listening. And to prove to her that we do understand the lesson, we have to pass the quiz she will gonna give tomorrow that's why I'm really asking you a big favor to please help me and teach me about it. Can you, Thyago? Please..." She uttered through pleading eyes.

Nice one Blessie! Very convincing...

Hope he'll say yes.....

"Sure!"

With that, she secretly felt delighted and wanted to jump in happiness when she finally heard his answer.

He moved a bit in the cemented bench and tapped his side motioning her to come closer to him. She gladly obliges and thanked him then excitedly pulled out her books and notes in her bag before she settled herself beside him.

When he started teaching her in the lesson, she tried to act she was eagerly listening and concentrating but honestly, she doesn't understand anything about what he says. It's not because he wasn't good at explaining but she can't seem to concentrate knowing Thyago is just an inch closer to her. She was concentrating more on what she feels for Thyago at the moment instead of listening to what he was teaching.

She could feel his warm breath fanning her cheek as they were too close to each other. His arm slightly touches hers when he moves creates a tingling sensation inside her. It kinda feels like she was drifting in clouds and she totally loves the feeling whatever it might be called. She suddenly wishes that this perfect moment will not come to an end. There is nothing she could give for this perfect moment. Sitting beside him as closer with him like this was magical. She might not understand whatever he was explaining but his voice was soothing she couldn't help to close her eyes and savor this moment.

They were in that position when she was suddenly teased to sniff his scent. His scent is addicting not just because of the brand of perfume he uses. It's like a mixture of sweat and sandalwood with a tinge musky scent. She never thought she will find that combination sexy and attractive. She loves his scent and she wanted to smell more of him. She even wants to move closer to him and smell his shirt. When she was about to do it, she immediately froze when he suddenly turned to her and their faces met causing her to blush. When he caught her staring at him as if she got scorched so she immediately jerked her eyes away from him in haste and pretended like she was not aware of it.

Drat, Bea! You almost got caught!!!

She suddenly heard Thyago cleared his throat after that moment. A few more minutes went by then he stops explaining. She gave him a questioning look and was about to ask him if he was done explaining but he talked first before her.

"Do you get it now? It was that easy and simple, right?" Thyago asked her.

Errr--- what!!! That fast? Are we done already? Oh no, I still wanna be with him more!!!!

She felt disappointed when he said he's done explaining to her lesson, that only means they'll have to go on separate ways after. She still wanna stay and ask him to repeat his explanations but she stopped herself to do so. She realized she should never do that. To look dumb and slow in Thyago's opinion is definitely out of her vocabulary. If she wanted to make a good impression, she should show him that she was smart and fun to be with. So this is enough for now, she decided.

"Yeah..." She decides to say lazily.

"Oh my, Thyago!" Out of nowhere, they heard someone's voice that automatically caught their attention. It was Elena who was now walking towards their place.

Great! Just great!!!

Another perfect moment ruined...

"I'm really sorry for keeping you waiting. There was just this-- "

Shock and disgust automatically showed Elena's face when she saw her with Thyago not expecting to see her around.

"Bea?" Elena's face darkened as her eyes glared at her. Well, it's an honor for her to annoy Elena.

Come on, it's not like Thyago is your property to even get mad seeing us together? You aren't the girlfriend yet so you don't have the right to act that way...

"I hope I'm not disturbing?" Elena stated in an annoyed and sarcastic tone trying to intimidate her.

"Of course not. Bea here just asked me to teach her in her Math lessons. Actually we're done, so shall we go?" Thyago said defensively as if a loyal boyfriend trying to explain to her jealous girlfriend. It suddenly pissed her off at the way Thyago acts at that moment.

Seriously? Is he that worried that Elena saw them together? Is he that too afraid to upset Elena? They weren't an item, are they? Perhaps, Thyago likes Elena the reason her opinion is too important for him. She has noticed even before that he has a special feeling for Elena but she took for granted it. Can she still do something about it if he does?

She saw Thyago clasped Elena's hand and that gesture tear her heart apart. Elena's face then brighten up and glanced at her with a sly and wicked smile as if she was trying to prove a point to her. Okay, she has had to admit, that made her jealous.

Really a witch!

"Let's go Thyago," Elena uttered giving her that irritating triumphant grin.

"We'll go ahead, Bea..." Thyago told her. She nodded as an answer then smiled at him.

"Thanks!" She replied trying to make her voice cheerful to hide the bitterness she felt inside.

"You're welcome." He stated before they went away and left her.

Again for the nth time around, she was left feeling like a loser. She watched them clasping hands while walking away delving with pain and jealousy creeping all over her chest. She sighed in frustration before she decided to leave the place but one thing she promised herself, she still doesn't give up...

Dear Thyago's Note:

I did what Macky and Hannah told me. Those friends of mine really care for me to even support me towards winning your Master's heart. I have to let out this feelings I feel for him for I am just simply a slave of him hoping he'll soon fall for me too. I decided to change my outfit although it seems like he didn't even notice it. For him, I'm willing to do everything so he could notice me.

I asked him to teach me in my lesson in Math and he gladly taught me and share a little bit of his knowledge with me. He was smart, kind, and oh so good-looking. He's also sweet, funny, and mischievous plus he smells so damn good. Everything was perfect at that moment, his breath fanned my face, his scent filled my nostrils and we're too close together. You know the feeling you wanted to stop the time and stayed that way for a long time? Everything seemed to be fine and perfect under the sun if only the ugly villain never entered the scene. Elena was simply a witch and I hate her for ruining that perfect moment of mine.

Elena sucks! I should have killed her and break her limbs! Haha!
